Why have a whole forum JUST for something random like Politics?

there isn't a whole lot that is random about politics...
Politics is anything dude.. anything you have an issue with... (just like you have an issue with politics)

I guess some people are interested in what's going on in the world, and don't like being led blindly by ignorant leaders. Sorry for all the sarcasm, but everyone should be involved in politics. The government wants its public to not be involved, it means they have a money source and say in all the decisions made. It is easy to just watch the eat 3 meals, surf the internet, watch the new episode of DBZ and go to sleep, but if everyone did that no progress would be made. Becoming involved in politics takes you out from under the veil of illusion some of your teachers have placed over you. It keeps you sharp, and maybe will help you to change the course of history.

My guess is that the reason there is a separate political forum is that politics is something that some people here want to talk about, but is something that not everybody wants to hear about. So, they created a forum to set off politics from general discussion.
