1:They build a city below sea level.Did they expect those levies to keep the OCEAN out forever???

2:They were told to get out.Now I understand crippled people with no cars but the only others that remained were being possesive over the few pieces of trash that they own. They would have only had to walk for half an hour.

3:Help and supprot is on the way and more coming as you read this. However because of all the extra idiots/looters that didnt want to leave and are now stranded on rooftops there has to be more work done to rescue them.Of course now it's going to take longer for the rest of the work to get done.

I say next time leave nature alone.Quit building under sea level. To that "Mayor"make dam sure your people are smart enough to start walking next time they have AMPLE warning of an impending catastrophe, don't sit and whine about Bush being too slow when half of the deaths could have been avoided. Its a simple case of passing the blame.

Anyway, if we want to leave nature alone, we should support the Kyoto Protocol.

I agree, does this guy think he is. If he was in their predicament he would have less to say on the situation. Just donate, they need it

I've been compiling a list of people who have shown interest in sponsoring (via email)! We need to start working out some pricing structures. I was originally thinking $500 and up, but we could probably attract more sponsors if we had a lower range as well.

Now I REALLY wish I had a PR team, we should be putting out a press release and attracting more widespread attention!

Because it happened in our backyard, not some commie asian country.

Well, I think that you should have levels of sponsorship, for example.

Basic Sponsorship $50- Get your site or business listed on sponsors page.

Bronze Sponsorship $75-$200- You get a small link in the credits of a game, plus your site/business listed on sponsors page.

Silver Sponsorship $250- $500- You get your logo shown on the credits of a game, plus you get your logo listed on sponsors page.

Gold Membership $600- $1000- You decide what they get

Platinum Sponsorship $1000+- You decide what they get there

As far as you needing a PR team, I will post something about this on Nitro Blitz, so you should get a few more people interested.

Newgrounds wouldn't be as well known as it is today if it was all hearts and smiles. NG has had a lot of controversial submissions in the past and there hasnt been any real opposition against them, so why start whistling now.

I reckon we should just vote accordingly.

I'm a little confused do sponsors pay to have the flash on their site or is there going to be a link in the credits?

A game about destroying New Orleans would be dis-tasteful as an auction item.

Well i would have thought that was comon sense, but I know some people wouldn't think of that. I know a few artisit and may see if they are goign to do anything, maybe I'll help them out.

lol... first of all, the city was built so long ago that they're not just gonna move it. as far as the levees go, they were supposed to replace the natural buffer zones (vegetation that soaks up runoff water and prevents flooding) so that minor flooding would not occur. but if the vegetation was there instead of the levees, the vegetation would have soaked up a lot of the water and new orleans wouldn't be flooded right now. as for the people moving out, as you can see, most of the people that didn't leave were poor african americans who obviously couldn't afford to move. lol only had to walk for a half an hour to get out of the way? wtf how about you try walkin a half our through a big city you fuckin bitch. if you walk a half an hour through new orleans, you're still gonna be in the path of the hurricane. even hours away from the area is still in a dangerous zone. you gotta downright retarted to make a post like that. george bush has done a shitty job with help for these people... help is on the way? yeah, that's all well and good after thousands of people die before that...

Hell, no! That would be hypocrisy at its worst! There were plenty of submissions making fun of the tsunami, a disaster of far larger proportions than this hurricane, and those submissions were very welcome to this site, and one of them was even featured on the front-page (and later in the Bastards collection).

Exactly

I personally like "heartless bastards" submission, and I wouldn't object if people made them about this particular disaster too, although I'd prefer if they were actually innovative or funny, and not just cheap shots at the victims.

Is this innovative and funny enough? There are a few cheap shots but for the most part people are getting angry over a collab that isn't even that offensive (OZCARRR)

There's a lot of suffering and death in the world. If you can't laugh at it now, you'll never make through what's yet to come

Once again, I agree

It was a great tradgedy because many people died in the disaster. Now this comes to no surprise to me because everytime there is a world disaster that hits CNN or Larie King Live there is always some poor basterd that has nothing better to do with his life but to make fun of things like this...well you wanna now what i think...i think the fucker should get off his fucking computer chair, stop making fun of things that kill people because i think that is now fucking laghing matter because people lose there life and they get what some basterd from america or canada making fun of them because they died.

and he should go get a real fucking job and earn some real fucking money because i think its sad to see a fucking guy at 300 pounds sitting in a flouting robbotic video game chare at like 40 years of age making fun of people. i dont know about u guys , BUT I THINK THATS FUCKING SAD.

Go get a fucking life u poor poor basterd because if u think making fun of people that have died and too see that the people that lost there grandparents and parents or brothers or sisters in a disaster like that u should be hangd or go do the world and the people u hert a favor and jump off a goddamn bride with your hands and feet tied and die.

then the people that cared for u...who am i kidding the way u act no1 probably cared for u. anyway Tom i think u should have some kind of policy against this kind of shit because i think its goddamn sad for some1 to make fun of some1 that has lost a dear person to them in a disaster like this.

No offence kid but if such a policy existed then this would also go against it. Dont get me wrong, i respect the fact that ur against people that couldnt care less. But you were complaining about him sitting making fun of people but you have posted this and it mostly consists you of making of this guy such as the ways that he would kill himself.

Listen people of NG. If you arent interested in helping just dont bother posting anything. We dont want to hear your reasons for not helping. This forum is for the people that actually care. Please make a donation to the red cross, you wont regret it.

I am one of the "bastards" that you described here. I made the Hurricane Katrina tribute. If I were involved in this disaster, I honestly wouldn't give a fuck what some guy on the internet was saying, because the internet is not a serious place. I think YOU should treat the situation the same way.

and he should go get a real fucking job and earn some real fucking money because i think its sad to see a fucking guy at 300 pounds sitting in a flouting robbotic video game chare at like 40 years of age making fun of people. i dont know about u guys , BUT I THINK THATS FUCKING SAD.

First of all, I'm 130 pounds. Second of all, I'm 17. Third of all, I'm in a wooden chair, not a "flouting robotic video game chare"
Seriously, what's up with that spelling? Are you fucking 4 years old?

Go get a fucking life u poor poor basterd because if u think making fun of people that have died and too see that the people that lost there grandparents and parents or brothers or sisters in a disaster like that u should be hangd or go do the world and the people u hert a favor and jump off a goddamn bride with your hands and feet tied and die.

Yes, because making fun of people dying is horribly wrong and you should never joke about it unless your joking about the person who's joking about it dying.
Is that what your saying?
GodDAMN you're a hypocrite.

There's no reason to have a policy against this, since only an idiot would realize that those parody flashes are simply there to illicit an extreme reaction from the average everyday Newgrounds user who takes the net way too goddamn seriously. This makes us parody authors laugh our asses off.

I don't know if you got my email or what, but I'm willing to have Dailytoon 200 sponsored for this. Since there was a portal day surrounding Dailytoon 100, it might be a good way to get a lot of sponsorship money.
