No what i really ment was, i am one of the idiots who reviewed the frontpage movie "The Assault" with a review, who weren't suitable to the newgorunds admins.
But! If it was that simple, i wouldn't post this topic, as i'd accept it, because i regret what i wrote.
No, i'm more wondering, because i'm not sure thats why i was "review banned" but i suppose it is, since i was suddently told, while writing a review: "You cannot write a review, due to ban" or something like that. So i was wondering, that was weird, and i looked it up on the help tab, to give the review rules a quick check. And i was still confused, because i've written quite a few reviews in the past, so i didn't know which of the reviews got me banned.
But, i am 100% certain, that rule number 8 was created after the 28th september. Anyways, my point is, this is what the subtitle of the review help reads: Multiple offences may result in all of your reviews being removed, or your account being terminated. So, you could concider this a simple pleading, but could newground users, including me, not be warned first, or atleast just get the post deletet or something less, than completely review banned? My post was, yes, violating rule 8, but i just dont think i deserve that kind of consequences, without a warning first.
I've always been a loyal newground'er, i would just really hope, i could defend my case.

If you think a submission doesn't belong on the front page of the site or sholdn't be featured in special sections of the site, keep it to yourself - the submissions on the front page and in special sections of the site are put there MANUALLY - that means someone in the administration team liked the submission. Keep your thoughts on track of how the person who submitted might improve their work.

As far as the topic goes, have you tried eMailing Wade about it? Are you sure your other reviews where ok as well? The "why is this on the front page" review could have been what got their attention, but when the review mods checked they could have found other reviews that where mean or hateful.

Worst case scenario, you'll have to wait the ban out. :(

First of all, how are they going to warn you? On a medium such as the reviews are they supposed to reply to your review saying "this is a warning" or e-mail you saying "you have been warned"? With as many abusive reviews the review mods get in a day, that would be not only illogical, but impossible.

Same thing with the BBS. Everyone always says "warn before you ban", then after they warn the person and lock their topic, the person continues to be a douche bag, or makes another topic saying "why was my other topic locked". So, in short... no. You're banned. Sucks for you. It'll be over with eventually.

In addition to the fact that the rules ARE the warning you get before being banned. If you don't capitalize on knowing and understanding them, sucks to be you.

Rule 8 or whatever you're referring to has always been implied. You're supposed to be reviewing what you just watched in terms of the flash, not where it is places, not what awards it has recieved, not how homosexual you may be able to infer the author is for the content of the flash, but the flash. Only.

Essentially, if it's more related to the context of the movie, instead of the content, you're breaking the rules.

You can't tell whether other people are banned or not. Only administrators and review moderators can. Essentially, you're wrong about this. Those people who review your movie with "blam" ARE banned eventually when they are caught. However, they're just placing their abusive reviews in a smarter place than you did. Review moderators are going to see abusive reviews on front page flash that brings in revenue for the site before they see abusive reviews on awful flash that gets user-deleted where reviews aren't visible until after the movie is gone.

The rules are your warning. You probably misread it, because it probably says "we will ban your account without warning if you break these rules."

Your reviews aren't visible when you are review banned. The point of the ban is to censor reviews and reviewers that are not appropriate. So when you're banned, your reviews are removed from site through your profile. I think you can still find them in the movie's review pages, but I'm not sure.

They aren't deleted, they'll be back when you're unbanned in a month or so when Wade finds the time to go through abusive flash and clear bans and assign whistle points.

I think the creator of the movie would be hurt, that i didn't think his movie belonged on frontpage, but i didn't. It was my honest oppinion, and you need those to determine your movies actual qualities. Also, my review weren't straight forward hatefull, i said good things about it (i recall) i just mentioned, that i didn't think it belonged to the frontpage... along with, that some people are more lucky with frontpage stuff than others.
