If you really want easy ones, use swift 3d, but it sucks, and you will be highly limited.
If you have the cash (it's expensive, even the student version), get Maya. It's the most powerful 3d program out there. It's the one dreamworks uses.
Besides dreamworks movies such as Shrek and Shark Tale, Maya was used for The Matrix, The Lord of the Rings, Final Fantasy, and many more.
If you want to become serious about 3d, get Maya. Maya's company, Alias|Wavefront is located at www.alias.com

I got to fool with Maya 6.5 for six hours once, kick ass stuff. Try that one. It's insanely easy to learn.

Swift 3D is good for small 3D graphics in flash. Not used for full all out 3D movies. As said before very limited but i have it and it has been very useful. The only person i can thing of using swift is Adam Phillips, the guy who make the Brackenwood series. It was used in Prowlies at the River.

before you start maya learn Lightwave easyier and if you learn it you wont need to learn as much in Maya....whoever said Maya is easy is a stupid idiot coz its the hardest program ....you probably found out how to make a circle....

Hey, maya is the way to go point blank, maya isnt THAT hard. Get the free one first to learn it, and if you like it buy it, its very expensive though so i just got the free one for now until i get alot better. Basic point though, get maya and forget all the others because none of them really compare, wait 3dmax might, or was it....................nvm maya rocks point blank!

Depends what you want to get into for 3d Software.
Maya's great for it's rendered content, but 3dsMax has an easier time of making models for real-time play. Develop magazine likes to put Max above Maya for game development for some reason.
Either one will get you into decent 3d animation though

Anim8or is easy to use, it's not an excellent modeler but it's great for beginners.
It's free too, which is a plus.

GG uses/d Swift 3d once. He made those ebul dogs in egg Hunter, and almost all his 3d stuff.

I have swift 3D 4.0 and I think its fairly easy to use. It is veerry easy to make simple objects and combine objects and color them, so you can make some really neat stuff. But like TwinsenDude said, it IS limited. Even though I can't afford Maya I hear wonders about it and everyone says its the best. I know so far that it takes a while to get used to but eventually you can make some kick ass stuff on there, and use it in animations! I say go for maya if you can, but if not swift 3d is perfect for making objects of any kind (e.g bed, phones, computers, lamps) you name it and you can make it. :)
