Nope, I was thinkin of Hoover. Franklin became president a few years into the great depression. Granted Franklin fucked up the economy more than Hoover, but at least he was trying to fix the problem.
But yeah that was a stupid post I made, you don't have to dignify it with a reply. Thanks

No I actually am a fan of FDR. I said he fucked up the economy because, in the short run, he did fuck up the economy. But his New Deal paved the way for the modern economic system in America with multiple safeguards against maldistribution of wealth. Plus he was a great speaker, which really is half the job as president.

Christ I pay FDR a compliment and this is what you say? I'm not talking about Reagan. I didn't say Reagan was better than FDR. And I said that the end result of FDR's work resulted in a strong and lasting economy.

Not clinicaly, I passed the sanity test. Why? I was smart enough to know what a sane answer was and I chose it.

I'd say you're insane because if I agree with you, this is what I get:

You are FUCKING insane. You are just starting fights. I AGREED with you, and you said that just for fightings sake. So maybe you have severe emotional issues you need to work out by starting fights with others when there is no disagreement due to insecurity. I don't know and that's your deal. But seriously man, people don't like that. People don't like when someone starts a fight just so they can get into a fight.

More jobs were gained (all time high), and controlled inflation. But he did have us a deficit. Over time the economy went back down, but skyrocketed up again.
So, he really didnt "fuck up the economy".

Lol, that worked REAL well. Laff.
I dont like him to much for the precedent he set for a gigantic goverment. He made our goverment into the juggernaut it is today. I dont like that.

I still dont buy the fact he was a great president. I just think he was lucky as shit a war started to revive the economy.
Worst:
2. Herbert Hoover
You cant have Coolidge up there and Hoover down here. They both were the same way, Presidentially. He just got way screwed over about what happened during his tenure. And I still think he did the good thing during the depression, take it cool, not act all crazy about it.
5. Woodrow Wilson
What did he do that was so bad? The only thing he did I didnt like was the income tax. Everything else considered, he was a pretty good President, despite the racism.

Sure its made us look bad in the eyes of the world but our standard of living is great because of it. It just depends on how you look at it. And yeah the maldistribution of wealth is OBVIOUSLY still present today, just not nearly on the level that triggered the depression in the first place.

Yes he did lie to the nation and that was a bad move, but his cheating on Hilary didn't effect jobs or bills or policy. The whole thing was a personal matter that really should not have been in the news at all.
I don't give a rats ass that he cheated on his wife, but he should have done it in a motel like a normal president. The issue here is that Clinton was having sex in his office with an intern, that kind of thing would get any normal person fired, but all he got was a nice hummer.

Impeachment is a trial, after the trial they rule on wether or not a president should be able to continue as president, Clinton was impeached but he won.

Impeachment doesn't mean one has to resign, it's just an acknowledgment that the president commited a crime. They just didn't think it was too important of a crime.

Impeachment is a trial... Andrew Jackson was almost booted out of office, save the fact that if one more person had voted against him in his impeachment trial, he would've been on the street... wow...

Good to know. Then it must have been for the other genocide then. I just remember covering it in my Human Rights class, and it was addressed by Noam Chomsky. It was one of the reasons why the US didn't get involved, simply because they were afraid that if they drew attention to the genocide, that people would research the history and find out that the killings were happening with US sold arms.

The NVA, the VCs and the Hutus all use soviet bloc or chinese weapons. As far as the Hutu-Tutsi thing goes, the international arms market is flooded with Aks, oftenn going for less than $50 a piece..
Noam Chomsky.
Noam Chomsky makes Marx and Lenin look like Republicans! Only far-left fringe elements listen to him!

More like the US did not want to lose American lives and spend American money in an African war where we have no real interest. Besides, if I sell you a gun, for example, if you kill someone, whose fault is it? Answer: the guy pulling the trigger.

I can understand some income tax, but I still dont like it.
On top of that, companies and the stupidly rich are skipping out on taxes way to much nowadays. They need to be taxed more, or at least make sure they pay the taxes they should be and not weasling out of them with the bazillions of exceptions.

There was no "greatest president". They all sucked (in one way or another). As for the worst president, I'd have to say Ronald Reagen.
