Wade, my good man i really need your help. Well my mates have a good band going and well they do alot of venues and i was just wondering if there was any chance that newgrounds could sponsor one of these venues please contact me in anyway possible i need to know

What exactly are you asking him to sponsor? I doubt that NG funds will go to help an outside organization, much less a very small one. They're spending enough money on the site as it is.

Dude thats what Audio portal is for.

I am not associated with NG, however, based on my knowledge on buisness. You would be better of if you write a Detailed Formal Request Stating: exactly what you want and what you intend to do. And submit it via email.
As I said before I do not know how NG runs but That is the basic rule of thumb when you submit a request.
It usually best if you send no more that 2 requests as well, The first one and a follow up about a month after.

Right im back, ok peple listen up this is what is happening. My friends are having a large gig and im the presenter, and i think it would be pretty good if we had a sponsor for the night. Today i had an idea "oooo why not newgrounds they wanted people to premote them and get people to visit there site" and thats what im thiking right now. By sponsoring i dont mean giving money! , god no i dont even trust myself just that i want permission to get sponsor and use the logo and slogan througout the gig cos' i thought i would get arrested and taken to court and sued. But this venue will give you a huge amount of publicity wade there is about 100 people going ot be there and after the gig they all be like "wow that was a wicked gig man, especially how it was sponsered and all" and also we are giving the money we raise to the red cross =) please wade think about it

As far as publicity goes 100 people isn't a whole lot. Why not just put some NG stickers up randomly around the place. Seeing as how this band is relativly unknown at this point it be foolish for a company to actually connect to it without hearing a sample of the music.

But I don't think the admins would mind some free publicity...

Why are you telling us this? We can't help you. I told you what you could do (send wade an email). All your doing is embarassing yourself in fron of all the forum users.
Besides which, if you don't want money then what do you want?
Personally, I see no advantages to either you or NG for doing this.

I've been to so many gigs with banners promoting some website or another, and you know what? I never visit them. And I'll bet 99% of everyone else doesn't visit them either. Why? You look at the banner, go "lol gay" then watch the band. No one wants to stand there memorising the URL of a site which will probably end up sucking arse.

And at a gig with a mere 100 people attending, your chances of people deciding to check out newgrounds are slim to bupkis.

Also, if you're just going to put NG stickers and fliers up, I think you can just buy them and hang them up, that's what they're for, you don't need to ask.
