Well, he raises a god point - we don't know for sure what happened, as we weren't there :P

I think what the theory is that all of the matter in the universe had attracted all of the other matter together and as a result of the massive gravity of it all compressing together into a singularity, it reached 'critical mass' and exploded.

Kind of like nature's kaleidoscope.

Pratchett does make reference as to when the world will end - Next Saturday, about tea time (Good Omens)

I´m not very familiar with this point system, but it sounds very interesting. So 1 goal and 4 assists is 5 points and the points determine the skill of a player? I haven't played Bioshock, but probably the most epic intro I've ever seen is the one from Shadow of the Colossus, then again the whole game is an epic piece of art.

Some of the fuck-ups weren't really fuck-ups since they were more Doug's opinions but yeah, I'm surprised I didn't catch the bulldozer one. I guess he was being too silly towards the film that it didn't really matter, although I didn't see anything nostalgic about Barb Wire.

Yeah, I think the furore over the death of Optimus Prime was undue, I know he said himself he should have included it, but it's a guy on the internets' list at the end of the day.

Exactly, and he did state his reasons as to why he didn't add that moment. You could say I've made a few mistakes on my Top FF tracks list myself and you know what, there could probably be a few changes done to the list but my top 10 will remain intact.

Whenever someone does a top X of Y there'll always be doubts, omissions and second-guessing yourself, so no point worrying about it I suppose :P

Well, each goal is one point and so is an assist. There are major trophies for the Goal Scoring (Maurice Richard Trophy) and points scored (Art Ross Trophy), which traditionally go to forwards, but Bobby Orr, a legendary Boston defenceman took home the Art Ross twice in his career - the only non-forward to do so.

Goalies tend to be assessed on Wins, save percentage and goals against average (Average number of goals conceded over 60 minutes of Ice Hockey played. Great goalies tend to weigh in with over 30 wins per season, a save percentage higher than 92% (Americans express it as a decimal though, for some reason) and a goals against average of less than 2. The best goalie in the league will win the Vezina Trophy, while the goalie(s) with the best GAA will earn the William M. Jennings trophy.

So they don't feel left out, the NHL awards the best defenceman the James Norris trophy. Seriously, the NHL has an award for everything :P

If it's that epic, I refuse to watch it until I get the game. Still need to find a good time to play it and the next PS1/2 game I was going to play was FFIX again.

Exactly, I even had some people disagreeing with some of my decisions on the list. The one I remember very well is the little amount of FFVIII tracks and I thought was only fair for at least one person to complain about. However, as nice as the FFVIII soundtrack is, I much prefer the others. It still beats FFII, X-2 and XII soundtracks, though.
