Even if so, why do you feel the need to post it on the front page? If it's for traffic, then you're just as bad as illwill is, looking for publicity more than anyhting else. I just watched the new flash again, and it's kinda ironic that foamy is blaming the reporters for the same thing he is doing.;)

I don't think anyone is arguing against the decision for the movie to be put on the front page anymore. It makes perfet sense and everybody benefits from it, and if people can't understand that they need to go off and think it over.
The point (mine at least) is that I don't think the movie would have passed judgement if it had been submitted by anyone other than IWP. Based on some of the movies that get blammed evey day, I don't think it's unreasonable to assume that the author would have been flamed to the ground and the movie blammed.
I certainly didn't come here to argue, but simply state my somewhat evident belief- that viewers, in this case, are voting on the author instead of the movie.

B's score was not high after being submitted it took years of mass voting and other's 0ing to get it to that score.

theres a 9/11 collection but there should be a disaster tribute section, the movie will go in the normal place for foamy rants though.

I don't think it's something the masses will get to excited about. It's just something you'd see on the news. Think of us as record producers. We've been looking through a lot of content for many years. We watch all kinds of stats. We know what will work and what won't. Some things we put on the front page to bring in traffic, while other things we put there because we think it is very well done and deserves more exposure, even if we know it won't bring in traffic.

You prove a good point there Wade, but:
*This is on current events
*The picture, sounds are creditted.
*Lets say you are record producers, why did I see 1.00 range movies on the front page before. Trying to drive your next CD to the bargain bin in FYE?
*There's as high of a chance of it failing as it does succeeding. Face it, some people who have their head in the ground will probably see Foamy and be like "Hurricane? what"? But after seeing it Foamy will just tell them that reporters are dumb and america will forget by friday. My movie (not only has more animation) has pictures so if your more....let's say "open minded" you might feel if not see the damages. The picture with the woman in the house with no roof, that's a example. Foamy could have said that, but a picture says a thousand words.

Alright, let's look at these two entries. I'm putting you in charge of bringing more traffic to Newgrounds. I want you to find a Hurricane Flash that you think will best bring traffic to the site and get a lot of views. You have to choose between Foamy's Hurricane Rant or this other entry with copyrighted AP pictures, text, and music. Which do you choose?

No, I know Foamy's would do a lot better... even if it a one frame piece. Just because of the author and content. The collection I mentioned was just because whenever a disaster happens a flash inevitably comes out or ten. A lot of users have talked about a "memorial" portal. Why not just give them a collection. Just to increase traffic and make it easier to find those kind of movies

Next scenerio, Foamy is already on the front page and you believe it will bring in a lot of traffic. You want to find other content to put on the front page that will bring in traffic, or is high quality and deserving of more exposure. Do you choose to put the 2nd hurricane entry up? Or keep looking?

Obviously you stick with Foamy... as I have been saying in this thread for quite a few pages. The new one just isn't rough enough to generate a good response. And the quality, I'm afraid to say is worse than foamy in some respect. Traffic on an internet site is way more important than quality. But something has to be popular to be useful on front page. Foamy just has enough popularity... I wouldn't leave it up long though. Even foamy fans are disapointed and I don't know how much traffic it will actually contribute.
