I really want to do a cover of a song from Final Fight One, but I've tried recording with a piece of shit USB mike from my TV with pitiful results. I've heard you can record from some emulators. I have a ZSNES emulator, does anyone know a way I can record from that directly to my computer?

Its possible, but you need a decent quality soundcard (SBLive! or better).

Open up your recording program, such as audicity, soundforge and set audio input on your sound device settings to 'What u Hear'. Then hit record, go in the game, and play.

If you cant do that, try jacking audio out directly into mic in...

I've got a friend with a badass soundcard and a copy of soundforge so I'll probably be able to get it from him. When the metalized version is finished I'll IM you or something if you want, I love old school nintendo tracks too.

Most of the music from Final Fight One sucked, but that one song when you're in the second part of Belgers Mansion rocked like fuck.

If your looking just to listen to the tune, you can grab the SNES .spc file from http://www.emuparadise.org/music/snes.html
though you'll need to get a spc plugin (WInamp works well for this).

I thought I be nice and convert one to .mp3 format. Winamp has a Filewriter option to convert audio files to wav/mp3.

Most TV's have a headphone socket. Wire a jack to jack from your TV to the microphone socket on your computer.

Thanks, I just needed the song for reference, sorry I didn't make that clear in the first post, and I've got winamp on another computer so I'll check it out there.
