But I see no reason why being gay should affect your friendship. If he starts to hit on you, which I doubt he would do, just tell him to stop if it gets too intense. But just because someones gay doesn't mean he is going to like, rape you. That would be like not being friends with someone anymore because you find out they are black or something... even though that wouldn't make much sense. Just don't ruin a friendship that old because he has different preferences. He has probably known he's gay for at least a little while before he told you. Obviously it wasn't bothering you. If you are worrying what people will think about you for being friends with a gay then go die.

Look, gays are nothing like they're made out to be, it's not like they're rainbow obsessant or anything, they don't have certain accents and they don't dress certain ways, well some do, some don't.
