Can anyone deposit and log for my account for about a week? I'll be in Puerto Rico from the 22nd to the 28th and won't have internet access. It would be greatly appreciated.

Must've been quite a sight. I can barely walk with an injured leg, let alone run insanely fast. Do you know what the winning state time was? 10.8 is pretty damn fast.

Consisting of tearing over and over again.

Is there anything you can do about it? Do you have a chiropractor at least?

Of course, he has an awesome beard himself. Well, that or he hates Tom...That evil bastard.

Yeah, but he died by the end of the flash, so it's fine.

Hilarious. Sorry but level 11 it has to be.
Can't blame me for trying - like when we were scouts, we were just very hungry.
When I think of scout, I can only think of Scout from TF2 and nothing else.

BTW, did I do good last night on Stickam?

I'd say so. Drinking cider and calling your dad a chode were the real highlights.

I should have spent my birthday in London and then give you a warm welcome to the city. :P

Would've been great, but I'm not sure if I would have had time for a meet up. My gf wanted to go to all kinds of vegan restaurants across the city (she's vegan) and we wanted to do some shopping and sightseeing too. Five days was actually a little short for all that, but we didn't have the money to go any longer.

I see. To be honest, I can't imagine you with a fab aura.

*grins*

I don't suppose most of them are really practicing bestiality in real life, but maybe they're thinking about it.
I sure hope not. At least no-one can accuse me of anything for my interest in dragons. :P

Nope, that's completely natural.

No it would be the lamest death I've ever had.
What? Getting killed by a sword up your ass would be lame? No way.

Well it wouldn't be the most graceful death :p

Haha well I heard the number of true Stickam regulars that won awards this year is actually pretty low. About as much as the number of Wi/Ht?-ers Gagsy said (although I'm not sure if Gagsy can be trusted).
Gagsy left me last night on Stickam. She said she can only have love for one place and that's the General forum. :'( Later on she was looking up dragon porn on the internet. She clearly has no interest in me anymore.

There you have it. She's a foul witch and can't be trusted.

Like I said it were the most time efficient methods. You could also refine cards for it, but that method was even lamer and more time consuming than drawing (unless you went to someone with very good cards).
I really liked Triple Triad and I couldn't refine any of the rare cards I had. However, all the other cards, no problem.

Yeah I kinda liked that minigame too. I think Spoony was a little too harsh on that one. I had more problems with Tetra Masters in FF IX to be honest.

I thought that magic refining method was a little lame because you needed to play the card game for so long before you finally had a decent profit from them.

I gotta say that I did like the level up system a lot. In other FF's the game often stalled when you got to a boss fight (or the final boss) because your level wasn't high enough to beat him. In FF8 you could just keep on going in the game.
I actually didn't like the level system in FFVIII. I thought it went far too quick, especially when you can easily reach level 100 in Balamb Garden. It's time consuming but it's not eternal like reaching level 99 in the very first place in FFVII or any other game in the franchise. Although Oblivion did a similar thing for their game, I felt it was more convenient for it due to the nonlinear nature of the game.

I just think the 1,000 experience requirement was too low considering there were monsters that could give you well over 1,000 experience if you defeated them. If they increased that requirement with every 10 levels or so it might have been better and less quick.

But generally I think monsters growing with you was a good idea for the reasons I mentioned before.

Yeah someone needs to convince him how good this idea is. Maybe he would want to go for the sake of 'having seen more of the world' and maybe he will agree that it could make some awesome videos.
Hey, that could work, although if it was me going to Japan, I'd love to go no matter what. After all, I know a few Japanese metal bands I listen to and getting their CDs is a bitch over here.

I'd love to go to Japan myself too, just to see the culture, nature and old architecture. I would love to go shopping for Miyazaki films too, but I'm afraid I might end up with Japanese only which I don't understand a single word of.

I wouldn't say he was responsible for it - he descended into alcoholism, as the club sold influential players and they finished bottom of the league and he announced his retirement. Falling out with his long time assistant, Peter Taylor had left him a broken man. Forest returned to the Premiership the next season, under former player under Clough, Frank Clark.

I see. I did read somewhere that that other guy was not acting very responsible when it came to buying players. I suppose the club might have gotten into financial trouble later, despite them winning the European cup, and had to sell a lot of them. But the coach descending into alcoholism is unfortunate. I don't know if he had a history with that, but it sounds like a sad story.

Even if I liked The Backstreet Boys and Take That? :p

If you wanna know I'm generally more of a classic rock fan. Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Who, AC/DC and that sort of thing (lots of 60's and 70's stuff). I also love psychedelic rock such as The Doors and Pink Floyd and there's a few pop rock bands I like (U2, The Beatles, Snow Patrol)...

When it comes to metal I can appreciate a little Metallica and Iron Maiden every now and again, but it's about as mainstream as it can get I suppose.

Anyway I think rock and metal go well together. I know lots of people who like both metal and classic rock.

I don't care, I just don't want to see that ever again. =P

Lol :p

I'm afraid you might threaten me with watching the final over and over again, so maybe it's best if I don't harass you too much with it.

And you should watch A Clockwork Orange, it's awesome.
Yeah, my cousin told me about it a few years ago, but I ended up forgetting about it. I barely ever rent movies, though this might change with the arrival of a PS3. :)

Well go see Clockwork Orange then. It is awesome in my opinion, and quite a bizarre experience.

Well I only know him from when he was still at Sporting Lisbon and played for the Portuguese team. I was like: "hey this guy is pretty amazing". I think back then he didn't overuse those little tricks so much, and he wasn't a complete prick yet.
Yeah, I guess he was more "practical" back then. He would have an objective, and not just mess around while playing. He's kinda like Beckham - He gets more with his image than with his football. Although Beckham is a nice guy.

Indeed. He was still playing for the team and not for himself. Beckham indeed seems to be much nicer. I liked how he was still on the bench for the English team and provided moral support.

Ai. That's a little much. I mean any player can play a bad game sometimes. It's just unfortunate for him that it was for such an important match.
Have you ever heard of a Colombian (I think) player that scored an own goal in a World Cup, and was murdered when he got back home? THAT is a little too much.

Never heard of that story, but I think I have heard other stories about players who got tortured or killed for playing poorly.

That also reminds me of the WC in 1978 in Argentina. I believe some major players of the dutch team, most notably Johan Cruijff, were threatened with death and refused to play.

I guess they're really serious about football in South-America, but I know there are lots of football fanatics in Europe too.

But yeah, it's what I've said - It doesn't matter if we lost only 5 matches before if we lose one in the knock-out stage. You can make as many mistakes as you wish during qualifying matches, as long as you don't repeat them in the World Cup.

Yep. It's too bad for him, but hey, he'll get over it. I'm sure they'll give him another chance.

Me neither. I've already said it several times, they just don't deserve it in my opinion. They played a very average tournament with minimal victories and they even lost to Switzerland.
And everyone now claims that they deserved it. What, a team that passes the ball the entire game and scores only one goal almost every match? Come on now...

I expected a lot more from them, and it's kinda lame to win a cup while you've lost a match along the way. I wouldn't say that they didn't deserve to win the final as both teams were about equally matched, but over the entire tournament they were very disappointing.

In Holland they were very angry with Howard Webb after the match, and rightfully so in my opinion. I bet it was the worst match in his referee career. He made big mistakes on both ends though, but I had a feeling he was stricter towards Holland than towards Spain.

And yeah that fucking octopus >=|
Some people want to buy him. I'd say we should fry him. ^^

Lol :p

Oh well, he's only a prophet. It's not his fault that things turn out the way he says.

Yeah if Dunga won he would be a genius, if Dunga lost he would be a retard. Looking at the whole picture he didn't do that badly, but it might have been a good idea to bring Ronaldinho and Pato along. If it was only to shut-up the media back home.
Yeah, it's the problem of having one powerful media channel. They dictate what goes on, if they want an exclusive interview, they'll get it. This is one of the reasons Dunga was so criticised by that media group.

In his words: "If one can have it, why can't the other one have it as well?"

Lol, I think the same happens in Italy with Berlusconi owning pretty much everything.

Anyway, I think the media played a big influence on this tournament. You could see that there were some countries were the media was more than ready to burn down the team as soon as they were eliminated, and they were (Brazil, England, Italy). I don't know if it effected the performance of the team, but it does raise the pressure on them.

At 7/14/10 03:22 PM, Sir-Nuts wrote:
Ha yeah. My dad had the same idea once, because a PS3 is cheaper apparently. But he bought a Blu-Ray/Stereo/Hi-Fi/DVD/Tape player type thingie instead.
Ah, nice. Was it cheaper than the PS3?

I don't know. I don't know what he paid for it, but I expect that it was more expensive. Although this one had a lot more coming with it, so I can't really make a comparison.

I'm just sticking to DVD's though, Blu-Ray's are still too expensive in my opinion.
Yeah, a Blu-Ray DVD is about R$90,00 in here, while a regular DVD is R$30,00 - R$50,00. I guess we'll only rent a couple of Blu-Ray DVDs, and maybe buy one if we really like it. Otherwise, I think it's not worth it. I don't know, we have to try out the Blu-Ray before having any formed opinions. ^^

Yeah we'd have to, but for now I'll just wait until DVDs are no longer sold and Blu-Ray are as expensive as DVDs are now.

Remembering that we have 15 losses, but we are the only country that has been to all the world cups. :)
That is still impressive.
And we're guaranteed in 2014, since we are the hosts. =P

There's a small debate going on FIFA about whether or not South America should have another spot in the World Cup, since Brazil is already there and such...

I can live with SA getting an extra spot. I believe there was some debate somewhere about all the little countries participating and if we shouldn't let Europe get a few extra spots. It's a little silly that Sweden and Czech Republic aren't participating while Honduras, New Zealand and North-Korea are.

I think they do have a point somewhere. The tournament might be more interesting with less little countries from non-football continents and more underdogs from Europe and SA. Although the diversity is nice too.

Maybe my trip to Londen can bring me much awesomeness.
Not to sound like an annoying grammar prick, but... why Londen, and not London? =P Is it the local way you write it in the Netherlands?

Oh yeah sorry. Londen is what we write in Holland, but it's pronounced about the same. So I confuse them sometimes.

Hard to top Paris but it's great that London still had a lot to offer (except a respectable soccer team in the World Cup lol).

Like I said it didn't top Paris in sightseeing. But there were plenty of other things that were much better in my opinion. The fact that everybody speaks English and not only French is already a big plus. I think the people living there are generally nicer too. French people living in Paris tend to be a little arrogant to anyone who's not French.

It's a good city for shopping too, I bought a ton of second hand DVDs for about a third of the price I would have to pay for them on Holland. Didn't buy any Pimms Coop, sorry about that. £21 for a liter was a little much and we wanted to spent the last of our money on a bottle, but we were in such a hurry that we forgot.
Sounds a lot like the way Freeport in the Bahamas works with liquor,a fifth of Vodka Absolute is only like $10 when it's about $25-$30 here in the states.

That is really expensive. I'm wondering if Holland is simply cheap when it comes to liquor then. 21 euros is about the price for a bottle of Jack Daniels Whiskey here and most other liquor doesn't go over 15 euros per bottle.

So yeah... I can recommend anyone to go to London. We had a great time there and we will definitely go back there sometime :)
Only been to the Bahamas out of North America so maybe if i ever get a chance again to leave the states i would think about London though my #1 next stop would probably still be Japan. =P

It would be worth the trip.

I got Japan high on my list of places I would like to visit too. I'm quite interested in the culture and history of Japan. Only problem is, it's soooo far away.

Can you believe that I got drunk during the daytime? It was for my baby cousin's christening and last night I was at a local bar for a Metallica tribute band and got drunk there as well. It's been one hell of a weekend.

And yes, I still had a lot of alcohol in my system whilst making these posts. I'M WINNER!

Exactly that. Infact, I'm sure game companies aren't making a real attempt at a Superman game because of how bad Superman 64 was. If Batman had a 3D game that bad back then, I bet we wouldn't have Arkham Asylum right now.
Yeah, now there's a horrifying thought *shudders*

My apologies to Batman for that horrible thought.

Maybe it's just me, but I'm still failing to see where this is extra compared to other places. You would have never gotten a job at a school in America unless you were related to someone on the staff, good friends with someone on the staff, friends with the mayor of the town, or willing to pay the interviewer around 5,000 dollars. Corruption is what makes the world go round nowadays.

Well, at this point, I have no faith in British politicians and I still feel there's a better place for me. Meh, how can I talk about politicians when drunk?

Good, I'll get myself to prepare the attack as well.

Indeed, now it's definitely wonderful to be an icon mod.

Maybe the NG London Meet after the one in August. ;)

Well, we have nothing to worry about now.

BTW, did I do good last night on Stickam?
I'd say so. Drinking cider and calling your dad a chode were the real highlights.

Hahaha. Yes, I remember that very well and I had every right to say that. Also, I was also drinking lager.

So? Most of us are lazy anyway.

Ah well, there's always next time.

Myself going from light to evil, neutral or even dark is to mess with people's minds who are far too used to me with light aura. If they say to me "I can't imagine you without light aura", I'll just change my aura for a day to spite them.
I see. To be honest, I can't imagine you with a fab aura.

Who could?

*grins*

I'm not liking that grin at all.

I sure hope not. At least no-one can accuse me of anything for my interest in dragons. :P
Nope, that's completely natural.

Good, I'm glad you're not judging me for anything.

What? Getting killed by a sword up your ass would be lame? No way.
Well it wouldn't be the most graceful death :p

I thought it would. Ah well, maybe you can come up with better ways to die.

Gagsy left me last night on Stickam. She said she can only have love for one place and that's the General forum. :'( Later on she was looking up dragon porn on the internet. She clearly has no interest in me anymore.
There you have it. She's a foul witch and can't be trusted.

Actually, it's unclear right now. I'll keep you up with the updates.

I really liked Triple Triad and I couldn't refine any of the rare cards I had. However, all the other cards, no problem.
Yeah I kinda liked that minigame too. I think Spoony was a little too harsh on that one. I had more problems with Tetra Masters in FF IX to be honest.

I didn't really mind his thoughts on Triple Triad. It was only a minigame so he can say what he wants. As for me, at least I had fun with it.

I thought that magic refining method was a little lame because you needed to play the card game for so long before you finally had a decent profit from them.

I had some cases of OCD for the game so it was no issue.

That's it, there were monsters that gave you 250 or more EXP within the first place. That's what made it too easy to level up. I'd much rather have FFIV's slow level system than that. At least I knew getting to the highest level wouldn't be a walk in the park.

I just thought of the greatest idea: Where is/How to? Meet up IN JAPAN! :D

Surely you can't expect me to be an audio or art mod. :P Can't we focus on taking over Newgrounds instead?
Becoming a pentamod would be a giant step in taking over Newgrounds. Admin status won't be far away, and when we form the majority of the admins, NG is ours!

And there's people who reckon I do more work than some of the staff members. Some of you guys are insane!

Hell yeah! Go right ahead and say you like Justin Bieber. I FUCKING DARE YOU! Not once will it bother me.

When it comes to metal I can appreciate a little Metallica and Iron Maiden every now and again

That's good enough for me. Better than some crazy bitch I met last night who she hated Maiden with a passion for reasons I never cared about. :P

Oh, so you're in season 20 then? If that's the case, season 19 blows but it did have a few passable episodes.
Now comes back into play what I said earlier: I'm never too sure which season is shown. And I'm too lazy to check. ^^
I'm sure your latest two seasons are 19 and 20 considering what you've said and I've expressed my opinions on them.

Ok, I just checked Wikipedia. I learned that season 20 was shown here and in the USA season 21 is running.

You don't need to actually give the author's flashes a five. Just view their submissions, if you think it was bad then give them a low score, if it was good then give it a high score, it's as simple as that. Is your opinion what matters.

Aww man, I love London. Haven't been to London since last year though.

Me and my girlfriend really enjoyed ourselves. It's a great city in our opinion. It doesn't have as much to offer as Paris when it comes to sightseeing, but it has lots of other pros. Like the public transport is much, much better. There is a bus stop on almost every inch of the street and you can get anywhere with the tube.

I don't think I've ever taken the bus in London, though I always wanted to ride those red double-deckers as a kid. Did take the tube, though. Never liked the tube.

Sounds like you had a blast!

I'm back, I guess.

No. What WeirdAlthe3rd neglected to say is that we tend to only congratulate starting Level 10, since it take some doing to achieve. Not to mention, it is really frowned upon to +1 post in this thread. If you wish to converse/congratulate then do so, but limit it to once per day.
