Just write one every day, gfox. It won't take a whole lot of time to do, and will actually get you at a much better pace than most people on the list :)

I'd have a better shot of writing one every weekend.

But to even do that consistently, I'd have to start by POSTING every weekend.

CONSISTENCY. I'm as lacking in it as my Astros, alas.

I don't do anything most worknights but deposit, so there's no way in heck I'll be reviewing on 'em. I don't even vote on UJ on 'em, not that I have at all in weeks. But even once I restarted voting, I was mostly getting points on the weekends, and not much at all on weekdays. And if I can get my ass voting again and maybe reviewing a bit, my best shot of it is to concentrate on hitting a nice minimum for the weekend.

Maybe... 10 reviews a weekend? Maybe 5 if that's too tough to achieve.

Like I said, 26 weekdays off.

9 of them are for holidays the entire company observes (except for volunteers who get paid extra to come in on those days and work):

New Year's Day (or the Friday/Monday nearest to it if it's on the weekend),
Good Friday (I've heard we're gonna lose this one next year, though),
Memorial Day,
4th of July (or the Monday after it if it's on the weekend),
Labor Day
Thanksgiving Day
Black Friday (day after the above)
Christmas Eve
Christmas Day (unless one or both are on weekends, in which case closest weekdays possible)

And I earn PTO (paid time off) from work by working, which adds up to 17 weekdays I can take off due to being sick, needing time off to do shit (like move apartments), or to take a vacation (which I don't have time for this year).

If I work for the company two more years, I can take 21 extra days off instead of just 17. WOO HOO.

Well, 30+ was just a guess. See, I try to stop on number counts I like, such as 620, 636, 642, 654, and so forth. I've stopped on each of those numbers at least once in my time reviewing on NG since 2003, but often a review gets deleted a few weeks later, even back under the old system, and I'd have to review another flash just to get back to the number I should have... I had to do that many many times. At least a dozen. Sometimes had to review 2 or 3 or 4 movies all at once to fix my number.

The actual total from all of those instances is probably greater than 30, actually.

Anyway, here´s the update for this week. I must say, the activity is really low again :s

I am for a lot of things, but a review is meant to be helpful, if your intent behind writing reviews is to write a lot of reviews, then usually they aren't as helpful and meaningful as someone who thinks that they have something to say about it and therefore writes a review. Note that this is not true in all cases. That's why I don't have that many reviews, I usually only write if I have something at least slightly worth saying.

The main purpose for reviewing is to comment what you liked or didn't like and explain why. And also explain what needs improvements so that the flash artist can do a better job the next time around.

If you were able to read my reviews, which you can't right now because of the redesign, you would see that every single one of my reviews adds insight as to what I think could be improved upon in the flash. They aren't just two line jumbles of irrelevancy, I actually take the time to inform authors what I thought the strong and weak points in their work is. I find it very bold and a little insulting for you to come in here with no prior posts and begin criticizing one of NewGrounds most prolific, and a very respected reviewer.

I think I'm gonna finally start reviewing again next week.

I have a backlog of requests now, so I kinda start having to review again. Plus my job's gonna end since I'm goign back to college soon, So I have a coupel weeks free where I can review tremendously.

Yeah, Bob has classified it as a "Tier 2 Glitch" and hopes to have it all sorted out shortly after Comicon. It's all tied in to the fact that the "View reviews" links don't work either.

I found out that they do count for sure. YoinK pointed out that the numbers are changing on the Top 10 Reviewers on the portal stats page.
