Yay i earned 1730 medal points today! :D

Top 250 in EXP

Thanks to Kronno for allowing me to push him out of the top 250. :) Also, I've started playing the Monkey Island remake and so far so good. The only problem is, I'll be rather slow with playing this but slow and steady wins the race, right?

Oh, and here are the Top 250/300 EXP entry dates:

Top 300 - 21/1/09
Top 250 - 19/7/09

Pretty much 6 months between #251 - 300. I'm guessing it'll take 9 months to reach the top 200, so I predict I'll enter the Top 200 next April. Let's see if I'm right or wrong when the time comes.

I did, and I have to admit, I'm disappointed about two things:

1. He wasn't angry enough at Balamb turning into an airship. That should have been a massive freak out like NC's reaction to the Bat credit card.

2. The end already? He went slow with the first 7 parts, but part 8 he went and covered half of the disc 1. Part 9 had a reasonable length, but the finale went fast forward and covered three discs at once.

Despite those points, it was a good finale.

Still it´s weird though. It´s a single released in between two albums, like Electrical Storm, but both those albums were released shortly after eachother... Why not wait to release it with the album and make it the "promotional single" or something?

Well, Electrical Storm was a very different sort of single from U2. Instead of being associated with any one album like MOST singles are/were... wasn't it released on one of the decade-BestOfs double-discs?

Yeah it was released on the best of ´90-2000. Like The Sweetest Thing was on the ´80-´90.

We do have Under A Blood Red Sky here. My dad's bought all the albums U2 ever released except for Wide Awake In America and 16 singles. And I like how he got an original LP of October, even though our LP player doesn´t work so well anymore..

Nothing wrong with having old LPs but no way to play them. I have lots of old 1970s LPs but no record player as of now. Vinyl is nice just to have, especially for the HUGE cover art. #;-}>

Hehe yeah the huge cover art is indeed awesome. Although the October cover art wasn´t much special I think, except that it was nice to see the band in their very young years on the picture.

But the last time I listened to UABRS was several years ago I think. And I didn´t even listen to the album in full then. Just Sunday Bloody Sunday, New Years Day perhaps and it´s how I got familiar with The Electric Co. (which is I think my second favourite U2 song ever). I just always skipped 11 O Clock Tick Tock and songs like that because I didn´t know them and didnt wanted to know them I guess.

And now that I think about, I´m actually not that familiar with the early U2 albums, except for Boy. I haven´t given October and War a good listen yet. Should do that some of these days.

Is the only reason you're familiar with Boy because Electric Co from UABRS got you to listen to Boy beyond I Will Follow more?

Yeah pretty much I think. They also played the Electric Co on the live show I went to four years ago, so that´s also how I got to know that song better. Anyway I liked it a lot and got curious about the original. Then when I saw the album, I noticed that Out of Control and An Cat Dubh/Into The Heart were also on it, which I knew from the live DVD´s (Slane Castle and Chicago respectively). So then I just started to listen to the album in full.

War is an excellent album, start to finish. A couple songs on there I sometimes skip, but it's definitely in the top 5 U2 albums to listen to from start to finish.

Top 5 you say? Well then I´m curious if it´s gonna beat Achtung Baby, The Joshua Tree, Rattle and Hum, Boy or Zooropa (my top 5) :p

And yes indeed I thought No Line On The Horizon sounded a little weird at first. But I had the same feelings with HTDAAB. With U2 I just always gotta get used to it I guess. Giving an album a few more listens, it always starts to sound better and better to me. But in NLOTH case I´m afraid I´ll have to put it on the very bottom of my favourite U2 albums list. It just doesn´t appeal to me that much.

Ah well. They can't live forever. At some point their music is either gonna disappoint you or they're gonna stop releasing it. One way or the other, it has to end.

What is this Steam I keep hearing you talk about by the way? I know it´s something for PC gaming, but I´m not quite sure what it does... =/

Are you kidding the Level 23 sizzle stick was great. I was about 3 years from it, so if there was no redesign I would still be 1 year away from it, But Level 22 was my favorite so it would be tempting to stop 10 experience sort of level 23 though.

It has happened to me and the flash ending up being blammed it I didn't want any saves, I think it was the latter. I screw up my blam and save mini-retirements because of slip ups. I don't have Opera so I can't do that method.

There's just one problem: on my original list, there weren't even all those stats. There were just exp, b/p, and posts. Even if you want to split b/p up and say blams and saves were both original on my list (they were, but not in separate columns), there were no REVIEWS on my original 10k+ list. So... even flash reviews only isn't original.

Well I don't remember why you didn't include flash reviews or just plain reviews in your 1 by 10K list but when I joined there was review stats so its orginal and Yep the penta list topic has B/P or B-P so I guess I should have noticed it.

So where have i been? Well i have been taking a break and posting a bit in the general :::the bunch of idiots they are::: and the Clubs/Crew forums. I just needed some time off and time to think. I won't be back. Until late friday at least. I'm going on vacation to New York City, it's not going to be relaxful to say the least. It has to be my favorite place to go away to, so it should be fun. If you want to go watch the Live with Regis and Kelly show and you may see me on since i got tikets to go :::not that you know what i look like::: but if you want to catch that it will be my first time on tv.

I´m pretty excited for tonight. Gonna go to the U2 concert in the Amsterdam ArenA. And I am just so lucky to have Snow Patrol in the pre-program again (Snow Patrol also being one of my favourite bands). So it´s gonna be an awesome and exciting day for me :)
