Anti-Depressents?

I want to know if antidepressents will help & what the downfalls of them are.

This really important cause my girlfriend doesnt want me to take em cause afraid im change, tho my best friend says it helped him.

Please tell me all you know bout it, dont send me links for info i need some user help

Anti-depressants are shit, they do fuck all because they just give you a slighty better feeling, they don't do anything to tackle why you need them, and you'll just end up getting addicted to them.

If you want to stop being depressed you need to figure out what the roots of your unhappiness are, not rely on some stupid pill that'll tell your brain what to feel.

Yeah, but usually people are too stupid to control themselves, and will live their lives without stepping up and taking control of their lives, so they must take the medication.

To truly fix whatever you have wrong, you need to look inside of yourself and find the problem and fix it.

You pretty much just said what I was about to say :( But just for the hell of it, I'll write something too.

I have friends who are on anti-depressants, they're never really that happy even when they take them, it just sort of slows down the depression and changes them into being a bit more loopy. The problem and solution resides in what might have caused this. If you can be honest with yourself and figure out what's wrong, you should be fine.

Hint: If you can't seem to figure it out, try changing your diet, potatoes and pasta and any food with similar complex carbohydrates will give you a great chemical output called serotonine, which helps fight depression. Outdoor excercising helps too, try takign up a sport or atletic hobby if you don't have one already.

Exactly, that's why taking the pills is a bad idea. Eventually they stop working, like any medication, and then you're truly fucked

Well, here's the thing with Anti-Depressents.

You take them, makes you feel slightly better. But you easily become very addicted. Once you take them away, you'll feel worse, since you body has become so addicted to them. You'll feel way more depressed than before the anti-depressents. Then you commit suicide.

Your body will automaticly process antidepressents as Prozac and traces of it will be found in your urine. The great rivers and lakes in USA are so poluted by these leftovers of antidepressents that the wild fish and water-plants are dying.

no..but some SSRI's (a calss of anti-depressants) make you have trouble with erections...(thats "getting a boner" for all you illiterates)
