how do you fade a symbol you know like an arm a bitmap pic or sumthin in flash the timeline effects go wrong some times and take up a completely different layer.

why didn't you put 'how do you fade?' instead of just 'how do you' cos its fairly annoying getting curiosity sucked into a thread you really can't help in -_-

Just change the ALPHA property, via properties.

Don't you have to break the symbol up first? I dont think you can fade symbols. And with bitmap images it'll just all turn into w/e colour you've selected.

Wrong way round. You can fade symbols, and only symbols (unless you use an alpha fill in FBF).
