Congratulations. I wouldn't bother with any of the negatively oriented comments posted here; most people here aren't shining examples for wisdom and prosperity.

Weddings these days can cost close to $50,000 or more. I think if you want a cheap wedding it's still going to be about $20,000.

Do your parents know? Are they ok with it?

What about your guys future? Got any financial reserves? A saving plan at least? At your age do you even have a stable career?

Marriages are not just something you do. Its an agreement to share everything including your money and your lives. I am not trying to discourage you just saying do you understand all of this?

1) I have a pretty rich familly, so 50,000 dollars isnt that bad

2)my parents know AND are happy...they love Mitch like a son

3) He recently graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in phsycology and I'm going after the same thing...he already has a job in fact, he starts Tuesday at a division of UPMC that does phsycology

4) and I was born and raised Roman Catholic.....I went to a private school for 10 years..I know what marrige is......and besides...I've been in love with Mitch scince I was 13.....

Marriage now days is more of a government thing that anything these days. If it was still religious divorces would be unheard of...and nobody would wear white to a wedding either.

In actuality, a white gown is not representative of virginity. All brides can wear white. What represents virginity is the veil over the face. A virgin should wear the veil over her face, a non-virgin should not cover her face with the veil.

Well, I wish you the happiest. Personally, I would wait to be married. A long engagement is a very good idea. Let me tell you something about men. We're wolves, snakes, and sharks. All of us. So, I really do hope that you have a happy marriage and it really is "till death do you part." I would also caution you.
