We're supposed to, but if you've ever heard Dogma complaining about this over the past couple of years... then you'd know that most people don't get very many blams (if any) when the whistle lists are cleared, EVEN THOUGH they have indeed whistled some entries and also voted to blam a TON of entries that ended up getting whistled (and yes, we're supposed to get the blam points when those entries get deleted, even if we just voted to blam but didn't whistle as well).

There's just something faulty in the innards of the system. So.... in short, if something gets whistled after you've voted on it/whistled it, consider your blam or save gone forever.

This is why movies that are getting blammed anyway, BTW, shouldn't be whistled. Not only does it deprive 100+ people of their blam point, but it clogs up the whistle list that Wade will eventually just dump months later... AND... it stops the "3 blams within a certain time period = ban from submitting" magic. Only stolen/abusive/obscene movies that are getting SAVED should be whistled, IMO. So vote first, whistle second.

B.) Do I get separate whistle points for catching it twice even though it's the same submission?

You get an amount of points towards your whistle power based on how many flashes (that you whistled) end up getting dumped to the graveyard by Wade. It doesn't matter what's in the .swf files or who the authors are.

No one but the admins knows how many "points" you get for anything, or how many points people like ramagi, TheJoe, and myself have. But yes, it has been said that flagged movies being deleted gets you more whistle points (and thus more power) than flagged reviews being deleted does. There are hundreds of flagged movies. There are tens of thousands of flagged reviews. It only makes sense that the laws of supply and demand apply.

anyway, a couple of random things I didn't feel like quoting but noticed while scanning the past 15 pages or so... and thus wanted to touch upon:

A) Bahamut... that framejob post on latingrounds was so OBVIOUSLY not you. I doubt very many people believed it at all. I knew it was teh lie when I saw it, and hell, I don't know your posting style all THAT well, but I knew it wasn't you saying that shit. #;-}>

B) regarding -5 ending exp amounts on NG and RG... I specifically avoided signing up for anything when I created all my NG accounts that would dump me with a -5 ending exp amount. The only cool thing about it would be 5555, after all. Whereas, -0 ending exp amounts are cool every 100 (or 1000, depending on your tastes) exp.

If anyone really wants to ditch the -5 on RG, let me know and I can admin the 5 away and leave you with a -0 ending exp amount. I've done it for myself and one or two other users.

Heh, I used to write when I was in grade school. Same for drawing, my dad says I was an excellent drawer when I was 10. I was at the time working on a drawing of the Columbia shuttle, but I lost it, and when that happend, all skill with it. :/

As for inspiration from games, more or less lessons learned. I've learned so many lessons from them, and bits about real life as well. They also inspire me to better my self for you see, my dream is to become the king of my own video game empire. Yeah it's a bit out there, but where does all of the stuff you see now come from? Dreams. :)

Heh, yeah, check the earlier pages of this thread, you'll see one of _lightning_s posts about the ammount of XP for one of those levels, yeah, sad indeed. Too bad it's not just the road to level 30, as in the gap between level 29 and level 30 thats affected, instead of all the levels 10 and above.

I do belive he does it whenever, which is every handful of months or so. I know he has a life/job/family and all, but he could break it all down into parts, and do it over the time he has for free time on NG. I sometimes think that NG needs another admin for stuff like that, and other times as well, but I guess the five we have now will do the best they can.

Not that I know of. All I know it does is lower your flagging power. Say, a user with a garbage whistle will be ignored, but the flag command will go into the data base. It's like a voting system I guess you could say[well, it's how I look at it], it takes a certain ammount of whistles to pull something for admin review, like a total of 20 points. I guess it would be like :

garbage - 0 points

normal - 2 points

silver - 4 points

gold - 6 points

deity - 8 points

Ah, I've had days like that as well. Or ones where everyone votes high on crap. People will put a fancy pre-loader on it, or a few seconds of good flash, then it turns too crap. Some people don't watch it, vote whatever, in most cases 5 because alot of users only vote 0 or 5, and the crappy flash passes. :/

But oh well, it's just the way it goes at times, no big deal I guess.

true, but if your a Where is/ How to regular and that's all you do you won't have any posts or barely any. I mean the evidence of you helping that person is gone forever. How can the regulars nominate you if they don't know if you've done anything. I don't know how the whole lock delete process goes. Since they are deleting locked topics. Will they lock the topic, then delete the topic a few days later. I dunno.
