i usually write a demo, then the full song, then a loop of the best part of the song.

if i dont do it that way, i write the loop first, THEN the full version.

sometimes its just the loop.

so yeah i have about 7-8 or more songs that are loops that can be used in Flashes.

i think the audio portal has become more of a music testing kind of area. i like getting opinions from people. but now, people make whole songs that flash artists use, instead of just small loops. unfortunately, no one's used mine yet....

about half of all my tracks used in the portal were loops. Most of these loops were in games. Animators making movies are more interested in short tracks, because its hard to end a loop in a movie, but easy in a game. Full tracks very rarely get used though, and the ones that do are normaly video game remixes (from experience).

If you want people to review your audio and vote, do full tracks. If you want your audio to be used, do video game loops. It just depends on what you want.

Spams is referring to a thread, this one to be exact . Loops for the Audio Portal's front page. If I'm wrong though... hmm I doubt it but if I'm wrong spam, you can spit on my grave when I'm dead :)

ya I'm pretty sure he was talking about that as well.

Sadly we tried this a long time ago - before the audio forum was made - nothing happened with that either. Thats why I took all of this with a grain of salt when I saw all of you trying to do it yet again.

From what liljim told me way back then - paragon just happened to have like 10 second loops in flash format ready for use when that audio portal updaye was made - which is why they used his music. Liljim told me that he cannot just listen to the songs and approve of them - they have to be listened to by every important head of newgrounds before a decision is made.

Well stuff it, i'll make a loop and add it to the pile, tho i get the feelin my loop is gonna be too mellow (ie boring) to the majority of the NG demographic (ie younger teenagers)
