I'm a Hufflepuff *bows head in shame*. May I join the club?

Also, I haven't read the 7th yet, I'm still rereading the whole series before I read the 7th book. I'm highly anticipating it :)

I'm a huge Harry Potter fan I'm going to join.
Right now I'm reading the first book but I watched all the movies. The books seem to be better.

Ouch. I went cold turkey. I haven't read 1-6 in more than a year, and out of nowhere, the night that #7 came out, I read it. It literally took me 11 hours. I read every word, and relished it. After you read 4-6 (which are the worst in my opinion) 7 will be like a gift from god. I couldn't put it down.

The worst!?

Goblet is the best in my opinion.
Though I feel its not as good on repeated reads.
Order was good the second time, but I hated it the first.

I'm reading Hallows again the now. After speeding through it the first time its nice to read it again at a slower pace and relish it, picking up the things you'll have missed and what not.

And yeah, Snape's memory bit is good.
Its a pity he died in such a way, he was always a fascinating character, even when he was alledgedly bad.

I loved the bits in Order's filom of Snape's Worst Memory.... the actor playing young Snape was just cool :D.

I would love to be a part of this club, I got sorted to Gryffindor btw.

I have a question though, After I read the Epilogue, After page 759 there are like 7 blank pages. Does anybody else's book have that?

Yeah that part was nice, I felt bad when I read remus and tonks died. Even more so since they just had a kid :(
The Gringotts chapter was sick, I liked that one.

Did anyone notice that Teddy Lupin was going to school, yet he would've been at least 18, possibly 19 at the time?
Obviously, the 7th year at Hogwarts starts when you're 17.

So either JK made an error.
Or Teddy wasn't going to school at all, but instead being a bit paedophilic by getting off with kids :P.

LOL, Yeah I didn't think about that....
Maybe they put him in the freezer for a while. And I do hope that he was making out with a 7th year.
So is he super hairy or something, I mean he IS have wearwolf.

You know what I found strange, after Voldemort kicks the bucket. Rowling says all the death eaters are either caught or go into hiding. So what after 19 years they all suddenly started liking Mudbloods and Muggle borns? I mean I know Voldemort was their leader and most powerful member, but it would be strange for the whole organization of death eaters to fall apart and do nothing for the rest of their lives, or live abroad forever.

Yeah, but in all fairness, a bunch of kids made them look like fools a bunch of times.
I doubt they would've lasted against the wrath of the entire population of wizards.

Voldemort was brilliant.
The rest are mediocre.
And you can't follow the mediocre.

And they all went into hiding and being good when Voldemort first "died". No different, cept this time they have no hope of Voldy returning :P.

Yeah I suppose, except for Bellatrix, that bitch is fucking brutal. She would have probably started plans to try and exterminate non pur bloods.

It would be mad funny if he made an extra Horcrux though.
I wish Rowling put more detail into the ending, I mean just "19 years later" and a few pages ins't enough IMO. She could have made it more descriptive about what happened afterward, I mean like 50 people dided in Hogwarts and shit.

Actually he could have just been saying goodbye to Victorie, since she was going to school. It was said that Teddy had dinner with the Potters 4 xs a week, and how could he do that while he was at Hogwarts?

Anyways, can I join? I got sorted into Gryffindor

The books are ALWAYS better, it really upsets me some of the things they leave out. Like in Goblet of fire they didn't even show any Quidditch during the World Cup! And in 5 they didn't even mention "Weasley is Our King"

I finished 7 Sat afternoon. So fucking crazy, its my favorite. I can't believe Snapes story

Yeah Snape's story shocked me a little I didn't expect it after he used Avada Kedevra on Dumbledore in book 6. Yeah 7 has to be by far the best of the series followed by half blood prince and OOP. I read all the books but I only own 6 and 7. I'm hoping to get the full set but that would take quite a bit of money so I'm gonna settle with onyl having 4,5,6 and 7.

Well she died against Mrs Weasley pretty quickly.
So clearly she wasn't anything special :P.

Ummm...dude. Remember what happened after he left the first time (11 years before #1)? Basically all crime stopped and all the death eaters went into hiding, or were imprisoned. The same probably happened after Harry kicked his ass.

The deathly hallows movie could be great, but after seeing Goblet of Fire and Order of the Phoenix im a bit scared about storyline cuts in the final two films. There seemed to be tremendous amounts cut from Goblet of Fire, though Order of the Phoenix was slightly better at maintaining the integrity of the book.

Mind you, there's alot in deathly hallows that can be cut down, during the middle when they're in hiding and that. I think The Prince's Tale chapter should definately be taken care of for the film, because it would be shite if it was watered down.

Woah let's not get ahead of ourselves we still have yet to see The half blood prince.
I haven't seen Order of the Phoenix movie, is it like 3 hours long? Because the book was like 800 something pages. Deathly Hallows by far would make the best mvie, in terms of action. I mean come on the 7 harry potters part, break in into the ministry, Gringotts, hunting for the Horcruxes, battle of Hogwarts, Princes tale, and Voldemort duel(although it was rather short and slightly disappointing).

Maybe it was just first impressions, but I thought Order seemed like a vastly superior film.
I watched Goblet the other night and its too fast for you to care for anything. If you've not read the book, it makes little sense as to what is happening.

Order however seemed a lot more coherant and stable.
And the score was amazing :D. Whoever did the music is a good man :).

Also Michael Gambon is gay. He's:
A - Too young to be Dumbledore.
B - Too angry to be Dumbledore.
C - Looks too dirty and untrusting... wouldn't put it past him to be a paedophile.
D - He's not Ian McKellan! He'd be a much better Dumbledore.

Alright, I'd like to join in with the appreciation of Harry Potter. Just finished the 7th book and it was greater than I could have imagined :) I'm having a hard time deciding my favourite book, it was Azkaban until Goblet was published.. now I'm thinking the Deathly Hallows.

I concur, he lacks the magistic, kindly nature Dumbledore is supposed to have.. He's totally miscast, Ian McKellan shoulda been chosen. Whilst reading the books I see McKellan.. ;)

Nein. Gambon is the one who's been in the role since Azkaban.

I thought Gambon was awful in Goblet, far too angry and shouty, like when Harry got through to the tournament. He was better in the other two he's been in. More mysterious.

I figure I'll join. The best part of the last book for me was the revelation about Snape which shows his character as sympathetic and that he continually sacrficed for others his entire life, even to the point of killing on command his (assumed, as he doesn't really like anyone else) only friend and boss at Dumbledore's behest.
