What does anime have to do with proper anatomy?

Kid interms of anime you've got a long way to go. Start practicing with real bodies and faces first and work from there.

Actually it has everything to do with anatomy, think about it. Anime is nothing but a stylized form of figure drawing for likeness. Therefore, once you learn how to draw traditionally, you will be way better suited as an artist to mass produce anime-teki characters. I did the opposite however, because thats just what inspires me in this day and age.
No matter, a good traditional artist can emulate just about everyone. However, no ones line is really the same.
how to draw anime
READ BOOKS
here's a hint: start with a circle for the head....
wait...
here's some of my anime work on a special site...
Watch carefully!

drawing out of loose hand requires experience tough....
Be sure to start drawing with wirefrime characters
(Now you guys all know I CAN draw to)
have fun on creating your own characters
As long as you practice it really isn't that hare, i've beet drawing anime again (after giving up once) for 2 months (half an hour a day with tutorials) and my freinds already say im good.

Because erm.. anime has arms and legs and heads so does the anatomy of the human body. Horrah!

Actually never start with the head first; you'll never be able to do action poses properly. Draw a line for body direction, then start with the pelvis, work the legs, draw the upper body and then the head. That's how you do it properly. Oh work quickly and do so within eleven seconds, and yes it's possible

I agree intirely from personal experience. Starting with the head for complex poses isn't a good idea...
I allways create the head seperate because it has a lot of details, I leave the head on the character itself wireframe, and put the head over it with photoshop
hmmm i reckon... jst drawing wif pencil or something.. anything...
plan out the pose... with stick figures... make sure to give the waist width and the shoulders width and stuff, and noe the appropiate limb/body lengths for ur character.
when u got that done, go over with sausages around the lines... then finally add details at the end following the guide u made urself...
there are tuts on how to draw those details and stuff but i cant remember *use google*, but if u woch enough anime then u cud probaably jst copy it... but in any case it takes time...
hey look at that 2 seconds on a google sarch whew that was hard

i still feel that the only Proper way is too Practise and Pay attention to the shows that youre watching. Yes watch them for the action and the novilty of them but make sure you keep and eye on what's actualy happening.
~limbs
~facial Expressions
~reflexes
~mass animation (Some scenes have 20+ people in but there are easier ways)
~Smooth animation
all this can be learnt just watching the shows so to be honest i dont realy think that Tutorials will be any help ^^;

This iswhat i do all the time...minus the sausages...
Or trying doing it freehand and not getting in the minor details first
Copying other art over and over makes it easier to start making original pieces like this one which is a bad example of a period between copying and creating, it is ill-proportioned and noticably free-hand copied. There are no shadows on her chest because this is a depiction of a minor which is easier to draw because the proportion can be handled loosely. This was my first try...
