Listening to:

Helloween - Straight Out of Hell. Well, sort of. It's just listening to samples which all sound very good so far.

Body Count - Body Count (hell yeah, a self titled debut album! ;) Sadly, "Copkiller" isn't on this version of the album)

I've been on the edge about getting this album. I only listened to one song from it due to knowing Ice T is in this and he made an appearance on a Black Sabbath album.

Interesting point of view. I say, they are always lazy. :P

Never lazy, just the beginning.

If I was to live in Germany, then sure.
Hm, you are listening to music with german titles... Well, that's already a start, isn't it? ^^

Finsterforst are a really good band. It's like throwing Moonsorrow, Equilibrium and Finntroll in a blender and this becomes the outcome.

Yeah, but I still can't help but be excited for it. I mean, Black Sabbath is legendary -if they're putting out new music, I'll be more than happy to listen. (Even if it doesn't compare to the old stuff...)

There's always something about bands going so long without an album that I don't like. Guns N' Roses are the perfect example but on the other hand, you get Angel Witch who last year released their first album in 26 fucking years and it turned out great. I don't know how much Angel Witch you know but considering they seem to have that one hit wonder syndrome, this song is magnificent.

And I thought it was hell in 2008. It didn't look so bad then. Now it's five years on and we're still in hell. I guess hell is eternal.
I was doing pretty good in 2008, hell I was employed!

I was employed two years later. That job I had I was getting so much money that I couldn't even spend it all. Haha, where did that go? It's been downhill after it changed.

Not far off. Sorry to bring that fact to you.
Tell me how it is, Bahamut! It just hardens my resolve to keep depositing! :P

Then you better keep it up and never leave us again! >:D

I worked at the place I was at for around 3 1/2 years. The customer that I filled orders for (I did wholesale selection for a perishable food warehouse) went out of business -that was pretty much the beginning of the end for me there.

Well, if you haven't listened to this album in the 90's, then this album might not be for you. I think most of the praise the album gets is from people who listened to this when they where teenagers... that's not to say that "Body Count" is a bad album, but when you listen to this, you really can hear that it was written and produced in the 90's, heh.

On the other hand, the lyrics actually make sense. Most critics say the lyrics are weak and that Ice-T would only sing "motherfucker this" and "motherfucker that". I always wondered if people who say stuff like that really listened to the whole album. How can anyone say 'The Winner Loses' or 'MommaâEUTMs Gotta Die Tonight' don't have serious lyrics?

Anyway, from todays point of view, I would rate "Body Count" 6 out of 10, the most. With a huge nostalgia bonus, I rate this album 8 out of 10. However, if you get a Body Count record, you might want to try out Born Dead instead. I always liked that one better.

This is so, so true. When Queen were just starting up, their drummer Roger Taylor was told to 'stop breaking Drumsticks' because they couldn't afford it. Now that's doing it tough.

I'm back home now. Snow is much less extreme than it is in London which I am thankful for as I already had to change plans to get back from London; I didn't need to have shit disrupted in Liverpool/Wirral to get back so thankfully it was a breeze there. I've already finished the recap for the London meet and while I wanted some like Coop and Gagsy to have been there, I still enjoyed myself a lot. It's a damn shame we probably won't see another meet until next year but at least we all enjoyed ourselves while it lasted.

Listening to:

Mike Oldfield - Platinum

Angel Witch -Angel Witch (album)

At 1/20/13 06:39 PM, Bahamut wrote: I take it you were at least familiar with the song Angel Witch beforehand, though.

Yeah, though I've not listened to that album in its entirety. I've got it brought up on youtube as I type this reply. Sorceress is a good tune -the (rhythm) guitar has a certain...Iommi-like charm to it.

I only worked at a school nearby. The pay was quite generous but it's hard to complain. Nothing can quite beat the hospital job, though. I was getting paid roughly a tenner an hour.

*Googles tenner* (English slang totally escapes me, sorry.) So, were you working full-time or part? I honestly wouldn't mind making that money at even a part-time job, at this point and I was making $16.50 at my old job, with a modest amount of OT on the side, too.

And providing you keep to the one list, hopefully it'll stay fresher for you. For me I felt it was about time I let one of the stats lists go and make it a bit easier on myself.

I honestly miss being a list updater, so hopefully I can grasp this Hexalist business quickly -not just for my own sake, but for everyone who looks forward to those updates.
As far as lightening the load goes, I'd say you've earned the right to do what ever the hell you want at this point. :P

Yeah, it's pretty much that. At least with the shitblade debate it was mandatory to end after the 2012 redesign.

The shitblade dueling with the fluffy axe is going to be the icon for level 60 mods -didn't you know? It's still in the design phase now, but should be released when Bahamut reaches level 60.

lol

Yeah, Enter Sandman is one of those songs that was just overplayed to death and not at all a surprise to see on a Karaoke machine.

Sounds like you've been on fire lately. We were 20 ranks apart but now it's widening up to 23. iWalker is miles away for me but I imagine I'll get to him in a year's time. He'll be a close competition for when I'm in the top 100.

*Googles tenner* (English slang totally escapes me, sorry.) So, were you working full-time or part? I honestly wouldn't mind making that money at even a part-time job, at this point and I was making $16.50 at my old job, with a modest amount of OT on the side, too.

It was full-time. I only said tenner because I cannot use the pound sign without the site screwing it up for me. DAMN YOU NEWGROUNDS!

As far as lightening the load goes, I'd say you've earned the right to do what ever the hell you want at this point*. :P

But yeah, I'm on my ninth year of browsing on this site and things can wear out after a while. However, your enthusiasm to the site kicks back when you attend a meet and talk to all the great contributors who are part of the community in some way. I think things like that keep the interest of the place.

I suppose we'll be ready for another redesign then. Makes sense to me. ;)

lol
I would have thrown Metallica in the mix except the only song of theirs they had was Enter Sandman. Shame, really since on the Sunfly Karaoke website they list the actual good songs like One, Battery and Master of Puppets.
Yeah, Enter Sandman is one of those songs that was just overplayed to death and not at all a surprise to see on a Karaoke machine.

To be fair, there's a lot of overplayed songs found on the karaoke list but one song I surprisingly didn't find on there was Gangnam Style. Sure, the lyrics are mostly foreign but the song's still catchy enough to be everywhere.

Speaking of songs, here's myself on stage:
Your hair is epic. ;D

I'll have to use it as a Facebook display picture. For now, I just have myself with Rimmer resentful reaction.

It started snowing here again. *Ugh*

Ah yes, the nostalgia. I can't argue with that as I can be a complete nostalgiatard at times but whatever is nostalgic to someone from years back can be something that looks outdated to another.

This is exactly what I was trying to say, but much better phrased than I did.

Never lazy, just the beginning.
I see, this is just another topic we can not reach an agreement on.

Yeah, how did they dare to remove the awesomeblade? They took our best topic away from us!

Finsterforst are a really good band. It's like throwing Moonsorrow, Equilibrium and Finntroll in a blender and this becomes the outcome.
But you have to extract that finntroll-acoustic-album first.
You should know what aspect of Finntroll I'm talking about.

Of course.
Maybe you should check out Eisregen as well, heh.

Speaking of songs, here's myself on stage:

Thankfully no more snow here for now.

Didn't think I was that good at phrasing things. :P

We still have Manowar to talk about.

I can add that to the list.

It's gotta be rough, before you start making The Big Money. :P
True, but at some stage, you've got to Roll the Bones.
This is so, so true. When Queen were just starting up, their drummer Roger Taylor was told to 'stop breaking Drumsticks' because they couldn't afford it. Now that's doing it tough.

And we were just playing puns with Rush song titles :P

FUCK YOU SNOOOOOOOOW!

Nah, I got some stuff done.

It's cleared up already. Although, my voice still needs to recover but that shouldn't be a problem. I just better make sure I avoid high pitched vocals for karaoke.
I would have done that - I'd even come up with a few tracks that I was hopefully going to try...
I had the chance to do FOUR that night. They were:

Deep Purple - Highway Star
Genesis - Land of Confusion
Faith No More - Epic
Ozzy Osbourne - Crazy Train

The only one out of them that I'd have done would have been Faith No More... maybe Crazy Train, but I'd have gone for some others first.

I would have thrown Metallica in the mix except the only song of theirs they had was Enter Sandman. Shame, really since on the Sunfly Karaoke website they list the actual good songs like One, Battery and Master of Puppets. Could you imagine me taking the whole place by storm with Master of Puppets?

Having had a quick look at their website, I'd have had to give The Trooper a shot. I need a red jacket and a Union Flag from somewhere...

Also, you look depressed / shitfaced...

Two Lady's an hour? Not bad, I'm looking forward to when I ear a Commodore an hour ;)

Just to confuse you, by throwing even more obscure slang in there.
