I think you should be allowed o have sex when you're 12 as long as you take the following precausions:
1) The male must wear a good condom
2) The woman must take a morning afterpill
3) The sex must end with masturbation or orally, not intercourse
What are your opinions?

Yes, because everyone's going to follow those rules, and its totally possible to enforce them...
There are many truths in this world. No one thing is ever real. No one thing is ever right. No one person can ever know the whole truth, regardless of the facts they possess.

Wow, thats sick especially if the male is 30 and the female is 12. Now two people of equal or at least similar age can do whatever the fuck they want in my book.

...You're joking, right?
I'm assuming you mean sex between two minors. (If there's an adult involved, that's a whole other issue altogether.) At that age, they're still going through puberty. And what if the girl gets pregnant? No matter how good the condom is, they're not 100% effective. A girl's body can't handle a baby at that age. Girls have died trying to give birth at that age.
Secondly, there's no way of enforcing the rules you suggest. Also, the honors system will not work in this case.

Stupid rules to enforce.
Don't try enforcing sex laws. It doesn't work.
Also, morning after pill = abortion and maybe dangerous.

You do that and some sicko will want to have parent supervision as a rule. Thus increasing child pornography. See bad idea.

According to Indiana law, a 16 year-old can legally engage in sexual activity. As per the subject, I, for one, don't give a damn if underage people have sex (with eachother) or not.

12 year old kids have no idea what the hell sex is. It's an intimate thing between two adults. Sex isn't just having a good time, it's something you share with somebody else. Kids that young, and pretty much through most of the teen years, are totally clueless.
Think you're pretty clever...

Do kids even know how to have sex at 12?
And Im sure there are alto of doctors out there willign to prescibe 12 yea rold girls birth control medication (the pill or morning after).
Oh and on top of that, who is gonna pay for the pill? Mom and dad?
Sussy: Hey mom can you give me money to pay for my morning after pill?
Mom: Tell Toomy he better start running now, cause when I catch him I will chop off his penis, since he cant keep it in his pants.
Somehow I dont think too many aprents are gonna fork over money for the morning after pill for their 12 year old daughter.

I agree completely, the number of unplanned teenage pregnancies (and those which stand in the way of education/career opportunities) alone is enough to deem that kids these days don't have a clue.

Im not agreeing that underage people should be allowed to have sex, but i disagree with you ascertion that sex is an intimate thing done by two indivdual who are truely in love. Sex is a primitave instinct which aids in population growth and allows a species to survive. Humans are one of the few animals who do it for pleasure, or love, or anything else for the matter.... So honestly sex is whatever the two individuals want it to mean.. it can be a sealing of true love, or a night of fun.... its better if in the latter case protection is used, but thats their descision.

The problem is that most kids don't really understand that distinction, a bit of fun can very easily have life changing concequences.
I'm not saying underage sex is wrong - but it shouldn't really be encouraged.

No, it stops the pregnancy in exactly the same way the pill does. You are greatly misinformed.

You're wrong. The birth control pill primarily works to suppress ovulation by displacing a hormone that makes the woman's body think that it's pregnant.
The Morning after pill takes a fertilized egg and makes sure that it has no chance to survive by embedding itself into the uterine lining. Since the egg is fertilized and you are destroying the egg, it is an abortion.

Sex takes trust and responsibility. How responsible are 12-year-olds? Actually, how responsible are 20-year-olds for that matter?
I've heard more than my share of horror stories about drunken parties and experimentation and the next thing you know you've knocked up some lass and before you know it you can kiss your future goodbye.
I hate quoting TV shows, but Gil Grissom in CSI got it right when he said "most of these kids can't find their own asses with a map". It really is true.

In Alabama, you can be prosecuted for prostituting a minor between the ages of 16-18, but it doesn't say anything about penalties for children under the age of 16. O_o
I think the topic starter is trying to suggest that we lower the age of consent from 18 to 12. But if we lower the age of consent by 6 years like that, wouldn't we also be lowering the minimum age at which a person is considered an adult (and therefore able to enter a contract)?
On the other hand... it would make the pool from which the draft is pulled from a LOT larger. XD

Those pill things increse a chance of getting cancer by 10 or something like that (just something i heard) Anyway, you only have 6 more years until your 16... you can wait, right?... Don't try to change sex laws. Thats kind of stupid. Wouldn't you need 'parental supervision'?

Primarily, but that doesn't happen much of the time. Which is when the secondary function, which is the exact same function of the morning after pill, kicks in. It stops the egg from attaching to the uterine lining.

Actually, the morning after pill works in the exact same way is the pill, which your own source said if you would have read it. It's primary function is also to stop the release of an egg (something you may not know about women, they do this thing called ovulation, there isn't always an egg ready), it's simply a higher dose so it kicks in faster than the pill. Thats really the only difference between the two.

Look, if the egg is fertilized, and the baby is not allowed to live due to an outside drug, it's an abortion. The Birth control Pill's primary method of making sure the baby is not born is suppressing the ovulation process. Even if the morning-after pill does the same, the assumption is that ovulation has already taken place and it's trying to prevent the fertilized egg from planting itself. If the baby dies the same way from birth control pills, than it's the same deal: aborted human life.
What I said ("The morning after pill is an abortion pill") was correct. I already know that you have no problem with abortion, so whatever.
