yes, you can, you set it up just like you would if you were making lets say a tutorial and then you save it as HTML.

Yeah it's possible to make an all flash site, this is mine.

All you really need to know are the _root function, the gotoAndStop function and buttons that link those functions... but I'm sure you don't understand me.

You have to pay for one. Usually if you sign up for a web hosting service (a good one), they'll give you the option to choose your domain name during the sign up, and then you'll have to pay for it periodically.

Alternatively, you could use a free web hosting service. Your domain name would include the username you choose during the sign up, and also part of the website's name.

www.150m.com is the web hosting service I'm using right now. It's free. Paid for ones are much better though if you get a good one. In 150m's case, it will be like this:
username.150m.com

Some free services have more annoying names, like www.freewebs.com/username

DO NOT use any of the paid for services from the free sites. They're not worth it. There are better deals out there.

I'd also like to note that this doesn't really have a lot to do with Flash, but I guess if you don't know what you're doing it would seem that way. And would someone please post some replies to the topic mentioned in my signature? I'd appreciate that.

Ok, you certainly don't know how the internet works. First you must get a web hosting. You can either get free web hosting (usually only gives you 100 Mb) or you can get paid web hosting which will give you more space depending on how much you pay every month. If you like you can also get a domain name although it's not necessary which is the name you give your web site. Usually you pay annually for that if you do not decide to get a domain name your web site will usually be name_you_choose_for_website.name_of_your_w
eb_hosting.com. I would reccomend though getting a domain name because they're not that expensive.

2k_rammerizkool, I believe you are getting ripped off. I don't know maybe it's not actually a bad deal, but there's a better one. Lower price but 4 gigs. Of course you also have to consider things like bandwidth, reliability, customer service, but this is a good one.
http://www.bluehost.com/

Stickmaniac, use www.150m.com it's the best I know. It's got ads, but that's the price you have to pay if you're making a free site. It should be pretty straightforward. Just go to site manager to upload files. The main page of your site needs to be named index.htm or index.html unless you're not using html files.

And would someone please reply to my topic. I'm sorry if it seems like I'm stealing views or advertising or something like that, but if it doesn't get a reply then it will go to the second page which few people look at, and I still haven't gotten all my questions answered. I can't bump it because I don't want to double post and I don't want to start a new topic pointlessly.

well, its a little too late and i dont feel like switching hosts AGAIN.

but besides 3 gigs of space, i also get 30 gigs of bandwidth a month, their servers are very reliable (so far), and their customer service is quick and helpful.

ill go check out bluehost, though.

^ i agree with the hearthrob sig boy up above... i think plainly put your trying to learn to run when you dont know how to crawl (metaphorically speaking).
Take some time to learn how the internet works, how a site gets on the web. Flash is just an form of dressing you can put on your site. Not really the way to get on the web.
Theres still quite a bit of non-flash related things you've got to do in order to prepare your 'site' to get on the internet. Even if you dont make a 'flash internet' you still have to go through the process like any other site.
Goto the public library ask your teacher questions and learn how the internet works atleast from a very basic level. It will answer many of questions.

YOU have time... we dont. and you know so little about how hosting and shit goes that you really need to quit being lazy and go and investigate matters yourself.
Googling things is a great start. If you really want to learn you should really take it upon yourself to seek your own answers when they arent provided to you by others as fast as you need them.

The BEST free host out there is Dhost.info, that's the one I use. You get 100MB+ of space (if you run out of space the staff will give you more), a hell of a lot of bandwidth, NO ADS, PHP/MySQL and other stuff related to that. But to run it you need your own FTP manager, since there isn't a site manager, but you can just download something like SmartFTP for free.

People probably do think that the host they use is the best one. Otherwise they would use it. I agree though that that host is way better that 150m. That's amazing. Lost of bandwidth, plenty of space for a free one, but NO ADS! That's incredible. Last time I found a deal like this it closed down because it was loosing too much money. I hope this one doesn't close down. PHP + MySQL too! And FTP acess! It's everything you could ever want from a hosting service. How could they possibly keep this up though? They're going to have to make money somehow or they'll have to close it down when too many people sign up.

About the credit card thing, I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. I hope you didn't accidentaly sign up for the paid for one. If you didn't give them your credit card number or anything it could be talking about those who do have a paid for account. It would've been a silly mistake to have signed up for the paid one by accident though. If you did sign up for the paid one, unsubscribe to it, and make sure that you read the instructions and help carefully so you don't make a mistake again. Most likely you're fine though.

This is all good advice. Just embed the swf file in your html. Dreamweaver is very helpful if you can get a hold of that. A site I created for a fitness trainer is triad-fitnet.com
