Computer status: Pwnt.

I just read the greatest pwnage ever here.

For those of you not signed up:

So...yeah.

Yesterday morning, I think one of the hard drives in my desktop was starting to die, so I shut my computer down before heading to work with the intention of coming home and backing stuff up.

I came home and didn't get back to it untill late at night because I had been grading shit all night and wanted to get it all done. I finally cleared off my desk, put in another HD to move stuff onto, and stood up to put the computer back in its place and hook up the external cables.

As I started to lean over, I realized I was standing on something, but too late, as it slid out from under my right foot, crunching and flying backward, and sending my body flying forward. The open computer in my hands landed smack-dab on the corner of my giant oak desk with my body still applying the entire pressure of my falling ass behind it, smashing the heat sink through the motherboard, crunching at least one of my memory sticks, and pretty much snapping my video card in two, among other things.

I matter-of-factly yelled "FUCK!" before getting back to my feet and finishing off the smashed computer with another angry, purposeful stomp. I then trudged across the room to see what I had stepped on in the first place with the intention of making it pay, only to find that it was, in fact, my fairly new AMD 3200/9800Pro 256/Widescreen laptop, not only crushed under my foot, but also smashed against the wall after ejecting my body forward, which also removed the (by that point) broken screen and placed it neatly beside the smashed case amongst the other detritus and still spinning bits of disaster.

So, that was nice. I managed to destroy over $4,000 in computer equipment on two different machines in .00323 seconds and now have a shitty 800Mhz shittop that my brother loaned me, and I hate it and it sucks and think I am done with computers because THEY SUCK.
