I don't see why not. These things are already filled up so much with preservatives, fillers, enhancers, and other crud that don't enhance the healthfulness of the food, that I don't see why adding an ingredient to boost fiber wouldn't hurt.
So often times it happens, that we live our lives in chains, and we never even know we had the key...
