the only people on NG that whine about religous issues are athiest, has anyone ever noticed this

I'm notquite an atheist, more like 50% atheist, 50% agnostic (sp?). I honestly don't give a damn, either way. This means that, when I inevitably die a horrible, horrible death, then if *INSERT DIETY HERE* DOES exist, he can't accuse me of being a heathen/heretic/whatever (Don't try to contradict me on that - I want to keep my naivety), and if he/she/it/whatever doesn't exist, then I won't have wasted any time on worship.

Anyway, religion did have it's uses (and still does in some places), but nowadays it's just a tool used by angry parents to ban everything.

hey don't bring in soccer moms to this. the bible says in numerous places that it is okay to smoke and drink. and since porn or violent and videogames weren't around thats something totally different.

Their not saying "I choose not to believe in what you believe." Instead they seem to be saying "Everything you believe in is full of shit."

Unless ofcourse they got the idea in their head that since there is no God, they should be able to do ANYTHING they want, without fear of consequence, including murder, stealing, and anything else they feel like doing.

Why is it that the atheists are always the ones that are so adamant about their beliefs? Why is it them that are so reluctant to ever consider another viewpoint?

Oh right, because if they're wrong, they're fucked. They can't be wrong. I guess they're just so afraid of going to hell, they tell themselves it doesn't exsist, thus eliminating the fear.

I'd really like to meet a moderate atheist, though. Basically someone who says "Yeah, I don't believe in God, but I can understand why you do, and that's fine."

Never have yet, though. I guess it's always the most radical ones that are the biggest assholes.

Same goes for the radical fundamentalists. They're fucked if they're wrong too, because they've dedicated their lives to something that isn't there. Which isn't as bad as going to hell, but it'll still suck.

Anyway, I don't really know what the point of that post was. Just an observation, I s'pose.

I myself think that god, as the majority sees him/her/it/them, doesn't exist. (right now a voice from above says:"Is that your final thought?") But still I see why some people need faith in their life to keep them going.

my god your become them don't you know. you press your belief and if anyone denies your thoughts, you call them nazi, and retards. look I'm not a religionous nut, I'm spiritual. meaning that I think that theres more to the universe than physical facts. I don't say no is what I'm trying to say.

anyways atheist and christians have the same characteristics(not saying that every christian in the world is like this just ones that pearch at someones school.)
