Yeah, I'm going away to the Lake District for a few days with my girlfriend on Monday. If I can find an internet cafe, I'll be stopping by, but arrangements have been made for depositing and even the continuation of my B/P total, albeit at a slower rate.

You know, I'm not sure I've ever known exactly where the Lake District is over there. Pray tell?.... America's Lake District is probably Minnesota, land of 10,000 lakes, original home of the LA Lakers and source of their name...

It's around Lancashire, Yorkshire and Northumberland. The lakes tend to clump around the Pennines, which seem to be the spine of Northern England.

It's quiet cause the peops I keep replying to while being way more active than I have in... quite some time... are dropping their end of the bargain. But that's okay.

For me it's kinda nice that it's a bit slower in here, but I can imagine that if it was like this when I made lists, it would be a different matter and I'd probably get bored very quickly. :(

Surely there are other nations that mostly export and don't import much in the EU, though? There must be other benefits.

There's easy moving between the states, you could just go to other countries even without a passport, this is pre 9/11 though, security tightened up. There's the single currency aswell, kinda makes the EU one giant country.
