No, it's a good attitude to have. I stay away from all drugs, save some OTC stuff like aspirin, cold meds and such, when I really feel like I need it.

Then you should see how they are on a daily basis. The goddamn baby is ALWAYS crying. I may end up calling on their door to get them to quiet him/her up just as what the whore of a mother did to me years back. You know, getting a taste of your own medicine.

Eh, just the thought of having a crying baby within earshot of my house makes me angry. I'm not a fan of children, by the way. :D

Yeah, it was like a month after I graduated high school. I spent much of my summers before that picking basil and getting paid by the pound. (It was actually decent money, for a teenager, though it was hard on your back.)

If only for Neil Peart.

And Geddy Lee. :P

Burton was awesome. One of the greatest dead rock stars, much like Keith Moon.

My favorite bassist, along with Geddy Lee and Geezer Butler. Steve Harris also blows me away with his quick fingers.

Yeah, I can trust cold meds/paracetamol but that's about it. If what I take from the doctors don't even help with any of my problems, then what's even the damn point of taking them?

I try and be tolerant because we do have a 3 year old cousin who can be loud and obnoxious. Not only that, what if I had a child? Mind you, I don't even have a relationship so having a child is far off for me but it's still a point. In that potential future, I have to understand children better.

Been a busy week, apart from stressing about an assignment which I have submitted and no louder stressing about, I passed an exam I had last year, my friend sold me his PS3 for 50 pounds (I haven't played it yet, hur no games but really I have Demon's Souls on the way), I brought an Ocarina and it came yesterday, it's much harder than it looks and we're getting a dog today.

Congrats to:

Good question. There's a girl I know who was put on ritalin as a kid and her mom has since allowed the addition of several other meds since. It's to the point now where she needs them just to function normally in pretty much every way -not to mention she's underweight because the shit she's on suppresses appetite. Watching that kind of thing develop over the years has instilled in me a dislike for prescription drugs.

Jesus. That goes to show what bad it can do to a human being. I try to not take allergy tablets all the time just to settle eczema down. If it feels like I won't get comfortable shortly, then it's necessary but I can go a few weeks without the need to take any.

Classic record. Probably one of the best produced albums ever. The mixing of everything is simply spot on.

I always liked Deliverance better. Even though, you cannot really say "Deliverance is better than Blackwater Park" or vice versa. Both are just great.

I made a better attempt now and it worked.
That's good to hear. It should be easier to adjust your sleeping times a bit more towards "normal sleeping times" now.
Yeah, I woke up at 11:30AM today. Still fine and maybe if I'm wearing myself out with work around the house, it'll be another easy night.

You only have a sleeping problem when you are tired as hell but you simply cannot fall asleep. I had that a few years ago, where I simply couldn't sleep for about 3 days. I mean, I maybe dozed off every now and then, but "a good nights sleep" is something completly different. Luckily I could sleep on the 4th day.

Who knows, but they should still have their own show. Fuck going to Download just for one band.
Yeah, attending a whole festival for just one band isn't that great.
Especially when Download tend to have terrible bands on. It's bad enough Maiden have shit choices for support act for their live shows.

Most support bands just suck ass.

You'd have to get to Germany via France if you want to go by train, as far as I know. Planes are a much faster way to get here. ;)
Not much of a surprise there. I'm more comfortable with trains than I am with planes. And besides, trains should be cheaper than planes.

I don't know if trains are really that much cheaper. But I do know that planes are just way faster.

I watched that yesterday. Not bad, but I don't know... it's nothing too great either. Too much action and too little story.

The only reason I say never is that No-one could replace Freddie Mercury, like no-one could replace Michael Jackson. Sure, the music will be good, but it's not the same without them.

Wasn't there a show once where they had Freddy on a big screen (various tapes from their live shows) and the rest of the band live on stage? Or maybe I'm just mixing that up with some other band.

Also, I never was a fan of MJ. Especially in his later days he was just annoying.

I've seen it twice, but I meant playing Lord of the Rings Online. Getting my RP fix.

They did put that up at the Olympics, I believe. It's not the same, like War of the Worlds with the hologram of Richard Burton

Also, I never was a fan of MJ. Especially in his later days he was just annoying.

The first album I ever purchased was Bad. I may not have agreed with some of the aspects of his personal life, but his singing was fantastic.

MGS4 is an obvious one. God of War if you're into it? I'm not but surely it's a title to pick up if you're into it. I could do with dusting off my PS3 a bit and play some more games on it.

Blackwater Park did give them the recognition they needed and they celebrated their 20th anniversary with this record for a very good reason.

I don't know if trains are really that much cheaper. But I do know that planes are just way faster.

Eh, you have to book TWO journeys just to get to Germany from here by train. Well, there's a matter of getting to London by train first. :P Shame it can't be more like National Rail where it acknowledges multiple changes along the journey. Thankfully this isn't something I need to worry about for the time being. Unless it becomes a planned family holiday, I'll only go to Germany for either live shows or if it so happens a relationship with someone will be there but that idea is highly unlikely.

Blackwater Park did give them the recognition they needed and they celebrated their 20th anniversary with this record for a very good reason.

Yes, but the song "Deliverance" contains one of my favorite drum parts ever. Every time I listen to it, I think "how on earth can there exist people, that DON'T go crazy when they hear this?!"

Yeah, I woke up at 11:30AM today. Still fine and maybe if I'm wearing myself out with work around the house, it'll be another easy night.
You only have a sleeping problem when you are tired as hell but you simply cannot fall asleep.
Actually, that sums me up.

Oh, okay. Well, hopefully it will sort itself out. If it doesn't, then you might seek medical treatment for it after all. :/

Especially when Download tend to have terrible bands on. It's bad enough Maiden have shit choices for support act for their live shows.
Most support bands just suck ass.
At least it's not a whole day waiting for the damn band.

But things tend to go wrong on festivals. Rain storms or other diffculties... Blind Guardian had to finish their show early on W:O:A 2002 because of a storm warning. No storm came, but I guess it's better to be safe than sorry. I think there where some deaths because of a storm at some other festival earlier that year, but I can't seem to find anything about that.

Not much of a surprise there. I'm more comfortable with trains than I am with planes. And besides, trains should be cheaper than planes.
I don't know if trains are really that much cheaper. But I do know that planes are just way faster.
Eh, you have to book TWO journeys just to get to Germany from here by train.

Well, that's what you get for living on an island. :P

I watched that yesterday. Not bad, but I don't know... it's nothing too great either. Too much action and too little story.
I've seen it twice, but I meant playing Lord of the Rings Online. Getting my RP fix.

I see.

They did put that up at the Olympics, I believe. It's not the same, like War of the Worlds with the hologram of Richard Burton

Nah, I was thinking of some even that took place years ago. Actually, I'm pretty sure it was Queen.

Also, I never was a fan of MJ. Especially in his later days he was just annoying.
The first album I ever purchased was Bad. I may not have agreed with some of the aspects of his personal life, but his singing was fantastic.

Well, he did have his moments. "Thriller" is awesome (not only because of the video) and "Billy Jean" is good as well.

How is Tony Iommi doing these days? I heard he was sick, but haven't heard any news since...

He has made a great recovery. His illness was discovered soon enough and it's helped for the whole band to do regular check ups. This has been mandatory ever since the death of Dio.

One thing for sure, neither of us will consider having kids within the next five years. Next ten years on the other hand, depends how your life is at that point.
Yeah, I just have this idea that I don't want kids in my 20's. I still feel like a kid myself a lot of the time, not to mention I'm not even close financially speaking.

Yeah, it's those two factors. This is why sometime in this decade I'd like to build up my finance.

You shouldn't even have to worry if he just signs up now.
Sometimes I wonder, when I see these users from '08 and '09 with more exp. than me. :P

The EXP update can show you that easily. That's a likely case since NewsReporter is an 07 user and he's level 42.

Exactly what I was trying to say when I complained about bands self-titleing their first albums or calling their live albums "Destroying Wacken" etc. :P

At least self-titled albums are a tradition. Calling one album simply 13 after not recording an album in fucking ages is just unexciting.

Because people lack taste in music, that's why.

Actually, that sums me up.
Oh, okay. Well, hopefully it will sort itself out. If it doesn't, then you might seek medical treatment for it after all. :/

Medical treatment? Fuck that, I've tried that before and it's not helped me at all.

Eh, you have to book TWO journeys just to get to Germany from here by train.

Indeed, this is what I get for living in a craphole.

Well that sucks. HMV have gone into administration and I had a voucher waiting for when I'll go to Oxford Street in a few days time. Surely if anything is going to hell here, at least the shops will be open for this week so I'll make the most of it. If HMV does go down the tubes, then I'm pretty much done with high street shops for life.

I'll still listen to it but I'm really sceptical at this point.

At least self-titled albums are a tradition. Calling one album simply 13 after not recording an album in fucking ages is just unexciting.

No, self-titling the debut album is just lack of creativity. Also, I doubt that Black Sabbath '13' will be as good as the other album, that comes to my mind: 13, lol.

Blackwater Park did give them the recognition they needed and they celebrated their 20th anniversary with this record for a very good reason.

Exactly, so I definitely didn't congratulate him. ;)

I think that the fact that they have been in business for 44 years and have had a sum total of five members. I mean, Maiden currently has six.
I know they had a drummer before Peart; who was the 5th, another guitarist, I assume?

Jeff Jones was a founding member, along with Alex Lifeson and John Rutsey. He was a bassist and their vocalist.
