Well being a cutter, is not so simple.
People think if You cut Yourself it means that U crying for some help or Your are not accepted in society.
To understand this combine aspect of human nature, You need firs understand the existence, good and bad.
Firstly - there is no good, and bad, its just a words humanity come with to name things that are useful and not.
Pain - what is pain, is it bad?? Many of You say, that pain is bad. But what about birth??
Bringing new life to this world came with great pain, so pain bring good, coz You were born.
So in that case, pain is prelude to something good.
Then, acceptable pain is good, but not acceptable is bad... (hilarious, this dialectic, isn't it??)
We have darkness, and day light which is recognized commonly as a good - god, frig, cigarette...:D
Now, You need to think about yourself as a one, fully circle life line, one autonomic universe, that implode and from his ashes rebuilding something new. From cosmic dust of Your consciousness comes new ideas, great thoughts, wonderful flashes.
Our nature is just like that, combines from 2 opposite desires.
One is hunger to destruction - which is represent by mythology Tanatos, and second, desire to build, to life no matter the cost. This need is represent by mythology god Eros - (this is Freud words, not mine, so if it do not fit to U picture of world, complains to the guy).
Both ways, are equal, and both are needed/good (??!!!). Death, bring life, and circulation of it brings innovations to the world, evolution of mind and buddy. In our case, to single being, single universe.
I don't saying, that hanging yourself bring You great idea for new flash, but playing with death.
Almost all flashes on NG are with death in his plot - isn't it interesting? Slicing stick man do not represent really, some kind of masochistic desire of creator??? Ask Yourself!!
Just like Heraclit say, fire is engine of all being. This fire is that need of building and destroying.
And what about me, why I writing all this, and why this wonderful artistic flash touch me so deeply??
Because when I saw this flash, old love reminds about herself... :)
I use to hurt myself to, but that wasn't because I suffer from no acceptation.
That was because I feel like a god, I feel free, when You see like Your blood comes out wounds this is most pleasant view... and taste, little salt and metallic.
If You suffer more, You experience essence of life more.
Pain drives Your mind to higher level of consciousness, and from that point of view, You can feel like God looking down to earth....
