Man it took a lot longer than I expected to get from Silver to Gold. Normal to Bronze took like 5 days, Bronze to Silver was around 2 weeks and Silver to Gold has been at least 3 months. I know I haven't been as active lately but it's still ridiculously out of proportion.

I haven't had a Silver Whistle ever since they switched up the scale years ago. :/

To answer your question, most likely.

Yeah it was amazingly quick going from Bronze to Silver. I think it's because I get practically all of my whistle points by flagging abusive reviews. I only very occasionally blow the whistle on lousy submissions, and when I do it virtually never gets anywhere because so many people vote without even watching.

There are many, many more reviews to flag than submissions that deserve to have the whistle blown on them. I look at the Turd of the Week submission a couple of times per day to see if there have been any more abusive reviews posted. Usually half the reviews made on the TotW manage to break the review guidelines in some way. Also I regularly look at reviews for submissions with a score less than 1.00 to do the same because they get so many reviews that just say "you suck" or "blamblamblamblam".

I guess if you want to earn some easy whistle points that is the way to do it. Hopefully it wont take me too long to get the Deity Whistle but I'm not gonna hold my breath.

Perhaps - I don't mind them, but I do view them as a waste of time nowadays. Seriously, there's much better things to do with your life than sitting at your computer writing up lists of congratulations for dozens of people for milestones reached on a website.

Hey, if they want to write up these lists, go right ahead. I decided to give them up earlier this year since there were more than enough listmakers at the time. Plus, I want to focus more on lounging than saying congrats to everyone.

It isn't that obvious, sadly. It's really more likely they are serious. I mean, after an interview with the magazin "Rock Hard" (the one where Joey said: "I would die for metal") they responded to the criticism they recieved with the song "Die for Metal", they call the music they make "True Metal", they say "we are the only true metal band", they say "we are the spearhead of the metal scene" and so on.
You know, all this makes it really hard to believe they don't mean it serious... There's only so much you can take and Manowar crossed the line in 1980 already. ^^
