anyone know anything about ram 2005-09-30 20:04:09 Reply

my computer has 504 mb of ram and i want to run a program that needs 512 mb of ram. if i try to download and run the program without upgrading my ram what will or could happen.

An average computer can hold up to 1024mb of ram. If you want to make that program run faster, upgrade your ram. It's easy to do.

RAM is involved in loading data and applications. The more RAM you have, the quicker your programs can load, and the quicker they can do other loading/saving related tasks. Just running Windows XP, for example, requires you to have 64 MB of RAM in your computer.

You'll be fine 4 MB short of 512. It's not much.

nothing at all, my comp is T3h shittiest comp in the world! and it can run things like flash mx with no issues (flash mx requires about twice the RAM iv got)

Whoa I didn't know that was possible...
Is that combined ram or just your graphics card? If its the combined total I don't suggest you play the game (unless you drop the graphics and don't care about laggyness or overheating or clocking...).
If its your ghraphics card, that its probably just your physical capacity and that means you do have 512mb ram
