In case you haven't figured it out after the many many times it's been explained, we help NG by posting on the front page. When we post, it draws more hits to our site giving us more exposure...the more exposure we get, the more traffic we're sending back to NG. There's also the little fact that some of us try to help promote others in the Portal and promote other NG content when we post. It keeps the front page from becoming stagnant as well...Tom, Ross, and Wade don't have the time to continuously update the front page. If they did that, they wouldn't have time for the million other things that need attention.

If you truly don't care what we say when we post, then just learn to use the scrollbar and don't read our stuff, ya lazy ass!
