I'm not dead, just been really busy with uni, my workload just got cut in half because I have to upload 3 assignments on one day and I have done that now. So, I noticed I got 25,000 Experience, and Bahamut changed his name... Wait what...

I still have uni, like programming assignment and two exams, then I'm done for summer.

Today is the birthday of Adolf Hitler. So I guess some dumbasses are "celebrating" it...

Yeah, I imagine that to be not so pleasant for you. 420 has bigger purposes than the birthday of some dick, though but after my events with 4/20, I can conclude that it's not my lucky number. I just spent most of the day fearing of going back home to face my parents. I knew from one little argument they would carry it over when they got to see me again. They did and it got uglier. I've been speaking to a local help centre about how I can move away from them.

So what's your backing up for depositing?
My wife's Smartphone and a great invention called "Tethering". ;)

Ah yes. I did use tethering when I was in London last week but didn't want to overuse it. I just kept to Twitter and Facebook.

Although, if life really did kick it up a bit by then and I just can't have the time for NG anymore then... yeah. :P
I always have 5 minutes time to deposit. It's not that hard. :P

Maybe it's easy to do but if I just don't feel like doing it anymore so be it. That won't happen just yet, though but it's something I might kick out of my system somewhere down the road.

Eh, fair play to that. Will you agree to only do that once, though?
Since your posts now are made under the name of "FromADistance", no I won't change that. I might call you "Bahamut" while posting out of habit, though.

I can see that happening.

Not necessarily Mega Flares but my new dragon persona can still breathe fire and fly around. He's kinda like the Bahamut you knew but new and better!
With shin new scales?

Shiny new scales? Why yes. Still a blue dragon, though but again, he's different to Bahamut. It's what I should have been on here all along.

Probably not the best of ideas but I can't bring myself to walk up to a girl at a bar and try and pull on the spot.
I cannot do that as well. But I realized that I was more confident around girls than before. And that surely helped.

I suppose online communication doesn't mean all that much but I'm at least stepping it up a bit. I suppose all the time I spent on NG hasn't done any favours considering the amount of bullshitters you get on here. When I look at it now, 95% of my time is spent on social media and 5% is either Newgrounds or other sites.

I'll admit that looking back at everything now I kinda want to see if we can be friends again but I need to fight against that.
After all you told here, I advise you to not come in contact with her again any time soon.

Not a single person has told me I did wrong for taking her off my contacts everywhere. Many people on my Facebook felt that she wasn't the ideal one for me and a lot agreed that she has a lot of issues which is true. She ruins a lot of her own friendships because of her actions.

The fire brigade sketch was what really put me off.
Yeah, that wasn't funny.

I agree (lol us two agreeing with each other). It's one sketch I'll gladly skip over but the majority of everything else, I like. I think by season 1 alone I was all like "Man, if it's this awesome here, I wonder what the rest will be like." I suppose if I go through it all again, I can easily higher it up to my favourite shows of all time but I don't think anything will top Father Ted for me. Flawless from start to finish.

I'm not dead certain yet but out of all the Pythons, I enjoy Cleese the most.
He sure has a way of being funny and looking dead serious at the same time. Palin is great, too.

That's what I like about Cleese. I also like how he can adapt to the more evil characters in the sketches and do damn well with it. Yes, Palin is another great one but I think if I had a second favourite, it would be Chapman.

True, it does have some part on the site but I still have a right to change name if I so desire.
If it were up to me, nobody could change their name. :P

That would suck. What if I was named Xxdarkmaster666xX?

Hah, anyone who has ever said "When hell freezes over" now have to do those deals. Now THAT would be hilarious. Considering I never asked out girls I've not had to deal with that like you. However, lack of courage of doing that hasn't looked good on me. Well, there were times when I did have a girl in mind but it was already too late. I wanted to go slow on it but at the same time it allowed others to get in before me. In any case I'm still going to pace it out and if I find the one who I think is the one I'll see about taking the courage to ask her out. It's just not going to happen out of magic when one girl sees me and immediately falls for me.

There are plenty of reasons why I've had very little luck with girls but at least I'm at the more suitable age to be looking for a serious relationship. I feel around the age of 20 is the best time to start looking for such relationship but I won't argue that anyone who get together at a younger age than that can turn out for the better. Two of my best friends got together at the age of 14 and they've been married for 18 months, they both work and have their own house. Those two are definitely something special.

Even though at this point I can no longer understand what my ex is doing with herself. I swear, her personality changes every so often and it's hard to even keep up with what she wants to do in life. She could have had a better focus on her life and stuck to it with me. I would have accepted her vows but too late for that now. I tried helping her out whenever possible but it was all thrown back at me so I don't see why I should accept her help now when she couldn't listen to me back then. She's ruined me and I don't know if I even want to be friends with her anymore.
Step back and be there for her if she needs someone to talk to. You can't meddle with everything that they do. Like with me and the issues that Bex has had since we split. It hurts to see her do some stuff to herself, but I can no longer grab her by the lapels and tell her to sort her life out.

I don't think talking to her is something that will happen now. The last straw for her was when I read a post of hers that stated how she missed her previous boyfriend prior to me and has interest in a new guy. When she doesn't show any feelings for me, I've got no intentions to talk to her. Maybe she'll talk to me at a later point whether it be actually seeing her in person or she'll attempt to text me again. Either way, I'm gonna keep away from her for a good while.

I almost wish I was - I think I've walked about 20-25 miles in 3 days, chasing projects from one warehouse / workshop / open space to another. Decided not to go for a run on Monday and so far, that has been the single best decision of 2013!

Had 20 copies of my CV for town yesterday. They all flew off within a day and I was only able to wander around half of the city centre of Liverpool because I didn't have enough CVs with me. Not only that, I've been called in for an interview on Monday which was a job I applied to online so thankfully some are giving me interviews now. It's been.... AGES since the last interview. Still, the last day or two I feel energetic. Still a lot more to do for job hunting but I'll make a stronger attempt now.

Indeed. It's a matter of playing a game of risk. You just gotta try it sometime and make some daring moves. I'll see how things go with this new girl that I have my eye on. Granted, it's only messaging each other on Tumblr but we follow each other on there and conversations have been ongoing for a few days. It's not like after the first reply I didn't hear back since, although I could do with spicing up the conversation a bit. I like how we're talking a lot about abroad trips but the original purpose of talking to her was for metal. ;D

I've never met anyone who got together that young. I know that my best friend and his wife got together when they were around 20 and have been together for 10 years now. Married for almost 4 years, too.

Like I said, there is something special between them two so it worked out great for them. I still think around the age of 20 is a good time, although the youngest I'll date anyone is 18 just to be on the safe side and I'll keep year difference within 5 years younger/older than me. Then again, I'll be 23 in July so 18 will be the youngest I'll consider either way.

Just let it go, then. Try not to think about it and get on with life.

It can be difficult to entirely forget about her. I think you can understand why it'll be a long time until there's a day when not once do I think of her. Hopefully life turns around soon enough and I'll have new things to keep me occupied. You know, like working full-time or finding a new partner. Not to worry, I can never rush into a new relationship considering what I've told you here. I'm really not the guy who could easily jump from one to another like she did. Again, I know so few girls who aren't taken. However, I am seeing about reaching out somewhere on the internet.

You can start it?
I could, but I won't.

Ah well, your loss.

I just spent most of the day fearing of going back home to face my parents. I knew from one little argument they would carry it over when they got to see me again. They did and it got uglier. I've been speaking to a local help centre about how I can move away from them.
That really doesn't sound too pleasant. I hope you can move out and live on your own soon. :/

Yeah, I really need to do something about it. It might have settled down now but the next time we get in an argument it could be uglier than what happened last weekend and a lot more went on than what I've said. I hope the council will be reasonable with me and accept my problems and what may happen if I am not able to move out at any time.

Maybe it's easy to do but if I just don't feel like doing it anymore so be it. That won't happen just yet, though but it's something I might kick out of my system somewhere down the road.
I THINK I might have missed another deposit earlier this week... but you are right, I don't care as much about depositing as I used to, so I won't even bother checking if I missed the deposit or not.

At this point I wouldn't be surprised if I have missed a deposit somewhere. Hell, I didn't even ask anyone to cover my deposits when I went away in London and the flat was without internet! The phone did help me a lot for those few days. It'll be entirely different if I was away outside of the UK but if I happen to be with my love partner on our own break, I can easily miss some deposits then. That's still a bit of a way off but we'll see what new hopes will do for me.

Shiny new scales? Why yes. Still a blue dragon, though but again, he's different to Bahamut. It's what I should have been on here all along.
Nice.

Yep, I quite like the new character. Moving away from the Final Fantasy stigma is good. I just feel put off by the series considering their modern bullshit. I don't hate it by all means but I'm not as proud of the series as I once was.

I don't know how much time I spent here, but I can say for sure that 0% of my time is spent on social media. ^^

No Twitter nor Facebook then. Fairplay.

That's what I like about Cleese. I also like how he can adapt to the more evil characters in the sketches and do damn well with it. Yes, Palin is another great one but I think if I had a second favourite, it would be Chapman.
Yeah, he's great as well. Come to think of it, I cannot think of one Python who isn't great. ;)

You're right there. Cleese was the star on Fawlty Towers as well so I feel I see him a lot around.

That would suck. What if I was named Xxdarkmaster666xX?
Then you would have to stick with it for all eternity and suffer like you deserved it.

And all because I was too young at the time? No, that wasn't ever my name but it's an example of a horrendous name. I only wish Last.fm will eventually implement namechanging, even if they'll have a small fee to do that. Hey, that's one way for them to get money so they should go ahead and do it!

I'm still managing to get a decent pace, even though work is putting the squeeze on. Talking of which, I must be off.

Yeah, just keep at it and you should find something soon. But it's hard to keep track of where you already applied for a job, heh.
Also, it's important not to get disappointed and stop applying for jobs if you don't find anything in the first few weeks. Persistence is the key!

I haven't played any FF since X-2. I do own XII, but it's just a matter of time... plus, there are so many other games in the way, haha.

Never liked Fawlty Towers. Maybe it was because of the shitty advertising the TV station had. It really put me off and made me not want to watch the series.

I should really not bother to congratulate people who can't even be bothered to say their achievement in full. Seriously, a "k" in lieu of three zeroes isn't much, but they don't even say something about passing such a milestone. *sigh*
Sorry. I was about to head out the door and wanted to quickly post something so I didn't forget. I know it was still lazy, but I'll definitely be more thrilled about 50,000

Yeah, you'd better be :P

I've missed achievements before, but come back a day or two later to say something more about it. Things like that don't hurt.

Sometimes it requires a leap of faith. I have taken that leap and have been both rewarded and rebuked for it. That's life.
Indeed. It's a matter of playing a game of risk.

I was never very good at Risk - my opponents always seemed to have superior tactics and I ended up confined to Australia...

I like how we're talking a lot about abroad trips but the original purpose of talking to her was for metal. ;D

See, that seems to be a good thing that you've started. Just don't try to run before you're walking.

Try telling me that - I had almost 5 years with Bex and she is still a part of my life. She tried to invite herself to my 30th birthday party and only stopped when I said "you're not invited because my best friend hates you." I'd never planned to ask her to it anyway, as we're not friends like that any more.

You can start it?
I could, but I won't.
Ah well, your loss.

My gain - I don't have to pay for it.

Yeah, I'll soon be all like "Uhh yeah, I recall applying to you." The agencies I never remember where I even found them from, particularly that one for the hospital. Apply to them not remembering where I heard them, get a job from them five months later.

Also, it's important not to get disappointed and stop applying for jobs if you don't find anything in the first few weeks. Persistence is the key!

I've been job searching for YEARS so a few weeks is really nothing. I'd like to see that I get a permanent job sometime this year.

Yep, I quite like the new character. Moving away from the Final Fantasy stigma is good. I just feel put off by the series considering their modern bullshit. I don't hate it by all means but I'm not as proud of the series as I once was.

I've NEVER played Risk. Playing life risks, though, I've done that many times.

Yep, the general agreement with everyone I've spoken to about it is to not rush it but go for it when the time's right. It's simple, really but the real question is when to make the move. Considering her studies I'll see sometime in the Summer holidays.

It can be difficult to entirely forget about her. I think you can understand why it'll be a long time until there's a day when not once do I think of her. Hopefully life turns around soon enough and I'll have new things to keep me occupied. You know, like working full-time or finding a new partner. I'd never planned to ask her to it anyway, as we're not friends like that any more.

It's not even been a year since I knew my ex. I first heard her name around this time last year but it wasn't until August when I actually met her. As time progressed she became one of my best friends and eventually, the relationship but now it's all staying away from each other. At least it wasn't a few years down the drain for me since the last thing I need in my life is wasting even more time.

The whole thing about Bex inviting herself to your 30th kinda reminds me of the one who I was trying to date back in 2009. She did invite herself to my 19th birthday party but she couldn't make it in the end. A week later she expressed her love to me but that all went within six weeks. Also, generally I wouldn't give out the names of my ex like how Bex has been established here. Although, if you were on Facebook you could easily find out her name but you could also find out the name of my parents and such. Infact, anyone who has me friended on there can do just that...

Ah well, your loss.
My gain - I don't have to pay for it.

But it's free!

On the 28th of April 2004, I created this account. Some nine years later, I stand before you, having accomplished a lot on this website.

The 10th year shows signs of me slowing down, yet I would still like to call this place home, just in a different capacity, I suppose. I have an update news post to make and I will do that - in the meantime, please feel free to read my latest news post if you haven't.

I guess that's just me moving on and getting life sorted...

9th NG Berfday!
