Make sure the vocals aren't occupying the same frequencies as the guitars, bass and drums.
Also...try turning the volume up? :/

Instrument volume down, vocal volume up
Play with the EQ to shift the frequencies about a tad. If two instruments share the same frequencies, they can cancle each other out, making them sound like they're quieter than they should be.

I´ll help too!!!!
Try messing with the EQ on the different channels, and perhaps you should try lowering the volume on the other channels! That should do the trick for you! No need to thank me, I´m such a nice guy! Bye bye!

Oh, also, something I forgot to mention (Rucklo made mention of it):
Try playing with your track levels a bit, and also, try adjusting the EQ aswell.

and dont forget, fiddle with the EQ and turn the track volume down on the backing track...

Good point! I totally forgot about that! That's a very creative way of approaching this problem. There is one problem though, i think you probably want to 'mess' with the EQ rather than 'fiddle' with it.

ooo.. dunno about that. How about playing with the EQ a bit... and don't forget to try ajusting the mix volume!

The eq and frequency's could be your problem...also you should try using pornographic sound clips, sound effects, and midgets to help any problems you have with making good music.

Obviously people don't know what the hell they're doing. You have to turn down the EQ, and fiddle with the volume

That wouldnt sound right! I'd say, boost the middle frequencies on the EQ and turn up the volume just a tad.

Compression! you need hi-ratio compression on vox. also automate your volume on vocals to push it up through the mix when you can't hear it.

Do you know how WRONG you all are? What you have to do is PLAY with the EQ and TWIDDLE the volume knobs.

I twiddled a volume knob once... when it didn't twiddle back, I knew it wasn't meant to be.
