Dubbed Naruto

I know threads have been made about it before, but im making one now because its being shown as i write this on cartoon network.

post your opinion on it here, especially if you have seen the fansub version before you watched the dubbed version.

my opinion, from what ive seen so far (around 10-15 minutes), is that they havnt edited it as much as i thought they would, and the voice acting is much better than it has been for previous dubbed shows (such as one peice).

I happen to be VERY pleased with the Naruto dub. :) They kept Hokage! :D The previews said "Head Ninja" and I almost started crying. "Third Head Ninja!" >_< I reeaally liek Sandaime's voice, it's very wise and er... old. o_O

Everyone else's voice is acceptable. I heard Kakashi's voice in the previews and it sounds great. Not as mysterious or laid back as the Japanese voice, but very good either way. Still haven't heard anything from Sasuke.. everyone else's voice good. :) Naruto's voice coulda been better, but I think it's acceptable. I can't wait for everyone else's voices, like Neji, Lee, and Gaara. O_O

The nosebleeds were edited out, but I guess it was for teh better. Silly dub-only watchers wouldn't get the nosebleed joke. Their expression is still priceless though. :D I almost started crying when Naruto said "Catra". :'( But then Konohamaru pwned Naruto and I was happy again. :)

"Beast" instead of "Monster". I liek monster better though.

Things that get on my nerves:

Most of you guys put your standards waaaay too high. Clone Jutsu is a shitload way better than "DOPPLEGANGER TECHNIQUE". Liek OMFGWTFBBQKTHXBAI?! And Sexy Jutsu is WAAAY better than "VALENTINE'S TECHNIQUE". So I dunno what the English Manga readers are complaining about. :\

I like it. I just don't like Naruto's voice. I can't complain about anything else, since I haven't seen the original uncut version.

Everything is good so far. Except the voices are way too monotone for the most part. For example when the character is showing emotion, such as anger, crying, hatred, the voice actors do not do a good job of emulating the emotion. I guess they're focusing too much on being audible and clear rather than speaking in the suitable emotion.

I've heard good things about the Japanese Naruto, but from what I've seen on this dubbed version, I don't think I'm going to start watching it... I should probably just boycott daytime Cartoon Network and stick with Adult Swim because there are only a couple daytime shows left, and I don't know exactly when they come on anymore.

I'm just waiting for new Fullmetal Alchemist episodes to start on September 17.
