I usually get more than that within 5 minutes of submitting my games/movies, but I usually only submit quality stuff on Clock Day :P. Too bad I didn't finish in time this year. :( These 2 movies somehow managed to luck out and win awards because they were swept off the portal so fast to negate the balancing effect of after judgement.

Wow, Mushroom 4 was awful and screwed up. Some people today thought they wouldn't have a chance since it's clock day. Man, where did all there clocks some from? I look at one crappy Clock Crew flash and it had about 14 reviews with the overall score of 10/10 for written reviews. Dang Clocks. The only Clock I ever liked was Pillow Clock and he moved on doing fairly well. Pretty dang sad seeing Mushroom 4 get 4th place and a overall score of 4.01. :/ Dang, when I voted zero on that flash, it did some pretty dang damage. Congrats clocks, you raped the portal and got flashes like Mushroom 4 4th place. Today for me was Newgrounds hell seeing all these Clock Crew flashes on front page. -.- I'm sorry clocks but most of you can't animate worth a crap. The Clock Crew flash today that I thought has anything of goodness was today's 1st place. Good job Strange Clock. You made something worth a crap for a daily place award. It was actually pretty impressive. That's probably the first time I said something like that for a Clock Crew flash since who knows. -.-

Holy spinach lasagna, what a day. Newgrounds ran away with us. It was fun and occasionally not so fun, and I'm sorry to see the entire daily top 5 wasn't filled with Clock movies... Broken Clocks should've had at the very least a 4.12 score, more likely a 4.20+ score, and deserved whatever score high enough to be daily feature. I feel its score took a serious hurt from being showcased on the top left spot of the front page while voters were angry at the portal spam and looking for a way to lash out. Had I submitted earlier or Renegade later, I think our scores would've been a lot more evenly matched.

Oh well, that's my take on the matter. Anyone up for joing me at the Atomic Bar for the Clock Day afterparty?

Interesting, I suppose the definition of "popular artist" is one with a reasonable batting average. There was a lot of them submitting yesterday. :D

Weird day yesterday, loads of (crappy) submissions which all got high scores. I'm glad at least my favorite clock won the daily first. I haven't seen that movie yet, gonna check it out later. Anyway congrats to all the winners.

I wouldn't say rarely... It's just that a bunch of non-clock crew members decided to upload a ton of clock crew related flash that was pretty shitty. A good amount of the real Clock Crew flash movies were protection worthy in my opinion. I hate those people who 0 Clock Crew flash movies instantly. Not all of them are bad.

Happy Clock Day, a day late.

... I can't believe that Newgrounds gave a page for all the crappy submissions that spammed the portal yesterday. Yes, I realize that there were some good clock submissions, but the majority of them were just crap. Hell, I could have posted a picture of my ass with a clock on it, and the submission would have passed judgement.

Even I'm listed as one of the popular artists, must be my two portal awards an A+ Batting average. :)

LMAO at the big list of popular authors! I find that really good and insane! Yesterday was a very good day for the Portal. I'd like to thank everyone who submitted a flash yesterday, except for the ones that made awfully crap flashes.

Don't feel too proud. It isn't hard to become a popular artist. All you need is a B+ battling average or was it just B to be a popular artist and a B doesn't require much anyways. So you submit 2 movies today and you will already get a B average if you already have at least one movie submitted before. I was expect that many "popular" artist to show up.

Why are you being so upset about that. You won daily feature. What? You wanted your friend’s movie to win instead. That’s umm very weird.

Don’t you think that’s enough showing off? Posting about your awards on your profile and the forums? And no all you need is a B+ battling average to be listed as popular which isn’t hard to get

it was just a "please Delete this movie" thing. What's the big idea, advertiseing something you deleted?

Anyway, yesterday was like a tornado. It may have caused some damage, but Dang if it wasn't one of the coolest things I ever saw. So many movies all at once like that.

My favorite part about that was that it sort of took me back to the newgrounds of a few years back. Where there weren't so many huge cinematic movies, and the grade curve was a little easier.
Nostalgic.

An interesting day to be sure, I went from 1990 b/p points to 2230 b/p points in a single 24 hour period.

I started trying to be objective but as the hours went by and I lost out on more and more points, I succumbed to the will of the wisp. I couldn't even be bothered to make it a 2 by the end because I was going though the submissions so fast and furious that sometimes I would slip and give a 0 or 1 instead of the 2 and I WANTED those points!

1,069 entries, WOW! Only 204 deleted as well, I saw over fifty pieces in judgment at the same time before I went to bed at 8AM. Just absolutely incredible and I'll admit it, fun! There is something I found exhilarating about just voting high without even looking at most of the movies. Such a crazy day should only be done once a year though. I hope the lock, glock and start syndicate days (along with future copycats) never get as bad.

Congrats Strangeclock, not only did you make the FIRST submission for the official clock day but you also got daily feature.

Collecting NG's undiscovered gems has been a hobby of mine since 2005. I am curently posting them on my blog.

Feel free to check them out and tell me what you think.
