16,000 Experience

Something epic is coming along for me on Tuesday and I don't just mean Coop's 5th Birthday :P

AniMetal: Level 27 & 3,000 Medal Points

Now it is level 27 and 4,000 medal points!

Just made myself 1,500 medal points in two days. I feel VERY accomplished.

Why? Just because you see many medal points achievements you won't congratulate those happy (or maybe statwhorish) users? It's quite the same when I see users posting: WOOT! I REACHED X B/P RANK! or YAY! GOT X,000 POINTS/EXP!.

what he is saying is that getting x000 Medals points is so easy that he doesn't care anymore... it's not an important achievement anymore..

Medals points are so easy, that user should only post here when they get 5k, and each 5k more... or 10k, and each 10K more... but because the are not Enough medals yet to do that, we can't put that limits yet

Mmm... It would be pretty nice if we congratulate medal points by each 5,000. Sounds pretty challenging to me reaching 5000 medal points.
But 3,000 points would be perfect for everyone, to be honest :P

I actually meant truly achievements. At first, we thought in congratulating users for each 1k medal points since we didn't have many games with medals, but even if we have some these days, I still find quite challenging reaching 1,000 points. That's why I replied No36's post in first place.

Yeah, I agree. But I'll still congratulate for each 1k medal points until we are really sure and when we have enough games along with plenty of points.

Seeing as for Pico Day ANYONE can use the Medals in their work, up to a maximum of 500 points (provided they get approved ala Tom's blog) I reckon that by the end of the day the max points achievable will have exceeded 10,000. Sounds crazy, but just 12 more games with ~500 points would do it, which given the number of PD flashes that'll be submitted isn't an unreasonable amount.

I just never want to let it hit the stage where literally anyone can use them. Even those with crappy games or movies. I think having only 5 quality games added a month would be better than having 50 crappy ones added a week. Other than that - Bring on the Medals!

I think I have to agree with this.

I would have preferred it if only staff submissions could get medals and a select few artists like Luis and AfroNinja. Like you said, I don´t want 10 crappy new medal games every day. Just one a week or one a month would be okay with me.

Well, I get from Tom's post that the authors will still have to contact him to get the medals into the game. So I don't think that there will be any (or let's say not too much) crappy games with medals.
