***A POST FOR GFOX-SPECIFIC REPLIES***
Well guess what?
You get a NEVR-specific reply in return! #;-}>
This is to cut down on list-making time tomorrow,
I sees. List-making time, though? As in congrats lists?
It's a good thing. Although there was a time about a month ago when most of us were having to use 2 posts for our lists/chat, and it started to get pretty insane. If you were posting here back then, it would have turned into an out of control posting orgy of epic proportions!
Oh dear. I woulda flooded teh Wi/Ht?s.
But what if you die earlier from only sleeping 4 hours per night? That was the original point, though, that apparently only sleeping 4 hours a night rather than 8 makes you live longer. I remember hearing it somewhere, but I can't cite it unfortunately. I don't know how credible the theory is, either.
And I pointed out that I thought I heard 6 hours made you live longer than 8 hours, but I've never heard that about 4. 4 seems extreme. But if you ever find the citation, please let us know.
Sometimes all-nighters are much easier to cope with - there's just a point where you push through the tiredness.
Yeah, and where sleep is just a cruel reminder that you ain't gonna get enough of it. So why bother.
Well this is one of the reasons why I was dubious about buying an Xbox in the first place - because there was only the one game I was interested in at that point. Thankfully a few more came out that I wanted, so I did end up with quite a few,
I don't think the original XBox ever had enough games on it to merit buying it unless you're the "must own all consoles" type, which I've never been.
I mean, I had an Atari 2600 and an Intellivision 2... but no Colecovision.
I had a NES and a Sega Master System and a SNES and a Genesis (a lot later), but no TurboGrafx16, NeoGeo, etc...
I had a PSX and a Dreamcast but no N64 or Saturn or Jaguar.
I had a PS2 and a Gamecube but no XBox.
And I have a Wii and no XBox 360 or PS3.
BUT it's now the same thing for the Xbox 360. I haven't bought one, and the only reason I would buy one right now is for Halo 3, so it's not really worth it. If something else awesome like KOTOR 3 came out on 360 though, I'd probably get one then.
Wouldn't a game like KOTOR, which IIRC means Knights of the Old Republic... be coming out for PC also? Anyway, 360 does have some good stuff.
I think that the admins should grant you a higher character limit on your posts :)
'twould be nice, but also insane. Also.. 10k posts would take forever.
Best alt ever? If not, definitely the best '08 alt.
So far, so good for the '08 distinction, yes.

I am a part of Wi/Ht? pop culture, if that's what you mean. But pop culture /= culture.... or... DOES IT on teh intrawebs? Hmmm...
Imagine if there were loads of you... your legend would be diminished, and thus you would not be teh gfox. Or, you would be teh gfox, but a lesser gfox.
Sure, but that's not really what I was thinking of. I was more thinking of how I'd be more sick of myself than anyone's ever been of me. O_o
IMO, there's no better stretch of levels on the NG 60 level system than 41-42-43-44-45. Such an assembled mass of consecutive greatness.I'd have to agree with you there. Shame it's around 3 years until I'll get there...!
Mallet -> Sword -> SpikeyDeath -> Katana -> Scythe FTW!!!
My only regret is I'm nearing the halfway point. Fortunately, each level takes more time, so by the time I get to level 46 it'll be... 2009, 2010?
It's like other people forcing me upon people. I'm sure you felt rather violated when you were twice or even thrice told to say my username instead of a common english word. :)
Yes. Because I noticed other people saying NEVR when they meant NEVER, and that looked like fun and I was even considering starting doing it as well..... UNTIL they started cramming it down my throat, and so I decided NOT to play along. Whereas if they hadn't done that, I'd be NEVRing along with them by now. OOOPS, unintended consequences for the loss? #;-}>
It's funny when it's done in moderation. When it's squeezed in just for the sake of it, then it loses some of it's novelty. Don't wear out my good name guys! :P
Well, don't worry, I won't be doing so, at least.
I was proud to have a genuine gfox comment on my userpage. It was just the transition from having nearly 30 comments to only 2 saddened me.
Very few people have them, actually, as I mostly do UP responding to comments on my own UP.
Is Kellogg's really American? Blimey, I always thought it was British. That's just me being sadly misinformed, then.
Whoops. #;-}> I mean, for all I know, Kellogg's has a production facility in the UK, so it's local cereal. But it's still being controlled by an American corporation.
You are both deviants from the rule, despite being inherent opposites, you are needed to balance each other out, uniting you.
Ah, I see. But then we're Yin and Yang, not exactly the same.
Surprising how much bullshit people can come up with from a simple phrase about cereal :P
Indeed. You're at fault for this, crazy UP news comment topic-creating guy!
PM stats is shit. And I agree with NEVR that only awesome PPDs like 13.337, 11.111, 12.345, etc. are worthy of mention as a standalone "achievement claim post" in this topic, yes.Actually, I believe Bahamut said that, not me - I think yoshi77777 just messed up the quoting. I TOLD YOU TO SORT IT OUT YOSHI!
Whoops! When I was replying to that part I noticed I'd wanted to reply to the original thing that youand/orBahamut said, but I'd already gotten that far and must have snipped the original quote while doing my multi-quote postings, so I didn't bother to go back and try to find the original, I just carried on and replied to it and yoshi's comments at the same time. Either way, doesn't matter who said it, I agree with it.
Basically, CaptainBob locked it, claiming that the mod team felt it caused more problems than it solved (in the form of +1 posting and malicious intent towards the whistle system (creation of spam alts)), and then shortly afterwards (a few hours maybe), Wade unlocked it, until a better solution is devised.
I see. When you said more problems than it solved, I instantly thought of all the posting in it, seeing as how it's about to hit 1000 pages without being even half as cool as this little 2000 page topic right here, but...
Why is that topic to blame for spam alt creation? Wouldn't that happen even without the topic?
I don't know what the fate of that thread will be from here, but there's obviously a fair amount of debate concerning it.
It's way too long and unwieldy and the whistle system is super easy to move ahead in now, so people don't need a centralised location to find flaggable reviews from other flaggers anymore, IMO. I wouldn't mind it being locked, but then I stopped reading it faithfully years ago.
It's not as good as the silver or gold ones, but hey. I wish I hadn't stopped depositing for nearly a year, though - I'd be level 30 by now.
Nah, but gauntlets is gauntlets, and I like the new bronze ones better than the old level 17.
Yeah, and I wish I had deposited more than 90 times in 2000, 2001, and 2002 combined, man. But we can't always have what we wish for. #;-}>
I'll always regret that I didn't get level 16 under the old system. I know that it's still here in the form of level 27, but it's just not the same. It seems to have lost some of its old charm. Oh well.
pauses a moment to reflect on the greatness that was OldLvl16...:::
Yeah, that must blow. I'm glad I had it with all three of my main accounts. I'm sorry for yer pains. ;_;
27's one of my faves, but nowhere near the top of the list like 16 was. 'tis a shame.
