im tired of this gouging of gas prices i drive to school twice a week i live in danville ky and go to school in anderson county ky at the bctcs camupus there and i fill up my tank every monday after class at the same gass station on the way back home. monday it was 2.39 a gallon for regular and when i past by it after class on wensday it was 3.19 a gallon so i am ranting about this. also i blame the goverment for this. because one of the greatest countrys in the world(canada has offered to sell us oil for dirt cheep but that bastard grorge bush refuses to buy it because canada is not part of the group of retarded bastards called opec. so i say FUCK OPEC if the oil is cheaper somer where else buy it. here is a question for you say your driveing down the road and you need gas cus your rideing on fuems. you see two stations one says it is 2.89 for regular and about a mile down the road there is one for 2.49 a galon. what would you do saw off your arm to pay for gas or push that car to the cheep gas. i my self would push cus i am currently un employed and this has happened to me before except it was like 50 feet away and the closer one was like 10 feet but still i only had 5 bucks and i need to get to the bank to get my check chased to buy some gas.
i am pititioning our local and state goverment to put a stop to the price gouging and help us get cheep gas cus those lawenforcement people(police, fire deprtment, ems) dont have to shell out there life savings to buy gas for there vheicals excluding personal vheicals. and it is too much to buy a bike cus i have to have a three wheel bike to carry my books cause i have 10 diffrent school books for four diffrent classes. and i need a car cause my clases start at 8 am and it is 70 mile round trip from my house to school and back to my house which turns out to be with my car(vw bug) about 16 dollars in gass a week and including small trips around town to be about 50 dollars a week in gass for a car that gets a fucking 375 miles to a full tank of gas(actuall done it. had a spare can the back. the hatch was open to fit a tabel in it) which i sactuall kinda funny cause i rember this time 2 yrares ago gas was like 1.39 and a yearago it was 1.89.
i allready have been playing with the idea of buying a harley davidson trike (the small ones) to get around but you cant drive one year round without freezing your balls off. and mopeds are no diffrent you have to shell out liek 1500 to buy one that you can drive down the road that goes 65 miles an hour top speed.
the things i have found save me money for gass are eat out cheep buy th evalue menue stuff not the combos and stay away from arbee's(no affence to them it is just too expencive) go to the mattinne show at the movies cause here in town it 4 dollars which used to be 1(reuglar price back then was 3) till the tickets went to 6.50 for regular price dont buy popcorn or any snacks at the movies too expincive anothere good reason to stay away from movie popcorn is that an avg small movie popcorn w/o butter has 1500 calories and with butter it is 4500 calories.
yet i dont feel sory for other countrys where it is like this so any ways this rant is totalling up to three thousand four three hundred and nintey one charaters the longest rant i have ever posted whew. if there was a bus that went around that was not for senior citizens i ould use that but sence there is not i am forced to drive and make larger amount of time before i wash my chloths and i refuse to do what i like to call a run in run out fill up where i could lose my lisense and tarnish my spotless record with the police. not even one ticket for a motor vheicle violation.
and i have had to break my car insurance from my familes cause my sister is... how should i put it accident prone and i saved a total of 150 every 3 month's which just puts about enough gas money in my pocket to dive to school and back but that is it. nothing any more if you wish to donate to the devin needs gas fund e-wire money to this e-mail account i also have had to think of better ways of saving money which seem to go down the drain cause of inflatition god i cant wait till 2008 and this is making me more mad is that i have cleaned out my savings account from 1500 to 150 in the last month to surive for that long on. cell phones are not any diffrent cause i have to shell out 45 bucks amonth because half way through the month i start to use the phone and get bam overige charges because my sister uses her cell phone constantly and this is a familey plan where we have lie 1500 minutes wich she uses in 3 days when i look at my total used it is like at the end of the month it is like 250 and i look at heres it is over 1400(how can someone talk that much?) any ways back to the point gas prices are gouged big time cause you look at it. oi will use kentucky because i live in kentucky. where i live it is 3.09 a gallon and the way it breaks down is this. you take 33.4 cents out of the total for state and fedral excess taxes. then you take out what they pay per gallon and that is what they are making per gallon which what they make. (pauses for a second and thinks) i have just thought about it and now i also bleve it is the oil companies fault for gouging the prices of oil and the goverment need to stop listinign to those fucking damn fucking tree fucking hugging fucking hippies fuck those fucking hippies and bleed the fucking oil out of fucking alaska. looking back at what i just said i cant belive i used the word fuck somany times in one strech it is a total of 7 in one sentince damn i will probally get banned for this but i really dont fucking give a flying fucking rats ass now all i need iis sixhundred and sixtyfive more charaters to hit the 6500 mark and finally put a stop to this 590 okay i can do this i need to finnish the rant 540 i have a finnish for the rant gas prices are too expincives and need to go down just cause oil production was stoped at the gulf from that damn fucking hurrican kathrine dose not mean that oil compinaes should jack the price of oil up per barrel un less they are affected by it because down in summerset the price is jacked and there is a refinery there that gets stuff from the locals (tenn, ky, oh) they wernt affected the should be raped up there fucking asses like that damn president of ours need his fucked with a 10,000volt carge end.

I didn't read all that bullshit, but the reason the gas is going up is because New Orleans refined most of America's gas. It's not the government's fault or George Bush's; it's Katrina's.

Hey Kupaman, what's Spokane at? CDA is at $2.79, at least yesterday. I think I heard it rose to $2.80+. I fill up almost everyday now. Someone is going to pay for these gas prices, I'm going to punch someone in the fucking face! Some people are saying Bush is at fault, others are saying Michael Moore jumped and the refineries broke.

The main problem here is greed. The companies can get away with it, so they can. They take every excuse they can to raise the price. They said once production got up to speed, it would go down. Lie. When new oil is found, they say it takes a few days for the prices to adjust. But when a sparrow farts, price goes up the very next day!
It has nothing to do with storms, or war, or anything other than simple greed. To qoute L. Black, thats so greedy it's not even greed anymore. We call that "Piggy, piggy, piggy, fuck, piggy, piggy."
And they laugh all the way to the bank.

I think a big problem here is the fact that new refineries aren't being built. Katrina wouldn't of been so devastating if we had somehwere else to take our oil and refine it into the several levels of fuel.

true but comapines are greedy because of the fact that here in kentucky(where i live) there is a refinery in sumerset that gets oil from nebioring states not those that where really fucked up by katrina and they are ripping off the public with there gass prices of 3.19(down there earler today)

Yes. There are a few similiarities. However, this isn't a severe a situation. The oil supply may be affected somewhat, but it's not as catastrophic as the Oil Storm depicted. Moreover, most of the refining capacity (which has a greater influence on prices), is okay--it's just that the infrastructure has to be repaired, and some refineries will have to have some repairs done.
Unlike in Oil Storm, Katrina struck miles to the east of Port Fourchon and many refineries. The Port director has said the port just received some minor damage, and the "Loop", the underwater pipes used to unload supertankers, is intact and was/is functioning.
Besides, Oil Storm isn't just one worst-case scenario. It's three.
If Katrina had moved farther west than what it did, and terrorists took over Saudia Arabia, and China began outbidding us for oil, and the port of Houston was closed to a massive shipwreck, then you might have a point.
Katrina, however, was just a close enough call to give us a warning. It showed us how our nation is so dependent on such a fragile system. It's also given us an opportunity to wake up and realize this, and reduce our dependency on oil. Whether or not we heed this warning and take advantage of this opportunity will determine if an "Oil Storm" happens in the future.

Well something about the oil that you guys should know is that gas is running out. Soon there will be no more oil and funny thing is that plastic is made of oil and everything is made of plastic (almost). So with no oil (for now because it takes at least billions of years for fossils to become oil), we go back to the iron age or something similar. Every electronic devices are made of plastic, so no more computers and microwaves. Studies says that in about 50 years the oil wells will run dry, we'll still be alive, which means It's our problem. The price of the oil is only a superficial annoyance, but at least it slows down It's cosumption.
I just thought that you would like to know.

Did anyone else notice that the barrel price of crude has only jumped 125% since 2000, while the price of gasoline in the US has been raised as much as 400% in some places? I wonder who gets all that extra money? And what they did for Dubya to get it that way?

Speaking of oil and gas prices, has it ever occurred to you that the federal government told us that those oil refineries down in the hard-hit areas of New Orleans and such, have been shut down because of Hurricane Katrina?
That is complete Bullshit. We all know that those oil refineries down there compensate for about roughly 30% of America's intake on oil, while the rest of our oil is taken in from imports from other countries like those of the Middle East, Canada, ect. And that's like 70% of our consumption of oil here in the United States.

No it hasn't. The price of light sweet crude was $33.38 on 9/1/00. Yesterday, it closed at $69.47. That's a 208% jump.
http://www.eia.doe.g..national/crude2.html
On 9/5/2000, the average price was $1.79.
http://www.energy.ca..ne/margins/2000.html
The average price of gasoline today was $3.05.
http://www.bloomberg..9K2OL3w&refer=us
That's a 170% jump.
Ever notice how 208% is a larger percentage jump than 170%, and that you were wrong not only on your figures, but which jumped the highest percentage?
Stop pulling arbitrary figures out of your ass and do some research next time.

Or Venezuela, where it's 5 cents a liter. Or 6 cents a litre.
Wait...through the mail? The post office doesn't deliver liquids, let alone flammable and dangerous ones.

Actually, Saudi Arabia is about 90 cents a gallon, thats almost 4 litres. And Venezuela is around 12 cents a gallon (3.15 pennies a litre).
I wonder if I can sign Canada up as an OPEC nation, $6.00+ a gallon blows goats.

Apparently Canada is suppose to 'pledge' some oil to the US, but I don't know how that is going to work - almost all our exports of oil go there anyway. Oh well :|

Yes, i think its like 8 or 9 bucks a gallon in europe (2.50 a litre about). Not untill katrina hit gas was still like 66 cents a litre, while in Canada its substantially higher. 1.10 to 1.50 bucks a litre. Even after the hurricane its still less than a buck per litre down there, so yea - could be worse.

I'm sick of all this gas crap. Hell I just bought my first freakin' car and I can't even afford to drive the damn thing. I also agree that we should ban NASCAR if only temporarily so we can save a little gas. And because of those damn greedy bastards who own the gas stations I hear that gas is going to rise to about 5 to 6 dollars in a couple of weeks. I mean, its already 8 damn dollars in europe now.

Or you could stop whining about a fair market price, and cut back on buying it, if you think it's a problem.
Besides, a lot of other sports uses more gas than NASCAR anyway. You want to ban them, too?
