I don't want to cut short the postings by Tom today, but there is something we're going to be working on over the next couple of days that I'd like to point out. We have a new database server that we're excited about adding into the cluster (and removing the old database server, even though it has served us well).
This is just basically a note to say if all goes well at the data-center tomorrow with Tim, he should have the new server racked up by tomorrow morning. If that happens, none of you will notice anything until Wednesday morning, at around 7am EDT - at which point the whole site will be down, for at least a couple of hours, until we've made all the tweaks we need to and what not to get the new server in place.
If things go wrong tomorrow, Tim will post a message saying so - otherwise, he'll post a message to say that things are going ahead as planned with the database swap-out. I just thought I'd leave this message to give you guys plenty of warning, since many of our users are all on different time zones.
Hope everyone enjoyed Clock Day today! For those who despise the Clock Crew - Let It B.
