Hmm... I'm drawing a blank. I think it's because music didn't really get good till the 90s.

But for the 80's I'll say that the best band was Jane's Addiction (1988).

Genesis's "Dancing with the moonlit knight" is one of my favourite songs from the seventies. Dont know about the eighties, That was pretty bad.

My favorite song from the 70's is Paradise by the Dashboardlight by Meat Loaf(1977 I thought) and well, there are loads of songs that I like from the 80's. I like the music from the 80's more then I like the music from these days actually.

Just check out the chart-toppers and all that shit, and about 1/5 of those songs is ok and 1/20 is good.

Hehe, at least someone read my post. Yeah, Nirvana sucks though. I'm just not into the whole, y'know, thing that people suddenly like music from that time period. I like these bands though:
