Nothing sad about that - the fact that it was the end of Futurama was the worst for me.

But now we know better, it still brings a tear to my eye

I bet you didn't know it, but I'm a fiddle player too.
And if you care to take to a dare I'll make a bet with you.

Now you play a pretty good fiddle boy, but give the Devil his due,

It's not that - they try to keep them "neutral", but it's because the prosecution spent most of their time building a case and building a tower out of Krispy Creme Doughnuts.
Meh, I've never been a real fan of those donuts, all they are to me is glazed over bagels. I don't mind a bagel though since they taste good.

Neither were they - they just kept building towers out of them :P

On the other hand I have to take a Rush - 2112 album back to the store later today. Bought it last night and opened it looking forward to hear it only to see the case had no CD in it which was upsetting. :-(
Ah, the priests of the temples of Syrinx got there first :P
I see then. Took it back, ran everywhere as I was unable to get the same one and got the Icon album instead. Still having no luck getting a Weird Al CD and come to think of it he released a new one recently called Alpocalypse that I would not mind getting. :P

Yeah, I'll have to get it at some stage, but I've got other things on my want list ahead of it. Made some of my friends laugh, as driving them to another friend's house, I gave them about 6 minutes of "Trapped in the Drive-thru". Difficult to sing, but well worth it.

I wish I'd ditched French altogether and put more effort into German lessons. Then I could have done Geography instead.

I also wish I'd spent more time with my selections for A-Levels. I think I'd have ditched Maths and taken English at the very least, possibly something else, other than Physics as well. Still, this is all in the past. I've got the future to think of now and that could be a lot brighter than it was.

Ahh I see. I have yet to start playing FF XIII however I always found FF XII very fun. I haven't played it in awhile but I had almost all side quests completed except the Omega Mark thing (which to me just looks like an overgrown pain in the ass mimic) and the toughest of all known as Yizamat (unlike that one FF XI boss, this one can be beaten with patience and it doesn't have any spells to auto-restore itself to full health). Very fun game though even if Vann seems a bit whiny most of the time (at least to me anyways).

I never cared about FFXII enough to beat Yiazmat. However, now I'm finding myself back to Rollercoaster Tycoon. Damn you Deus Ex effect.

I look forward to you passing me, even if it's years away. The only way I'll go back to earning B/P is if they put the ranks beyond my retirement.

Have never played Rollercoaster Tycoon, how good is it? As for Yizamat I could probably beat the dragon thing if I had enough time on my hands, would have to have a perfect gambit setup and then walk away for a couple of hours. If you have the ability that allows for damage to go over 10,000 then it goes faster (although I think you can only do that in the international version which sucks for everyone who does not have that version >_>). It could take as few as 2 hours or as long as a day and a half.

The success of the top clubs is actually killing off the competition.

Exactly!

I thought it was sad to see last Tuesday that my favorite club, Ajax, got wiped off the pitch by Real Madrid (3-0). Ajax used to be amongst the best clubs in Europe, but they just can't compete with clubs like Chelsea and Real Madrid anymore.
Yeah, I feel the same about Aston Villa - we won lots of competitions in the early 80s, but now we're lucky if we can finish mid table.

Yes, isn't Aston Villa usually a bit of a middle-ranker in the English premier league?

Luckily Ajax is still doing well in the Dutch first division. Last year they finally got their 3rd star which fans have been waiting for for 7 years.

Though I guess the fact that our champion lost so badly to Real Madrid says a lot about the level of the Dutch football clubs.

I don't suppose your family would want any drama during the wedding either, so perhaps it'll be for the best to steer clear anyway.
Mum said she doesn't care what I do, but it's not hard to see she's lying. My brother's baby machine had her third kid yesterday (his second) and I'd just rather ignore the situation. They get praise and attention for being reckless. Well, I've still got a life and if they've ruined theirs, then that's fine by me. I'll meet the kid before he's 8 weeks old, when I met their second - it's not harmed relations with my nieces, so why should it harm relations with my Nephew?

Well they haven't done anything wrong to you, did they? So yeah, no reason to dislike them.

FFXIV was the biggest bomb of 2010. I think that says something for Square but no, they insist on an MMO not for Final Fantasy but for Dragon Quest. Maybe it will work better for that franchise but it's still too risky for them.

Yeah this might not be such a good idea. On the other hand though, perhaps it is good that they are at least trying something else with the series?

Why can't they just do a huge throwback to the classic games? Just go back to simple turn-based combat, simple ability learning systems and a classic FF story.
To be fair, I do like the fast pace action in FFXIII. The flexibility of the moves does make the engines feel free from dust. Not saying the previous battle systems were bad, though but this feels a lot faster.

Hmm... well I guess that's nice, but the battles looked a bit chaotic (from what I've seen from Gameplay videos).

Well... can't do this in a politically correct, democratic way then.
We won for one update.

YEAH!

Yeah that was just weird. From what I heard the normal monsters could all be one-hit KO'd with even the most simple attacks when you were able to hit for 99999 damage.
Yep, that's the strengths you can go to in FFX. FFXII had multiple hits within a single move but FFXIII does both. Well, the limit might exceed 99999 HP damage but the most I've seen taken off with a single attack is 50k HP.

Lol.

You know I'm playing FF9 again right now and I actually love how it is so hard to do high amounts of damage. I mean, if you hit for 3000 in this game, that's already a lot. And the guy with the most HP only has 80,000 HP which isn't even the final boss.

I guess they wanted a change from 1,000,000+ HP bosses they had in FFVII and FFVIII.

Last game, no one scored. Pity. :(
But at least Bayern didn't concede a goal as well, so that's 8 games in a row (or maybe even 9?) where they didn't concede a goal! Amazing.
Manuel Neuer has to be the player with the least ball contacts in the whole Bundesliga.

Oh yeah I saw that on the news this week. Amazing that they won 10 matches in a row and still haven't lost a game. Also, it's apparently 11 matches without a goal against.

Indeed, Neuer doesn't have an awful lot to do then. Great goalie by the way, I thought he was the best goalie of the WC.

It's all the medias fault!
Of course!

And the coorporations!

Erm... some flame retardant goo-y stuff then.
How fitting. If the zombie nerds are goo-y than their "blood" should be made out of goo-y stuff as well.

Splendid!

So uh... how are they supposed to move again?

Well done.
Don't put it in your pocket, sir. Don't put it in your pocket. It's your lucky quarter.
Get the fuck out of here.

Put it anywhere not in your pocket. Where it'll get mixed in with the others and become just a coin.
...

Which it is.

Have never played Rollercoaster Tycoon, how good is it?

I've played it many times before. Excellent game, despite the lack of option to speed things up. One year takes 75 minutes and a lot of levels generally require you to spend 3 or 4 years game time-wise in order to beat them.

As for Yizamat I could probably beat the dragon thing if I had enough time on my hands, would have to have a perfect gambit setup and then walk away for a couple of hours.

Ugh, fuck the gambit system. It only makes me feel lazy when using it.

Yeah this might not be such a good idea. On the other hand though, perhaps it is good that they are at least trying something else with the series?

It may work for another series but this is something they should hold off for a while.

Chaos is good. :P The only thing I wish I had was the ability to control the whole team.

At least Zidane's Ultima Weapon deals a lot of damage.

Enjoyable Linkin Park song I think. I don't like all of their songs but a majority of them are very enjoyable. REANIMATION (remix CD) had some good remixes on it as well. Strangely the remix of Pushing me Away on there is very nice.

I totally agree. I'll keep wasting my blams on shit like that, until the trend reverses, then I'll be getting blams for them!

Yup, just hit 0 on them. Also pretty sure I checked one yesterday and it shared a very, very damn similar background and outfit set to one I played a few weeks/months ago... getting lazier and lazier aren't they?

I'll bet a fiddle of gold against your soul cause I think I'm better than you!
The boy said "my name's Johnny and it might be a sin..."

But I'll take your bet you're gonna regret because I'm the best there's ever been!

Indeed it is. His second longest one right up there with Albuquerque which is also a hilarious song.
I'm more of a fan of his shorter tracks, like "since you've been gone" and Canadian Idiot

Ah yes! Canadian Idiot is hilarious anyways. Not sure if he did the Dirty Deeds Done dirt cheap parody where he talks about Mary Had a Little Lamb instead...

I don't mind the gambit system. Makes things a lot easier than having to constantly change what someone is doing all the time when you have one character to control. Generally whoever I am controlling I keep them with gambits but leave them turned off and turn on the gambits for the two team mates instead to make managing things easier. On the other hand, the last super boss I beat on the game before I put away my PS2 (which is still put away right now) was the Hell Wyrm which has almost 9 million hit points. I think I beat it in an hour as well since I kept leaving and re-entering the room any time it casted that nasty super spell that inflicted some of the really shitty statuses on you like stop and disease. Having Vann with the Zodiac Spear (along with always having the Berserk+Haste+Reverse combo on him) at all times helped make the battle a lot easier.

I think in FF XII if you had the best katana weapon you had higher chances for combos in general with a katana. I think the best combo I tended to get was 10 hit combos although 13 hit combos are likely but the chance of getting that combo is pretty low.

Lol.

You know I'm playing FF9 again right now and I actually love how it is so hard to do high amounts of damage. I mean, if you hit for 3000 in this game, that's already a lot. And the guy with the most HP only has 80,000 HP which isn't even the final boss.

I suppose, still want to buy the game at some point and play. Also what's up with Excalibur II? It's not much better than Excalibur and you have to beat the game in an insane time. D:

Well, back in the day, we won seven FA Cups, seven league titles, finished runner up 10 times and we won the Eurpoean Cup in 1982. I know that Ajax have won 4 titles, but I'm just expressing our rich history.

There's two versions of events on this - most of the details I'm still not comfortable with, so I keep them off the internet, plus I might write a book about them someday. I'm just sick on mum leaping to the defence of my brother's girlfriend. I hope she does the same for mine, if Phil ever bad mouths her. If I catch him doing that, I'm likely to go nuts.

The gambit system feels like the game is doing all the work for you. I feel FFXIII is at least an improvement since auto-battle could do the unwanted commands. However, you still lack control from the other two party members.

I wish I'd ditched French altogether and put more effort into German lessons. Then I could have done Geography instead.

I had to learn a second foreign language (either French or Latin) in lower grades in order to get my A levels. Or else I would've been forced to learn spanich in the upper grades. I was just planning ahead: Learn a second language now and get some more free time in the upper levels.

I also wish I'd spent more time with my selections for A-Levels. I think I'd have ditched Maths and taken English at the very least, possibly something else, other than Physics as well. Still, this is all in the past. I've got the future to think of now and that could be a lot brighter than it was.

Yeah, picking maths as one of my major fields hasn't been a smart move. I ended up with english class and german class as my major fields. But on the other hand, there wasn't anything else I was interested in enough to pick it as my major.

Manuel Neuer has to be the player with the least ball contacts in the whole Bundesliga.
Oh yeah I saw that on the news this week. Amazing that they won 10 matches in a row and still haven't lost a game. Also, it's apparently 11 matches without a goal against.

Even better.

Indeed, Neuer doesn't have an awful lot to do then. Great goalie by the way, I thought he was the best goalie of the WC.

He made some easy mistakes in the near past (or at least, he didn't look too good), but I think he will be there when he's needed most.

It's all the medias fault!
Of course!
And the coorporations!

Goes without saying.

Erm... some flame retardant goo-y stuff then.
How fitting. If the zombie nerds are goo-y than their "blood" should be made out of goo-y stuff as well.
Splendid!

So uh... how are they supposed to move again?

We could give them scooters so they can drive around.

Well done.
Don't put it in your pocket, sir. Don't put it in your pocket. It's your lucky quarter.
Get the fuck out of here.
Put it anywhere not in your pocket. Where it'll get mixed in with the others and become just a coin.
...

Which it is.

*puts on cool face again*
