No, NEVER! It will not fucking happen!

Good.

You're not ambitious enough.
I'm just being realistic.
If you don't be ambitious, you won't get far in life.

Why should I waste my energy to try something that has no chance of success in the first place? I'll rather concentrate on other, more important things.

You have some bravery, Haggard.
Maybe it's bravery, but maybe it's just being cautions and flying under Wadolf's radar.
We could say it's both if that makes you happy.

Could be both as well. ;)

True that, it's better than nothing. However, lack of Manowar in your library is saddening.

Lack of Manowar is what's so good about my musical taste.

I saw your message in my flash, Haggard.
I also reviewed the flash and said I'm sorry I didn't come up with anything better.
It's OK, it actually made it funnier. Hopefully in 5 years time, our Manowar arguments will be remembered by the next generation of Wi/Ht?'ers. :P

It will be remembered as the most boring and stupid thing that has ever been discussed in the LUL. ^^

100x better than anything The Simpsons have done since the cancellation of Futurama and by that, I mean it's awesome.
You know, for someone who claims to not like the Simpsons you seem to care an awful lot about the show. :P
I've seen many episodes from the later seasons and I know how bad they are. These horrible episodes can't get away from criticism.

The latest season (and the one before) was pretty good in my opinion. Sure, some jokes are shown for far too long, but overall the episodes are funny.

I don't know if it is still the same with Futurama, but when I stopped watching somewhere during or after the second season all jokes where either: Fry is dumb, Bender drinks alcohol (or Bender does NOT drink alcohol), Fry tries to flirt with Leela or jokes that have a reference to our era.
Especially the last thing was what killed the fun for me: Fry is somewhere in the future, why still reference our era? If you wanted to do jokes that reference our era, why the hassle to send Fry into the future anyway?

That's odd, Duke Nukem never had that problem so why do you have it?
Duke Nukem never had a family to disturb.
Good point, Duke Nukem is just too badass. Funny we're talking about him now since when I was having a little trip with my parents yesterday, I was wondering what would Duke Nukem's favourite bands be if he was a real person. I'd say Megadeth just because they covered his theme.

Yeah, I can see him as a thrasher. Dream Theater and probably Slayer as well.

It sure did!

I played a bit of it last night and so far so good. For once, I truly feel like I'm Batman.
That's what I loved about it; the atmosphere is perfect, it really feels like everything you want in a Batman game lumped into one game.

Exactly and it took this long to get it right. Wow.

Looking forward to Arkham 2, and secretly hoping it will be something in a GTA-scale Gotham City, I would be so unbelievably happy.

Sounds like a challenge. Hopefully they know what they're doing with that since Spider-Man tried that once and I got bored with the game so fast. Batman could probably pull it off better, though because it's fucking Batman!

Yes, I shall continue tonight.

That's exactly why we should have Bender icon. However, I don't know what to do for Auz, ReNaeNae and a few other icon mods who also have other mod privileges.
Good question. I would say that since they do get other shiny buttons to play with that they shouldn't have the bender icon though that might be a little strict.

So Auz and now cast would be downgraded with their level icons. :P

If you're talking about season 21, then I actually haven't watched any from there. I did see the whole of season 20 and to be honest, a fair amount of them were actually decent. They seemed to have switched gears when they started using the HD intro which is funny because the new intro sucks. Ah well, at least they've made some improvements.

Overkill, Exodus, Kreator and a few other key thrash artists would also fit his tastes. As for Metallica, I'd bet Duke Nukem would call them pussies.

Sneijder? It was Robben wasn't it? :p

I don't care, I just don't want to see that ever again. =P

And you should watch A Clockwork Orange, it's awesome.

Yeah, my cousin told me about it a few years ago, but I ended up forgetting about it. I barely ever rent movies, though this might change with the arrival of a PS3. :)

I only kept up with him when he was already in Manchester Utd. so I don't know much about his carer on Portugal. He must have been a really great player back then, though, since he was hired by one of the most important football clubs.
Well I only know him from when he was still at Sporting Lisbon and played for the Portuguese team. I was like: "hey this guy is pretty amazing". I think back then he didn't overuse those little tricks so much, and he wasn't a complete prick yet.

Yeah, I guess he was more "practical" back then. He would have an objective, and not just mess around while playing. He's kinda like Beckham - He gets more with his image than with his football. Although Beckham is a nice guy.

Lol :p Yeah one own goal and one red card... I bet he didn't sleep well that night.
Yeah, he might have been thinking - "Man, what am I going to say when I get home?"

PS: He wasn't really well received in his arrival here. Talk about a bunch of bodyguards around him + people willing to throw things at him. :P
Ai. That's a little much. I mean any player can play a bad game sometimes. It's just unfortunate for him that it was for such an important match.

Have you ever heard of a Colombian (I think) player that scored an own goal in a World Cup, and was murdered when he got back home? THAT is a little too much.

But yeah, it's what I've said - It doesn't matter if we lost only 5 matches before if we lose one in the knock-out stage. You can make as many mistakes as you wish during qualifying matches, as long as you don't repeat them in the World Cup.

The final is probably gonna be interesting. Might come down to which team is more efficient, and so far that team has been Holland.
I hope so. I really don't want Spain to win this one.

They have the octopus on their side, though. =(
Me neither. I've already said it several times, they just don't deserve it in my opinion. They played a very average tournament with minimal victories and they even lost to Switzerland.

And everyone now claims that they deserved it. What, a team that passes the ball the entire game and scores only one goal almost every match? Come on now...

And yeah that fucking octopus >=|

Some people want to buy him. I'd say we should fry him. ^^

But it's that same old story: if they win, they're heroes. If they lose, they're villains. No one would be saying anything if we hadn't lost that match.
Yeah if Dunga won he would be a genius, if Dunga lost he would be a retard. Looking at the whole picture he didn't do that badly, but it might have been a good idea to bring Ronaldinho and Pato along. If it was only to shut-up the media back home.

Yeah, it's the problem of having one powerful media channel. They dictate what goes on, if they want an exclusive interview, they'll get it. This is one of the reasons Dunga was so criticised by that media group.

In his words: "If one can have it, why can't the other one have it as well?"

Continues on the other post...

That would be a waste.
And hey, due to that TV, my dad is thinking of buying a PS3, since it's also a Blu-Ray player. Isn't that great? ^^
Ha yeah. My dad had the same idea once, because a PS3 is cheaper apparently. But he bought a Blu-Ray/Stereo/Hi-Fi/DVD/Tape player type thingie instead.

Ah, nice. Was it cheaper than the PS3?

I'm just sticking to DVD's though, Blu-Ray's are still too expensive in my opinion.

Yeah, a Blu-Ray DVD is about R$90,00 in here, while a regular DVD is R$30,00 - R$50,00. I guess we'll only rent a couple of Blu-Ray DVDs, and maybe buy one if we really like it. Otherwise, I think it's not worth it. I don't know, we have to try out the Blu-Ray before having any formed opinions. ^^

Remembering that we have 15 losses, but we are the only country that has been to all the world cups. :)
That is still impressive.

And we're guaranteed in 2014, since we are the hosts. =P

There's a small debate going on FIFA about whether or not South America should have another spot in the World Cup, since Brazil is already there and such...

You might even say: "What a week!"
...And hopefully the rest of the month as well. ^^
Maybe my trip to Londen can bring me much awesomeness.

I do have an alt but never use it. I also have more then one e-mail. I'll probably make a new e-mail for college as the e-mail I use now doesn't have my name in the e-mail.

And hey, not everything is perfect about beaches. I've been burnt badly by a jellyfish once, aside from various minor burns. It's a pretty awful feeling, it feels like touching something really hot, but not being able to cool it down.
Ouch, that must have been horrible. Luckily I've not had such contact with sea creatures but I do remember in Florida having experience with dolphins.

Yeah, indeed it was. A great part of my right side was burnt, and I had to walk all the way from the beach to our house. It isn't far, but it was painful during that situation.

Yes I have an alt. I used a real email to create mine though you can use a temporary email to create one. However you will be SOL if you forget the password and need it sent to you obviously. The reason I used a real one is because I use my alt as a backup in case something happens to this one, so I might need to ask for the password if I'm forgetful.

That'll be me in about two weeks. I'm heading off to Puerto Rico and I don't want to think about the internet much while I'm there.
Well, will you have internet connection there, at least? Try to deposit, at least. You might regret it later. =P
I think I'll have a connection, and if not I'll have someone deposit for me. I'll find out before I leave.

Ah, cool. As much as I don't like missing deposits, I have never let anyone have my account. Most people do it here, so it's alright.

Yeah, I don't have strategies in Mahjong either, but it's still pretty fun. As for Minesweeper, I'm better than anyone I know that can play it without guessing too much, heh. =P

Saying hi from Londen.

And I just passed 43,000 Saves. I'm about to get a much bigger BP achievement though, but it might take a few days.

I screwed up on my list yesterday and forgot to copy my conversation with Fro into the other tab. I don't think very well at 10:30 at night.

Good news, though. Today I auditioned for the Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestra, which is very prestigious, and made it. I found out mere minutes after the audition too so I must have done a damn good job.

Wilhelm had a great day. Congrats to:

I dunno, I'm tempted to start listening to some. It's good to have variety and I need a place to start. What would you suggest for a first album? I'll buy anything as long as it's not too insane.
Helloween isn't really a starter metal band. Maybe for power metal but if we're talking about metal in general here, I recommend the main six artists:

Black Sabbath
Iron Maiden
Judas Priest
Megadeth
Metallica
Motörhead

I know they're well known bands but incase you haven't given any of them a real taster, it'd be a good idea to do so if you're wanting to explore more of this genre. If you find that it's still not your cup of tea, no worries.

Alright, I'll give some of them a try. I won't have much of a chance to listen to them for a while though, so I'll probably wait until August to check them out. Thanks!

Uh, I think 12 seconds for easy, like 96 for medium and 250 exactly for hard. Some people are way faster but I'm happy with those times.

Got a 6 semesters average at high school of 98, an awesome score in the admission test, while the sons/daughters of doctors (with plenty of bucks) got in medicine school with awful averages and scores.

Now let's wait for next year, and if I still don't get accepted I'll move to another city to follow my dream on becoming a doctor.

* Playing in the Invitation Cup quarter final against The Sportsman, we were greeted with sunny spells and the occasional very brief shower of rain. Not the most ideal conditions for playing cricket. We lost the toss and were asked to field first. The first ball came down from Scott Puplett and was deposited neatly into my hands on the off side 45 by their opener. A very good start to a potential banana skin of a fixture.

A few wickets tumbled and the bowling was rotated rather frequently for a Wednesday night. I was asked to remove the cap and loosen the shoulders, which I did, dispatching a chap whom I went to school with in the first over and conceeding a mere 6 runs. He tried to guide one to Cow Corner and missed, the ball just bouning neatly off the top of his bails. The second over was when I got into my stride. Allowing a cheap single to the new batsman, I took on the slightly more settled left hander, who tried a sweep shot, watched the ball flick off his bat, pad and halfway up his middle stump. Cue a few nervous laughs from the Cookley boys. The next ball received an almighty swing, the captain's shot only going skyward. Will Morgan with the safe gloves guided that one back to earth and suddenly, I was on a hat trick, for the second time in my career. The new batsman played exactly the same shot, with very similar results. Brian Davies taking the catch on the leg side 45 to give me my first Hat Trick and career best bowling figures of 2 (8 ball) overs; 9 runs conceeded; 4 wickets.

It gets expensive, when you bowl well, but I'll pay for that round of drinks, just to do that again.

Yeah, the "new" dark aura, but the red aura was called "dark aura" before the redesign. So technically speaking, you've had a dark aura before. :P

If you don't be ambitious, you won't get far in life.
Why should I waste my energy to try something that has no chance of success in the first place? I'll rather concentrate on other, more important things.
How about I try it myself? Will that make you happy?

Sure, try it.

True that, it's better than nothing. However, lack of Manowar in your library is saddening.
Lack of Manowar is what's so good about my musical taste.
Lack of Manowar is what's lacking in your musical taste. :P

Nope. No Manowar for me. Never. Why should I listen to bands that I don't like?

It's OK, it actually made it funnier. Hopefully in 5 years time, our Manowar arguments will be remembered by the next generation of Wi/Ht?'ers. :P
It will be remembered as the most boring and stupid thing that has ever been discussed in the LUL. ^^
No, it will be remembered as the silliest argument on Newgrounds.

Silly and boring.

I've seen many episodes from the later seasons and I know how bad they are. These horrible episodes can't get away from criticism.
The latest season (and the one before) was pretty good in my opinion. Sure, some jokes are shown for far too long, but overall the episodes are funny.

Tbh, I never know which season an episode is from, but for the last 2 years (I guess this must have been season 19, 20 and/or part of 21) there where some funny episodes.
Also yes, the new intro sucks. It's too long.

That's what I loved about it; the atmosphere is perfect, it really feels like everything you want in a Batman game lumped into one game.
Exactly and it took this long to get it right. Wow.

Yeah, but when they got it right, they really did.. Almost flawless.

Yeah, I've brought this point up with friends who disagreed saying the stealth in Arkham worked so well because it was a closed environment, and if it was applied to a whole city it wouldn't work as well, but I don't care, I want my GTA Batman dammit!

Well I never ever needed cardio for sprints, but if you feel like it'll help then feel free. What's going to make your times go down is lifting weights with your legs. Sprints are about strength and speed, which is formed from muscle.

Anyway, I ran the 100 in 11.5 and the 200 in 23.9 seconds. Those were my fastest times ever and I never repeated them though. Most of the time I ran a 11.8 in the 100 and 24.2 in the 200.
Yeah, I'm not even close. Then again, I'm young, so I can still get faster. I might not get 23/9s any time soon, but I've got 4 years before high school ends so I've got a goal.

I ran these times my Junior year of track. Then torn hamstrings made me slow to almost a complete halt. I can barely run anymore.

The only time that I've used a temp email on NG was to free up email account. I had two alt but I wanted to get rid of one of them and use the same email for the new alt. So I just used Rocketmail and switched it out.

While I don't under stand cricket or it's scoring system I do understand a Hat Trick and usually that a pretty hard feat to accomplish. Awesome.

How the hell is that logical?

Well you see, Bowser is the evil maniacal side while Team Rocket is. ... ah screw it. I have no clue; it just fits, sort of, not really.

I don't even think Cooper on Stickam can lure me on it. Now NG Chat...

I'll take the cool icon for granted. Well, that's if I had it. :P

Somebody should make a GreaseMonkey script for it. At least you'd be able to see it and admire it.

Not sure where I want to retire this alt but level 11 might be the closest that's related to soup for it to open the can.

You should retire at Level 26. :)

Ah right. It's pretty much like me while posting here. It should take so long to post, but I always get distracted with something, be it a new portal submission, a game, my cat...
Heh, I've got two parakeets that I'm always yelling at for being too loud. I love them to death but they're so annoying sometimes.

Hahahaha, that happens. One of my cats loves some attention as well. She keeps "calling" me to scratch her while she eats. It might interrupt me, but I can't do anything, I have to attend her. ^^

I think I'll have a connection, and if not I'll have someone deposit for me. I'll find out before I leave.
Ah, cool. As much as I don't like missing deposits, I have never let anyone have my account. Most people do it here, so it's alright.
I had Haggard manage my account while I was in Germany last year, and he didn't let me down. Turns out I won't have a connection so I'm gonna have to find someone to deposit and log.

Anyone here is available. You have options. =P

Yup, me too. I still haven't found any strategy in Mahjong so it's just luck if I win. I'm pretty decent at Minesweeper, at least compared to most people.
Yeah, I don't have strategies in Mahjong either, but it's still pretty fun. As for Minesweeper, I'm better than anyone I know that can play it without guessing too much, heh. =P

What is your best time in it?
Uh, I think 12 seconds for easy, like 96 for medium and 250 exactly for hard. Some people are way faster but I'm happy with those times.

Heh, this reminds me from my brother and I "battling" over times in Minesweeper. Turns out he has 7 seconds in easy, 53 seconds in medium and I have 158 in hard. Those were great times, I can't manage to do below 200 anymore, neither can he beat his times.

And it's surprising how many still people don't get how the game works. It looks so simple for me nowadays...

Corruption, man. Corruption...
Got a 6 semesters average at high school of 98, an awesome score in the admission test, while the sons/daughters of doctors (with plenty of bucks) got in medicine school with awful averages and scores.

Ah, I wouldn't doubt that. Nepotism and the "law of the 'stronger' "...

Here the system is different. You have only one test every semester, open to anyone. You pick the course you want, and if you do better than the other who also picked that course, you're in. It's very criticised, though.

Now let's wait for next year, and if I still don't get accepted I'll move to another city to follow my dream on becoming a doctor.

I'm hoping for the best, man. Unfairness won't prevail. ;)

I'm getting there. Just a case of learning to put all of the bits together.

Who taught you that, anyway? Family "inheritance"? That's at least how my dad learned it, from his dad...

Fearsome.
And so it should be. Are you just on about the tie?

Nah, it's more on the beard-tie combo. Looks like a boss.

... Would you wait until the end of the year? :P
I guess so - life has a habit of making me wait :P

Heh, great. Just don't start keeping track of me now, I barely have 100 responses, I guess. :P

Clock Day 2008 was awful for ratio - No Blams; ~950 Saves
Ah, Clock Day is in a Sunday this year. I guess I'll wake up tired on Monday. =P
I'm out of the loop most of the day - I'll get what I can, but we'll just have to wait and see, it'll come around whatever way it goes.

Yeah, I remember that it's my former English school's anniversary, so I missed some portal time attending the mini-party my teacher held there a couple of years ago. Since it's on a Sunday, I think she'll pass it to the following Monday. Great for everyone.
