I Want a Mohawk

I want to style my hair into a mohawk just for the fun of it to see how it would look, because I'm considering getting one. I have pretty long hair (KIND OF near shoulder length, KIND OF) i tried to style my hair into a mohawk with massive amounts of gel, and my hair just kept falling back down. My hair wont stick up like a mohawk. Can someone please tell me how I would get my hair into a mohawk?

How do I get my hair to stand up in the position though? it falls back down right after i let go of it.

Gel is weaksauce. For a proper mohawk you have to use a muxture made up of one part water and one part Elmers White Glue. It's the best way to do it and it's actually cheaper than hair gel.

I new a kid once... His hair was kind of 50's style. It was hard as a goddamned rock! It seriously would break your hand if you punched his hair lol. He told me what he used once. Got it at walmart or something. Can't recall the name.

Some people use objects like trapperkeepers or binders to do it. I dunno, I don't have one. Be creative. Harness the powers of human technology.

So what I do is spray the can of hairspray while holding up my hair and then quickly latch on the trapper keeper and/or other object to hold my hair in place. this is all?

You mix one part Elmers White Glue with one part water in a cup, apply it like you would gel and shape your hair into a mohawk.

You said you wanted a mohawk, that's how you do it if you want a proper one. Go to a decent punk concert and at the end of the day half of the people who had mohawks at the start just have clumps of hair hanging off of their heads. Those are the people who used gel/hairspray. The people who's mohawks will stay up for the entire show are the ones who use the glue mixture. You asked a question, I answered it. Use the knowledge you gained or not, it's not my problem.

You can use those too, but hairspray doesn't stink as bad after 4 days. TROO PUNK SQUATTER STYLES. Elmer's glue is expensive, and it burns worse than hairspray if it runs in your eyes.

I think you just need to put a shitload of spray/gel in it. But only do this if you are into hardcore punk, nothing less. Or else you are lame.
