Hmm, do you happen to be using my idea of stopping at 333 reviews for a while as well? Anyway, the reviews, yeah, it will go up. I'll need over 600 reviews to get there. I have started to review again, but if I make a lot of reviews on Saturdays and Sundays, I could reach the top 100 sometime. Maybe I could reach the top 100 by christmas, but it depends.

Besides, I'm not really making lots of reviews for the sake of getting to the top 100. I want to make lots of reviews for flashes I've enjoyed and getting responses from people. I really like receiving responses from people mostly. It makes me feel special. Also, a high number of reviews I would like such as 1000, but again. I'm not really aiming for the top 100 reviewers, but it would be nice to get there.

Well, it'd be a nice number to sit on for a while, but I would've done that back when I reached review #311. Of course, I didn't think about it then, so I guess I'll just keep going up and up until I end up getting as many reviews as I feel possible.

You know how me and my stats are. I like to accumulate as many as possible. However, I'm not going to make some rotten one-liners and consider it a review. I try and make sure I have at least a paragraph or more before I submit, much like I try and do with most of my posts anymore.

So how's everyone been reviewing this week?

I personally haven't had much time recently what with being sick and having a ridiculous amount of other work to do and having something else to do today outside of Newgrounds. But hopefully I'll be back to my reviewing from tomorrow on and I won't be given another set of stupidly large amounts of coursework at once.

Actually, I got no where.

I've been too busy. I wish I would've used some of summer to write reviews, instead of wasting valuable work time to write them. I don't expect to be writing 100+ a week again until Christmas, or at least until I get caught up in work.

I sorta know what you mean but lucky me i have had less work this summer so it gave me abit more online times...

I did go to disneyland the otherday while still getting in about 15 reviews for that day....

Good, on Saturday and Sunday together, I made 31 reviews. If I can, I'll try and make even more reviews on weekends and my scool holiday next week, so maybe more reviewing for me.

Seems like all the flash deletion had a pretty big effect on some peoples review amounts. The first time I see someone losing more then 10 reviews in one week, jetninjin even lost 20. Anyway, as you can see, I've done things a little different this time, putting the change before the alias instead of typing (+xx reviews) behind their names all the time. Saves me some time, I hope you people like it this way.

I'm surprised I even managed to get 3rd in most reviews since the update, I've barely been reviewing at all recently, I was expecting to be 5th or 6th. Although I did actually write more reviews than I thought I did.

100 is very low for me, on an avg i have done 250.... as for time, well i started reviewing when i signed up well sorta and ever since i have loved ng movies and games and just try and help the auther while enjoying the movie or game itself.....

Well I went on a small spree of doing a few reviews. To get be over where I was before I lost some of my reviews. I finally decided to go past kopas, I need to find a couple more authors to review so I can stay in front with out losing reiews again.
Got some time before I can get to the next spot, unless I get some tiem to do some mroe reviews.

Thanks, while i dont have story like reviews i do try and sum it up in a 3-5 lines, and try with as much content as i see on the flash, not great but ok for me....

I've really been shooting for length as of late. Although i may not move up many spots on the list, I feel that I am doing my duty as efficiently and effectively as possible. The point is not to increase a number, it is to provide insight into your thoughts about somebodies work.

I know I stress length a lot in nearly all my posts here, but i'm just trying to encourage others to do a better job.

Well, it's possible. But I prefer to analyze every aspect of the movie. I try to put as much work into my reviews as the author put into their movie, and I think they deserve the best. Of course, I leave many negative reviews too.

I just think many people in here are missing the point. It isn't about the statistic, it's about reviewing. Helping the author, or helping the viewer understand and interpret all aspects of the movie.

This problem is not only in reviewing, it's in basically every number recorded in your profile. Posts, # of flash, # of audio, B/P etc. I doubt i'll change anybodies mind, or they'll just agree with me and pretend as if they are trying to do their best to contribute. Regardless, I will always prefer to put in a solid effort.

I will not name anybody in particular, but i'd say at least 95% of people on NG abuse these privilege just to get ahead in the stats

Ok, well to each his own, maybe some do do it for stats, but if they are doing reviews for stats and writing 1 liners it will catch up to them down the road...

other stuff is easy b/p, posts and whatnot....

Review long or short (Not 1 liners) are fine in both aspects, sometimes when people not all people but but when people write book report reviews it almost seems like they are doing it for other reasons and not for the review itself...

anyways i couldnt tell you howmany times i have had this discussion in the past 3 or 4 years but it always seems to come up...

I guess what im trying to say is that long review are great, other review are just as great, the important thing is that we as a reviewer enjoy the movie we watch and if we can try and help, which can be done in long and short reviews....
