Fear of the Dark will also be hard to take out since it was even played at the Somewhere Back in Time shows and that setlist was to cover 80s Maiden.
Personally, I feel that if you take out Hallowed be thy name, you need to replace it with Childhood's end.
To tell you the truth, I wouldn't be surprised if Childhood's End was never played at a Maiden show ever again. Most of Fear of the Dark tends to be discarded by most fans so they're not really songs they'll want to play.

That's their loss. I'll get over it, I suppose.

You can't play Mariner and When the Wild Wind Blows on the same set, as they're the long epic ones that they have. I'd also substitute Run to the Hills for Flight of Icarus - their first chart hit after I was born.
They should have played Flight of Icarus at their Somewhere Back in Time shows.

I agree. I'll just stick to teaching my niece to sing it and throw the horns.

I see what you mean. Still, I've put my name down for the pre-release. Thankfully not everyone knows all the cards in the set and will pretty much be on equal ground to me. What I might want to do is have a practice game next week prior to the pre-release just to get myself warmed up.
Fair enough - I still play, but nowhere near the tournament level that I played at.
If I do get in gear, I'll see what I can do at bigger tournaments. Magic's meta should be interesting considering the diverse decktypes that can be used and can prove to be very powerful.

Ah, so you're getting really serious with this, then?

Today is the first cricket game of the Saturday season, where I'll be playing (instead of scoring) for the 2nd XI, against Pershore 2nd XI. Pershore have just come down from Div 1, while we've just gone up from Div 3. Talk about a baptism of fire!

Now to make sure that the book looks good when I'm not playing.

I guess there are still unopened booster packs out there. But instead of focusing on older Editions you should just buy packs from newer editions.
Obviously. The only old cards I'll try and get are those that are for my dragon/drake collection. I was considering collecting Wurms but some of them looked like giant bugs rather than the heads of a dragon. :P

You should consider a Goblin collection instead. ;)

I actually think YouTube is the better option for finding new bands now. Soundcloud doesn't do a bad job, though.

Yeah, Cait Sith doesn't count at all. It's hard to take Moogles as serious main characters. What would you think if they had started using Tonberries and Cactuars as playable characters?

Indeed. Cait Sith seemed to me like one of the most interesting characters, but he only plays a role at one part of the game and for the rest he just stays at the background.

I know Cactuar and Tonberry were a summons in Final Fantasy VIII, but it would be interesting seeing one as a playable character for once. Or they could at least make it so that one joins you as a guest for some time.

I'm watching the boss battle on Youtube right now. I don't know what the plot is like, but I have to say that he does look really weird. Like ... 2 dimensional and he has a massive sword underneath him? Wtf?
Depends which boss you're talking about. Either way, Barthandelus was one that spoke a lot of bullshit from his arse.

Nope that wasn't the one I was talking about. This one had a massive sword for a body.

Definitely yes! Especially the food is nice, except for the Shark Fin Soup that I saw at one point, of course. But you have to be carefuly, sometimes the food is so damn spicy that you can't even imagine it. I like to eat spicy food, but once I couldn't finish my meal... should've bought something to drink as well, haha.

Hmm I'm not such a big fan of spicy food because the spices can really dominate over any other flavours a dish might have.

Actually, it's "Bom-chacka wow-wow", but I get your point.

And now to wonder when I can creep up on him. I've been waiting to pass him for a looooong time now.

I'm not all that far behind 96th either, relatively speaking.

So right now we're only 20 ranks apart. Just shows how much slower it's getting now. I'm still fighting my way to the top 100.

Um... I'm not a member.

In that case, I don't have to worry. I had one but it's only yearly subscription.

Do you have any game shops that cover Magic and such very well with regular events?
Yes, ManaLeak in Worcester is probably the best one by me.

Uhh, it's in a Lifestyle Express store? What the hell?

BTW, full list for Avacyn Restored is up and all I can say is my head will be spinning at the pre-release.

Indeed. Cait Sith seemed to me like one of the most interesting characters, but he only plays a role at one part of the game and for the rest he just stays at the background.

And in battle, he's just a gimmick gambler. There is the odd one move you might be lucky to get which can give you instant win but it's best taking normal methods.

I know Cactuar and Tonberry were a summons in Final Fantasy VIII, but it would be interesting seeing one as a playable character for once. Or they could at least make it so that one joins you as a guest for some time.

They could but chances are they'd fuck it up a lot in this modern age.

Depends which boss you're talking about. Either way, Barthandelus was one that spoke a lot of bullshit from his arse.
Nope that wasn't the one I was talking about. This one had a massive sword for a body.

You do realise I'm not going to remember these characters, right?

Yeah, I just noticed I passed the 23k mark, and since I was posting anway, I just included it. :P
Ah well, a little bonus, I suppose. What's your estimate to reaching 25k medal points? Mind you, I need to catch up on this.

My estimate? I don't have one. I don't play medal games too often, so I haven't set any goals regarding medals or medal points.

I'm glad MySpace died out. They really made viewing userpages horribly unpleasant with custom layouts. At least Facebook looks cleaner with default layout for everyone.
MySpace was good to check out bands, but the new player doesn't work for me (tried it with Opera and Firefox. Both wouldn't work).
I actually think YouTube is the better option for finding new bands now. Soundcloud doesn't do a bad job, though.

Yes, YouTube COULD be a good place if I could listen to the damn music. But all I get is the "this isn't available in your country because we are fucking pussies" error message. And I don't have the patience to try out if any proxy server might work.

You could have seen me but then I got a job, lol.
But would you have shown me your real self and not just your human disguise?
Just my human disguise. Can't have my true appearance shown in public.

So even if you smilied I still wouldn't have seen a dragon smiling.

No, I'm going with a dragon/drake collection. I'll find most of them on eBay, unless it's some vintage card that was only ever released in the alpha sets.
Goblins are much better.
Doesn't matter, I collect dragons, dammit!

Okay.

That goes for any other flavour as well. And I like spicy food. ^^
