People are giving us a bad name, and flooding our hard work off the portal with their spam.

We should have sole and exclusive control over the portal on Clock Day, because let's face it, there aren't going to be any non-clock movies that stand a chance if they're submitted on Clock Day. It would help us represent ourself as a group more fairly.

This day sucks! Can't blame even when its a 5 meg still image of B. ABUSE.

Not even mentioning the clock submissions, what about this 4 meg flash where the 5 second soundfile is being repeated and looped and the drawing sucks:
http://www.newground..m/portal/view/258951

When the hell is newgrounds gonna deal with abusive submissions like the one above? Whats the point of the blam and protect system if you people can't blame? Should I just give in and protect all these crappy submission and earn 50 protect points instead of not blaming horrible 1 second still flashes that pass judgement and missing out on 50 points?

Error - the server is under extreme load at the moment and is unable to process your request. Please check back later! Please click here to go back to the main portal listing.

Ok... can we admit we've got a problem now? Please. Everything is running noticably slower, and it is oh so hard to sift through all these animations to find the decent ones. The rankings for the movies will be all screwed up also. I enjoy the free protection points as much as the next guy, but Blam points are just as good. I prefer to be a little more fair.

Is this a flash that should pass judgment:
http://www.newground..m/portal/view/259068

It's a 2 second slide of a couple of words, thats all it is, it's gonna pass with a 3.5 or more.

The system is seriously flawed when something like that can pass. Someone should be moderating all submissions just like a forum does with threads.

I'm starting too see the statistics server going berserk. Instead of giving the usual "You gave this entry a [x], [lowering/raising] it's score from [y] to [z]"
Only now, it just posts: "You gave this entry a [x]" and that's all that gets posted.
I hope NG server can handle the load, but I'm starting to get my doubts, new submissions are added after a couple of seconds...

I will probably make a parody if I bother.

Say, did you get the letter I sent to you? No? Maybe that's because I forgot to whack you in the face.

Now I don't know if this is a problem because the server cant handle all of this CRAP, or if it is the doing of Tom or someone at Newgrounds, but after voting on a submission it no longer tells you the score of the submission or whether or not you raised or lowered it. It only tells you what you entered and that you will get blam or protect points depending on if either happens. I hope someone did this intentionally and it isnt some problem.

Just click zero people on this spam

I'd rather vote 2 and get Protect points at the same time.

Tahnok, buddy. C'mere. In this world there's stars and tards.

The stars are the ones who are unique based on their seemingly natural ability to think and speak at the same pace much to the delight of those around.

The tards act like stars in an attempt to undo a failed social life in a previous neighborhood, and end up becomming tools for the stars they assume they've been accepted by.

Tahnok, you are a tard card extraordinare like no other. An inspiration to those who unwittingly endure the art. If you did a parody of the clock crew, it would be evidence of something that nobody questioned in the first place. A fucking moron attempting to cope with being a fucking moron by diagnosing another fucking moron as such.

Just stop, listen, and for the love of god stop letting your mom dress you.

Totally wrong. Thats the problem with newgrounds.

Well I'm gonna give in slightly, I'm lowering my standards just for today. If it's a still image, vote 0, if it's got animation or moving vote 2, if it's got dialogue vote 3-5.

Yea, pictures moving on a background full of Bs is a 2 for today.... sigh.

Thirty some odd minutes later, and the count is now at 561 entries. Thats an average of around 1 submission every minute and a half since the first clock day submission last night.

James removed that notification to prevent score sharing. The site is handling the traffic just fine. :)

Well I did it. Lowered my standards and voted sub-fairly. If your animation was moving 2, if it had dialogue/sound 3-5, if it was a still 0.

Whoever didn't vote fairly should be punished. Anyone voting 5 excessively should get the same punishment that people that vote 0 excessively.

Will this only be temporary during this issue or what?
Part of me hoping it is because this has never been a problem before...

I don't know whats needed to be included in a collection, but I would just like my attempt to be noticed a wee bit more cause it went so fast from the 50 most recent. It did get a 3.66, but of course its clockday...

My Clock Day 2005 Flash...

It would be great if it would go into the collection, but if not, I understand.
I'm just hoping.

Anyways, Happy Clock Day 2005, I guess.
