Hurricanes form in tropical water, it doesnt need to be unusually warm water.
... fucking moron... if anything the releasing of water out of icebergs would cool the seas just like in a glass of water.
I doupt the coldness would reach all the way to the area of katrina. But the cool water would cool the air and if the air somehow was able to travel to the area where katrina was formed, then that could aid it.
Earth has survived them before and it will again.

The releasing of icebergs into the sea would cool it?
Lets try a little experiement. Get a cup of ice fill it with water and jsut let it sit out int he heat.
Notice the rise in water level. Good class. Now lets take notice of the increase of temperature.. Pretty much global warming is pretty real man. I always thought we would nuke ourselves to death, but we may just caused a climate change, throught he shifting of currents int he atlantic -current. Which is a delicate balance between salt and fresh water, which may I add, we are adding more fresh water into the ocean.

Thats not true at all. If your going to make shit up you shouldn't call others dumbasses in the process.
... fucking moron... if anything the releasing of water out of icebergs would cool the seas just like in a glass of water.
Yeah, because thats how the ocean works, exactly. Nevermind that the water off Alaska is warm. Seriously, you shouldn't even consider arguing global warming is fake if your knowledge of earth science is limited to what you heard some guy on a morning talk show say.
Temperature shifts are natural for earth. Earth has survived them before and it will again. There has never been any direct proof that humans are the cause of global warming. In fact volcanoes spew out more of the dreaded polution that supposedly causes global warming than humans produce.
Again, your just quoting shit you heard from some jackass who knows nothing about science.
http://volcanology.geol.ucsb.edu/gas.htm
"Volcanoes contribute about 110 million tons of carbon dioxide per year while man's activities contribute about 10 billion tons per year."
But thats right, youre a scientist arent you, you know lots of sciency thingies and such. I'm sure your vast knowledge of how the earth REALLY works surpasses that of the entire scientific community. If not, it doesn't matter, because thier just stupid liberal fairies and you could take any one of them in a fistfight any day.
I'm tired of this shit.
It's understandable, being wrong sure must be tiring.
This is just the way the world works. I'm sure you have all heard of the great flood and noah. what you probably don't know is that it was based on actuall fact. At the time the water in the mediteranean sea had been dropping steadily due to evaporation. A land bridge was blocking any water from coming in anymore. When the bridge broke the mediteranean filled back up, flooding the area in a matter of months. This is just one of the things that water has done to our planet.
There have been millions of floods in our past, the difference is, NOW WE CAN BUILD WALLS. Theres on reason man should have to move because of nature, were supposed to have conquered the planet, not the other way around.
Lesson: SHIT HAPPENS
What you should take away from this: YOU CAN'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT
Of course you can't, not when idiots go around pretending they know a thing about science.

they use carbon
They take in CO2 during the day and combine it with sunlight to produce glucose (food). During the day and night they use oxygon to convert their food into energy. Just in case anyone's wondering her's the equation for both reactions.
6 CO2 + 6 H2O + Energy > C6H12O6 + 6 O2

nop.
ask your biology teacher
:-)
well, heres another thing: carbon + water=sugar.
or Co2 in air breathed in by tree + water in tree = sugar, that the tree likes.

globel warming isnt a true problem...i mean i live out in the desert and its actully cold this yeat....hell it snowed last winter for the first time...also the world balences ITSELF out it does not need our help...if globel warming is true and glaciers melt they cools down the currents and that cools down the rest of the world and after its very cold glaciers refreeze and everything is back to normal....and yes they will refreeze before a new ice age comes

Most of u are looking at what effect its having on northen hemephere. In australia our beaches are getting consumedd by the increaseing water levels. This dosnt seem like much of a problem but there are islands near us that could get total consumber by rising water

btw for those saying that Glacier melting isn't a problem. Its potentially going to cause lack of water to quite a few people at this rate.

I agree. Living down in New Zealand out weather is completely screwed Thanks to the world. If you havnt noticed we have, we have serious pollution issues with everyone driving all th dam time. ever heard of the ozone? Theres a massive hole above us atm. With pollution eating that up its not only the melting of the poles and drowning problem but its the solar winds, UV rays and xrays from space taht will fuck us up too. Imagine not being to walk out into the sun for fear of frying. If you cant be screwed buying an eco car or helping in sum other way, then bike ot school or work today. Mabye once a week. global warming is a big assed problem, if the ice caps melt and that crap, the golf stream will dissappear and britain will freeze (not literally but it'll be bloody cold!) and japan will sink! not that matters much, everyone knows the japanesse don't have souls.

japan will sink! not that matters much, everyone knows the japanesse don't have souls.
well lose all the weird toys, anoying comics and such.

Hi all,
I have a clear opinion in this case:
We humans we are the most powerfull animals in this planet and we have the power to control and "domesticate" the other species so the problem global warning and deforestation for example totally our FAULT caused by the bad use that we have with the nature and the natural resources. My other point is that the global warning IS a real big problem for the planet because of:
1) Elimination of forest in all the planet that never will be regenerated (that means much more C02 in the atmosphere which creates holes in the atmospheres which led enter in our planet more and more ultraviolet energy from the sun that apart from creating cancer on humans causes a relativily huge increase in temperature and in desertification)
2)Elimination of species that are in danger of extinction caused by the elimination of the forest that are their only home....
3)Little by little the global warning killing the forest and species and creating more and more deserts is breaking the aliment chain and with the time this is going to be a really serious problem for our supervivence.......
There is more and more consequences of this global warning like floods caused by huge rainings, inestibles climates with no rain or to much and ETC...

not to mention the burning skin and huge "people dying from thirt" ishness.

we COULD do something against that.
like plant new forest, make some stuff that blocks out the UV rays, etc.

supervivence?
you mean survival?

your right.
though it would be worse if we lost the moon.
