You.

I can see Tom getting a paycheck for advertising the Nintendo Revolution riiight now.

Im hardly a n00b considerin i havent attempted flash and im not planning to. Level nine also rules me out of the n00b category as does my silver whistle level and 98 reviews.
Also i never sed anything about the revolution. Your probably right that hes getting paid, but toms not annoying. Hes only the reason that you were actually able to say that to me. Lay off him

Horray for you Tom.
Come to think of it Behomoth is one of the small game makers that Nintendo is looking for.
Also I'd like to hear your idea's.

Was anyone else concerned about the fact that there were no actual shots of a game being played with it? Rather, it seemed to me just a display of what the developers would like it to do... often representing something quite different from what it can do.
Take the sword fighting game... all those different moves the guy was performing... they'd all have to be coded into the game to begin with, and that was a hell of a lot of unique movements there.
I'm not knocking it. I think it's about the coolest thing I've seen in a while myself, but it seems like the commercial was playing it up to be something simply can't live up to. Does anyone remember "The Glove" that Nintendo came out with in the 80's? Yeah, that thing was great wasn't it?...

Ok everyone is gettin their undies bunched up since nintendo is not including "a traditional contorler" Umm do i have to say that the revolution is 100% compadable with game cube parts? Theres even ports in the back of the Revolution for Game Cube contorlers. So just like the PS3 and the new X box it will be easy to make multi platform games. The New contoler for the revolution is quite shocking but think of this.... you are playing metroid prime, you use the control stick to move samus and you use the "remote" kind of like you would a mouse to contol her view... the fine people at 1up.com have allready played the revolution... go here http://www.1up.com/d..ewsStory?cId=3143782

Graphics have gotten to the point that any system can compeat with each other, its just the advertisers trying to make the numbers look good... basicaly you will get around the same expirence graphicly like you did this generation. Nindento saw this and they knew they had to bring more than pretty pictures if they wanted to stay alive.

This is the REVOLUTION

Exacly, great companies like the behemoth cant compete with the graphics of ps3 and xbox. They look so expensive to make that you could go bankrupt tryin. This is whay everyone is going to go to nintendo and they will accept the behemoth with open arms. Its not about the graphics people, its about the gameplay.

Also for any critics, the reason the controller looks like that is beacuse the revolution plays nes, snes games. his means the controller is used on its side so those games can be played as they were meant to be played. Playstation can hardly copy that, theyd just end up with another PS2 controller, same for xbox:P

I remember when that Kirby game came out like that,
where you had to move the whole Gameboy to get Kirby to jump.

ssuming that they aren't pressing the buttons and the waving of the controller really is how you do stuff.

Oh yeah, having 3 different processors so the xbox can process 9 trillion polygons per second sure is old-fasioned...
and still the playstation 3 looks better than the xbox :P, and doesnt make stupid packages to make you nuts trying to buy the right one

Yup, but they still only improved the graphics of both systems, they can't come up with revolutionary stuff like this. That's why Nintendo is winning the console wars :P.

@ people who are still if Nintendo made the right choice: Have some faith, untill now, nintendo hardly ever let us down.

Its nice to see so many Newgroundlings that like nintendo. I think it will be fun, therefore it will be a good console.
I dont need graphics i can just look around me to see the most detailed images ever
I dont need physics i can just drop a pen and watch the real time physics rendering in action
I need fun

That office sounds hotter and hotter each time you mention it.
It will be good to check out hopefully, next year :)

I lost touch with Nintendo after the Nintendo 64, but that controller is crazy- like you said, has a lot of potential. Hope to see some Behemoth games taking on the technology in the future.

Dont expect me to suddenly become a fan of it just cos Tom Fulp said so
Now before i get torn to bits by ninty fanboys i will give my opinion...
1. it looks crap, worse than the PS3 controller and i thought that looked like the devils sex toy
2. I'll get arm cramps, i play video games to relax not jump around and wave your arms, admittidly it might be fun; for a while. it's just like what happened to the DS touch screen. Nintendo focused entirly on gadgets and stuff then in the end the screens broke and lost their fun after a few hours of playing. After it was just like playing a generic handheld, another gameboy or Eyetoy.
3. I mean WTF it's a TV remote, they could still have kept the innovation that they wanted and still had a better design.

Now let the flaming begin :D
btw: i'm a playstation man myself so feel free to slag off the PSP and eyetoy all you want.

That looks...not very good actually.

I mean, it looks comfortable, but your hand going to start hurting like hell with the controller with all the buttons on it.

I guess they're seperate because they want to make controllers for left handed and right handed people for less trouble.

Looks interesting, but in my opinion, it kind of takes away the whole idea of what a video game is supposed to feel like.

Well, to be fair, most people do fine holding a regular controller for hours on end, and when you get engrossed in a game, you start waving your controller around (I always start tilting it to help me corner better on Burnout 3, for example)

I didn't know that Tom visited norwegian sites.

And the Revolution controller looks pretty awesome. Hopefully game developers will make good use of it. But it's wireless! >.< What if i lose in a game and decide to throw the controller. OMG that will be just like when i destroyed my cell phone:O

PS:Good luck with the office Tom!

Fair 'nuff, my friend actually stands up and starts jumping as he plays me on MortalKombat (then i kick his ass :D). But holding it at arms distance is different, as long as it's light i suppose it wont be too bad for short periods of play, but i couldn't use it for hours on end.
