i have some code for a platform game, i recently got flash 8 and was playing around with it,
flash 8 comes with cool new stuff like glow and bevel i tryed using these and it said your rendering for flash player 6 and you need to be for 8. so i went to the settings and changed it to publish for flash 8 but this made my charictor now even move. i changed it to render for 7 and he can move left and right but not jump, so i have to stick with flash player 6 output :( why!?
also its using action script 1 if i change the prefrences to 2 it wont work,
so how do i change it work with flash player 8 and actionscript 2!?

AS 2 is more strict than AS 1 like flash player 8 is more strict than flash player 6, the reason for that is that it uses that stuff for speed advantages, if you define all your vars correctly, all your functions correctly, and don't use deprecated shit, flash player 8 will render your AS 4 times as fast.
