We should probably change the resulting text, but if you vote 5 and your vote triggers a score check, and the average score is below the threshold, the movie is blammed. You didn't raise the score enough to protect it so it was blammed. If it was maybe a .74 and you raised it to a .80 at the first check point you could have saved it. If it's a .50 chances are it's utter crap and you have no business giving it a 5. Although you're free to do that, you just don't get a point then. :)

I would just like to say that some crappy movies are DESERVING of protection because they are funny in their craptitude, and the resulting entertainment value makes them worthy of staying on NG.

Not all funny movies have to be made by a team of professionals and take months and months to make.
